Chapter 61 - Chapter 19 - The Beast of Apocalypse and the Color of Extinction

Location: The Floating City of Agreas (Vampire Territory)

Event: The Resurrection of Trihexa (666)

The sky over the Vampire Kingdom was no longer blue. It was a swirling vortex of chaotic mud and despair.

Rizevim Livan Lucifer hovered above the city, laughing maniacally. Below him, the massive seal containing the Apocalyptic Beast, Trihexa (666), was cracking.

"Come forth!" Rizevim shouted. "The beast that even God feared! Let us rewrite the world into a chaotic playground!"

The seal shattered.

A roar that deafened the entire planet erupted. Seven heads. Ten horns. A body that spanned the horizon. Trihexa emerged, and its mere presence began to warp reality.

Issei Hyoudou and Vali Lucifer attacked immediately.

"Dragon Shot!"

"Divide!"

Their attacks hit the beast's hide and... did nothing. The beast regenerated faster than they could damage it. It swatted Vali out of the sky like a fly.

Rizevim smirked. "Useless! 666 has infinite regeneration! You cannot kill it! You cannot seal it! It will eat the world!"

Raiden stood on a crumbling tower, watching the beast. He looked bored, but his eyes were calculating.

Runeas Gremory landed beside him.

"Raiden. That thing... it's biological waste. Its regeneration is linked to the core of the planet. If you try to eat it, it will regenerate faster than you can swallow. You'll choke."

"I know," Raiden said. "It looks greasy. I don't want to put that in my mouth."

He closed his eyes, recalling a memory from three days ago.

Flashback: Gremory Mansion Garden

Raiden was having tea with Venelana Gremory, Rias's mother and the former strongest Bael.

"You possess great hunger, Raiden," Venelana smiled, sipping her tea. "But sometimes, you cannot eat the enemy. Sometimes, you must simply remove them from the board."

She raised a finger. A condense ball of brown-black energy formed. It wasn't the crimson red of Rias. It was the primordial Power of Destruction of the Bael Clan.

She erased a mountain in the distance. No sound. No explosion. It just ceased to exist.

"Can you eat this?" Venelana asked.

Raiden grinned. "Let me taste."

He bit her aura. He absorbed the Bael Lineage Trait.

End Flashback.

Back in the present, Raiden stepped forward.

The wind howled around him.

"Issei! Vali! Move!" Raiden's voice boomed.

The two Dragons looked back.

"Raiden! It's invincible!" Issei screamed.

"Nothing is invincible," Raiden muttered. "Some things are just... trash."

Raiden raised his right hand.

He didn't open his mouth. He didn't activate Gluttony.

Instead, the air around him began to vibrate. A dense, heavy aura began to leak from his body.

It wasn't the black of the Void.

It was the Dark Red of Absolute Destruction.

Rizevim stopped laughing. He looked down at Raiden.

"That energy... that's the Power of Destruction? But the density... it's impossible! It's denser than the original Lucifer's!"

Raiden pointed his palm at the massive body of Trihexa.

"I'm not hungry right now," Raiden said cold. "So I'm taking out the garbage."

"Extinction Protocol: Zero."

VWOOM.

A beam of concentrated reddish-black energy shot from Raiden's hand.

It wasn't a laser. It was a wave of Anti-Existence.

The beam hit Trihexa's center mass.

There was no explosion.

There was no fire.

The beast didn't roar. It couldn't.

Where the beam touched, the beast simply vanished.

The regeneration factor triggered, trying to heal the wound, but the Destruction Magic was spreading like a virus. It was erasing the cells, then erasing the energy trying to heal the cells, then erasing the concept of the beast itself.

"What?!" Rizevim shrieked. "It's not regenerating?! The destruction is faster than the creation?!"

Raiden clenched his fist.

The beam expanded, enveloping the entire mountain-sized monster.

"Disappear."

The Power of Destruction imploded.

The Beast 666 - the threat that required God to sacrifice himself to seal - was scrubbed from the timeline.

No blood. No bones. Just empty sky.

Silence.

The sky cleared. The chaotic mud was gone.

Raiden stood on the tower, smoke rising from his hand.

He looked at Rizevim.

Rizevim was trembling. For the first time in his long life, the son of Lucifer knew terror.

"You... you erased it? You didn't seal it... you didn't kill it... you deleted it?"

Raiden flashed in front of Rizevim.

Rizevim tried to activate his Sacred Gear Canceler.

"Cancel this!"

Raiden didn't use a Sacred Gear. He used the Bael Magic he had mastered.

He grabbed Rizevim's arm.

"Destruction."

Rizevim's arm turned to dust instantly.

"AAAAHHH!"

"You rely on tricks," Raiden said, grabbing Rizevim by the neck. "You rely on beasts. You rely on legacy. But when faced with pure power... you're just an old man."

Raiden held up his other hand, charging a small sphere of Destruction.

"Any last words? Make them tasty. I might eat your soul after I destroy your body."

Rizevim spat blood. "You... act like a Devil... but you are something worse..."

"I'm the Joker," Raiden reminded him.

Snap.

Raiden crushed Rizevim's neck, then fired the Destruction sphere point-blank into the body, erasing Rizevim Livan Lucifer from existence.

Raiden landed on the ground.

The Gremory Peerage, the Vali Team, and the Vampire forces stared at him in awe/horror.

Rias walked up, her eyes wide.

"Raiden... that was my Mother's power. The Power of Destruction. How..."

"I sampled it during tea," Raiden shrugged. "It leaves a dry aftertaste."

He rubbed his stomach.

"Using that much magic burned a lot of calories. I'm starving."

Vali landed, detransforming. He looked at the empty sky where 666 used to be.

"You erased the Apocalyptic Beast because you didn't want to eat it?"

"It looked gross," Raiden said seriously. "Like spoiled meat."

Ravel Phenex ran up with a towel and a water bottle.

"Raiden-sama! Calculations complete! You used 80% of your reserves to maintain that output! We need to refuel you immediately!"

"Good," Raiden looked around the Vampire city. "Is there a buffet nearby?"

Gasper Vladi, who had been hiding in a box during the fight, poked his head out.

"My... my family has a banquet hall..."

Raiden picked up Gasper.

"Lead the way, bat-boy. If the food is cold, I'm erasing the castle."

Location: The Underworld - Lucifer Castle

Sirzechs Lucifer watched the report on a magical screen.

He saw the footage of Raiden erasing Trihexa.

Beside him, Venelana Gremory smiled proudly.

"My, my. He mastered the Bael trait in three days. He truly is a prodigy."

Sirzechs slumped in his chair.

"Mother... he didn't just master it. He amplified it. That beam could have erased the Underworld."

Sirzechs looked at the stack of paperwork on his desk labeled 'Raiden Damage Control'.

"We can't contain him anymore," Sirzechs sighed. "He isn't a piece on the board. He's the player who flips the table."
