Chapter 19 - Changing plans

Situations like Rowans were occurring in many executive offices all over Metro city, and other cities across the United States.

This was a part of Ludo's marketing strategy. He'd sent a demo of Blue 1.0 to every one of his competitor companies in an attempt to essentially, showcase its capabilities in a grandiose fashion, so that he could garner as much attention on it as he could.

His original plans of slowly pushing out an AI assistant to the market for your every day, average consumer to use at a low price point — maybe on a monthly subscription type basis — were completely thrown out when he saw just how capable Blue was.

Now, he realised that he stood a lot to gain by catering his marketing efforts towards the mega rich CEOs of his competitor companies, and essentially selling the cheap copy of Blue to the highest bidder — which Ludo imagined that there would be quite a lot of money on the table when he did so.

Before buying and testing out the Virtual AI Assistant from the trading hub, Ludo had no idea just how capable a 'near Middle level 1' AI was, but after testing it for himself? He knew that the technology in his hands was FAR more powerful than he'd imagined.

Using something like that just to push out a slightly better product to the market over a period of months or years just didn't make sense in his mind.

Why would he be happy with earning thousands, or maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars a month if he was lucky enough, if he could sell the technology to the highest bidder and become a multi-millionaire overnight?

The choice was just obvious, especially when you consider the fact that Ludo's goal was never just to sell a product, get rich, and retire happily ever after.

And it also wasn't hard to realise that his competitors wouldn't take the release of a product so much better than theirs lightly either. There was bound to be some pushback from them, or even some direct silencing of any of his advertisements or the like using their connections.

He needed starting funds to really get his business with the Galactic Terminal going, and this was just the perfect opportunity that he had grasped.

The idea to send the Demo file to all of his competitors was one that he had thought of as something ridiculous at first, but upon going over it with Blue, he had found that it was likely the method that had the highest likelihood of success.

Letting the executives of those high esteem companies experience just how special and groundbreaking the technology was for themselves was essentially him fast forwarding any attempts of getting their attention.

Though, most of the credit and effort had to go towards Blue though.

If it wasn't for Blue scouring the internet for each of these executive's personal emails, or other private methods of contact, none of this would have been possible.

Such high profile people would have otherwise completely ignored a complete nobody like Ludo, or laughed off any attempt of communication once they realised what he was trying to sell them.

Ding!

'Oh would you look at that, a reply already! I wonder who its from…'

Ludo's laptop pinged with a notification that he'd received a new email, this one being from the CEO of ChatCGT himself.

His website was already up and running, with his business contacts all on there for anyone to see, so it was no shock to him that he'd been contacted personally.

And as if to get the ball rolling, when the first one came in, so did all of the others.

It seemed that before contacting Ludo, or rather Bluestar Technologies, his new friends had contacted each other to probe and see if they had been sent the same thing, and to nobody's surprise, they all had.

Ludo wasn't surprised by this either, aside from a rare few like Rowan of ChatCGT, despite being competitors on the surface, many of these high level executives all had business dealings with each other and some even considered each other friends, so them checking with each other like this was expected in his eyes.

Not to mention it was exactly what he wanted from them.

If Ludo had just sent the email to one, or a few of the companies, then they might have considered it a bluff or a scam. But the fact that he had contacted all of them told them that this was a serious product, and a gleaming business opportunity for whoever could grasp it first.

And now that they all knew they were competing against each other to see who could be the eventual winner, the potential earnings for Ludo had just multiplied several times over.

Ludo had no doubt that they would all go to great lengths to try and be the eventual winning bidder of Blue 1.0, as whoever owned this technology would be the leading figure in the market for the next five years at the very least — which would see their sales figures increase exponentially over that period of time while all of their competitors' would plummet.

Each email from all of these executives were essentially all asking for the same thing — a meeting, a discussion, some even directly offering to buy his company outright, while others even offered a few implicit threats hidden in their replies!

Ludo made sure to keep a mental note to not sell it to any of the companies that had hidden any threats in their attempts to contact him — unless they offered a higher price than everyone else of course…
