Chapter 100: The Mighty Akimichi
"Is this the power of the Great Flame Dragon?" Hashirama muttered, feeling his Wood Locking Wall strain to its limits. "Wood Style: True Iron Wooden Cage!"
He reinforced the prison with a second layer of hardened, metallic wood. By the time the last of the black flames sputtered out, the reinforced cage was scorched and splintered, but it had held. Inside, Hatake Hizashi remained, shaken but unharmed.
"See? I told you if our Uchiha got involved, it would mess with your plan," Madara said, rising to his feet with a look of utter impatience. "Alright, Raizen, you're done. Hashirama, stop playing around and finish this!"
As he stood, the shadow binding him simply… snapped. The Nara Patriarch, already straining to contain Hashirama, had no hope of holding Madara. The sheer force of his chakra shattered the technique like glass.
"Fine, I didn't want to be too harsh," Hashirama conceded. "Wood Style: Nativity of a World of Trees!"
Instantly, a forest of colossal trees erupted from the ground, spreading outwards from Hashirama in a raging, living tide.
"Wood Style: Pollen World Technique!"
As the trees reached their full height, giant flower buds bloomed atop them, releasing a thick, pink pollen into the air.
Cough! Cough!
"What kind of jutsu is this? It's affecting our motor functions!" the Nara Patriarch gasped, his movements becoming sluggish.
The difference in power was now starkly apparent. Before, they had been able to pressure Hashirama. Now, it was clear they were not even in the same league.
"Akimichi! Now! Destroy this forest!" the Nara leader commanded.
"Tch. Pollen of this level is child's play!" the Akimichi Patriarch boomed. "Multi-Size Technique: Hundredfold!"
In the next moment, the Akimichi leader swelled into a gargantuan titan dozens of meters tall. With a single, casual sweep of his massive arm, he flattened entire swathes of the enchanted forest as if they were mere saplings.
"Whoa! This fat guy is no joke!" Uchiha Raizen exclaimed, genuinely impressed.
He remembered Choza Akimichi's father, who could grow to maybe ten meters at best. His power was formidable, but this was on another level entirely. And this was just the basic Multi-Size Technique, not even the terrifying Butterfly Mode. The Akimichi Patriarch had just casually dismantled Hashirama's Sage Art forest.
"You didn't know?" Madara said, walking up to stand beside Raizen. "The Akimichi clan possesses the strongest pure taijutsu in the world. Even Hyūga Tenjin would need to land a full Eighty Gods Vacuum Strike just to break his defense, let alone kill him. And after enlarging, his strength is mountain-shattering. My father once told me that aside from Senju Butsuma, this man was the last person he ever wanted to face. It seems his power has only grown since then."
"To think this big guy is that strong," Raizen mused. "Should we go help him out?" he asked with a sly grin.
"Help him?" Madara scoffed. "Even if that fatso uses Butterfly Transformation, he's still no match for Hashirama."
Hearing Madara's utter confidence in his friend, Raizen simply shrugged and found a nearby rock to sit on. If Madara wasn't worried, he wouldn't waste the energy.
"The Akimichi's Multi-Size Technique," Hashirama's voice echoed from within his wooden giant. "It is as formidable as the legends say. Sage Art: Wood Golem Jutsu!"
A colossal wooden humanoid, rivaling the Akimichi titan in size, rose from the earth and charged forward to meet the giant's attack.
As Hashirama invoked his Sage Mode, Raizen's Sharingan caught a glimpse of something new on the ground: a faint, shimmering orb labeled "Sage Art Talent." His heart leaped, then sank. If I'd known he'd drop this, I wouldn't have used all my pickups for the day!
He could only watch it fade, a precious opportunity lost. But a new thought occurred to him. Given his current relationship with Hashirama, acquiring that talent in the future shouldn't be too difficult. For now, he would watch the clash of titans, a spectacle of raw power the world rarely witnessed.
