*Togata's POV*
''Why did we agree to do this show again young master? It seems like a waste of our time frankly''. Tick says starkly as he materializes.
''Stay hidden Tick, By the way it's cause the Japanese Government is breathing down my neck, They're suspicious of why I'd come back after all these years, especially being in the US for so long. We need to look like a friendly celebrity tourist so we don't arouse suspicion especially for what we're going to be doing here''. Togata replies.
''Hmmph I hate staying hidden I feel trapped!''. Tick complains. ''Calm down Tick not for much longer, just shrink down if it annoys you so much, people barely have any spiritual energy anyway, they won't be able to see you''. Togata laughs.
Tick listens and shrinks down to a miniature version of himself and rests on Togata's shoulder. ''It seems the spirit medium has arrived, 9 O'clock young master''. Tick says.
Togata opens his eyes to see the medium to the left of him as he leaves to go greet her. ''Remember, do not arose suspicion, smile and be the gentleman that you are''. Tick reminds
''Easier said than done Tick. If she's the real deal we might have to fight right here''. Togata replies as he continues to walk over. He stretches out a hand. ''Nice to meet you ma'am, I believe you're the spirit medium?''. Togata asks with a false smile as he is still nervous.
The medium stretches her hand and reciprocates the gesture. ''Ya, and you're the perfect kid''. She replies.
''So far so good young master now let's get this over with''. Tick says worried. ''I heard you're going to 'expose' me, hope you're ready because I honestly don't have anything to hide''. Togata says with a smile.
''You're not fooling me kid, I can see that fake smile from a mile away''. Seiko tells herself. ''Ehh, I'm just gonna say what I see, no need to sweat kid, I don't have it out for ya or anything''. Seiko replies Togata
''Well then they must be waiting for us shall we?''. Togata asks as he starts to walk off. ''I knew I wouldn't like that kid!''. Turbo Granny Whispers. ''Calm down, let's just see what kind of person he is first''. Seiko replies as she walks after Togata into the studio.
They both take their seats opposite each other a table with a crystal ball on the table. ''Alright are you guys ready? Let's go, 3.2.1. Action!''. A producer says.
Granny Seiko focuses. ''Hmmm.....Hmmmmmm''. She says as she rubs the crystal ball. She sits there doing this for minutes.
''What's wrong with her, I thought you said she was a real medium!''. The Producer asks one of his subordinates. ''Damn it, I'm not getting anything from this kid, I'm gonna have to resort to cheap tricks!". Granny Seiko tells herself.
''You're 16 years old!''. Granny Seiko says. ''Uhh, yes''. Togata says smiling awkwardly. ''Of course he's 16! everyone knows that!''. The Producer shouts in an angry whisper.
''Should.. I... Help her out? I don't want to embarrass her''. Togata asks. ''Maybe it seems she is struggling young master''. Tick replies. ''What about my Favorite color, food or hobbies?''. Togata asks innocently.
''Yes.. Yes.. You're favorite food is Onigiri!''. Ms Seiko says trying to sound mystic. ''No..''. Togata replies. ''Your favorite color is... white!''. Granny Seiko says as she sneaks a look at his hair. ''Uhh, no blue''. Togata replies. ''Dammit I thought it was blue''. Granny Seiko says. ''Uhhh... Your favorite hobby is reading!''. Granny Seiko says. ''Hmm, I'm not sure but.. I guess so yeah''. Togata replies with a smile.
''Dammit she's gonna kill our ratings! that's obvious!''. The Producer whisper in rage.
''You have a secret girlfriend!''. Granny Seiko says. ''No..''. Togata replies. ''She seems to be shotgunning young master''. Tick says. ''Yeah seems so''. Togata replies.
''You're secretly a kappa!''. She says ''What?? haha''. Togata laughs. The whole production team laughs as well.
''Your glasses are a family heirloom?''. Seiko says. ''...Yeah.. Yeah actually they kinda are, I never thought of it like that''. Togata says with a smile. ''Now, we're getting somewhere''. The producer says.
''You are..''. Seiko says as she is cut off by Togata. ''This is, kind of boring''. Togata says as he rests his head on the table. ''Don't have to tell me twice''. Seiko replies.
''Want to play Sudoku? I've learnt but never got to test my skills''. Togata asks.
Seiko relaxes as she rests. ''Uhg finally although you should choose something I'm less experienced in, unless you want to lose''. Seiko replies.
''C'mon try me?''. Togata says with a smirk. ''I like the confidence kid, too bad I'm gonna crush it''. Seiko replies with a smile.
''Well then do you guys have any papers?''. Togata says as he looks at production. The whole production is shocked as Togata and Seiko just hijacked their show.
''Go get some quickly!!''. The producer says. They rush in with dozens of papers he staples them together so big that they fill the entire floor. Togata puts them together and draws the squares unto them.
''So how we gonna shuffle it?''. Seiko asks. ''Since you're a veteran I thought we'd do something a bit harder, ever heard of 4th dimensional sudoku? I found an algorithm that choose the random numbers in the boxes all we need to do is fill them up if we can as fast as we can, fill one get a point. simple right?''. Togata says with a smirk.
''You're on kid''. Seiko replies as she picks up a pencil.
''You must not lose young master!''. Tick says. ''We're gonna crush that brat!''. Turbo granny whispers to Seiko. ''Make sure to keep up with the scores this is prime television!". The producer tells his assistant.
''Countdown please''. Togata says. ''3.2.1 GO!''. The producer shouts. Togata and Seiko move quickly filling the squares with incredible accuracy. Even Tick and Turbo Granny get in on the action telling Togata and Seiko which squares to go to, the match gets heated both earning a point what seems like every second.
''...Incredible''. One of the camera men says star struck. Suddenly Togata and Seiko reach the same square, the only one left.
''I guess that's it''. Togata says smiling. ''Yeahhh, nothing left''. Seiko replies. ''What are the scores''. Seiko asks.
''40 to 40 it's a tie''. The assistant producer says. ''Aww man, really thought I could beat a kid''. Seiko says disappointed. ''You beat me? I'm disappointed I tied with a spirit medium, they say mathematical talent helps with sudoku, guess it's not true''. Togata says smiling.
Togata phone starts ringing. ''Oh well that's all the time you have me unfortunately, I have some other business to attend to. Thanks for having me''. Togata says with a smile. ''Of course Mr Toriyama thank you for attending, you as well Santa Dodoria. Ms Seiko nods. ''Old and young generations uniting to play a local game of Sudoku?! Our ratings are going to go through the roof!''. The producer whisper excitedly.
Togata walks out of the studio heading out. ''Hey kid!''. Seiko calls out. Togata is stopped in his tracks. ''Thanks for changing the subject back there, saved me a ton of embarrassment''. Seiko says.
''Kinda makes me feel bad cause I wanted to expose you for some quick cash''. Seiko continues. ''No need to thank me, besides I was here for my own selfish reasons as well. No reason we can't both walk away winners?''. Togata says with a smile.
Seiko smiles as well. ''Hey one more thing kid. You have something following you''. Seiko says getting serious all of a sudden as she points to Togata's shoulder where Tick is resting still in small form. He hides suddenly. ''Yeah.. I know''. Togata replies looking over his shoulder with a smirk.
''You too''. Togata says pointing to Seiko's shoulder where Turbo Granny is watching as she hides as well.
''So you are a real spirit medium''. Togata says. ''Damn right''. Seiko says as she lights a cigarette. ''Ever need any help with that you can contact me''. Seiko says as she throws Togata a card. ''The name's Seiko Ayase Spirit medium extraordinaire''. Seiko says with pride.
''I don't doubt it. But no, I think I'm good don't worry about me, although, don't expect me not to call, I might need someone like you for what I want to do here''. Togata says with a smirk. ''Well, take care kid''. Seiko says as she puffs her cigarette. ''Same, take care Miss Ayase''. Togata says with a smile.
''And by the way, smoking is bad for you''. Togata says walking off with a wave as a mysterious wind puts out her cigarette.
''Huh kid is really something, what's with kid's these days and toying with evil spirits, my grandkid and her friends ain't any different''. Seiko says re-lighting the cigarette anyway.
''What happened anyway Seiko why couldn't ya read the kid?''. Turbo Granny asks. ''Usually I use the territorial protective spirits to read people's aura's and that tells me all I need to know about them. A person's spiritual aura is their personality, their true self and most importantly all they wish to hide, but he had one heck of a nasty spirit hiding his aura''. Seiko says.
''But.. the kid's alright''. Seiko says.
''Hmm, guess so but I still don't like his face. And it's too bad we couldn't expose him, I'm a bit interested to see what he has to hide for realsies''. Turbo Granny says.
''Yeah... but I have a feeling we'll cross paths eventually''. Seiko says. ''Huhhh, well lets go home I need some grub''. Turbo Granny says.
