Togata and Riku walk into the class to meet 5 other girls.
The crowd were talking but as they walked in everything went quiet.
Suddenly one of the girls perks up as she smiles and rushes towards them. ''Toriyama...I didn't know the rumors were true...So you are the class rep for class 2-A''.
Togata smiles as he turns to Riku and puts him in between him and the girl. ''No that would be Riku here, I'm just his assistant''.
''He...hieie...Hi....''. Riku stammers nervously.
''Oh...''. All the girls reply almost disappointed.
''Excuse us for a second Toriyama...''. The girl asks as she grabs Riku and makes him sit on a chair as she shines a light on his face.
''What is this....?''. Riku asks worried.
''Nothing just asking you a few questions to make sure you're right for the job''. The girl replies.
''You know wouldn't want you here for others reasons right?''. Another girl asks as she comes closer.
''Huh,..?''. Riku says feigning innocence.
''First let's introduce ourselves, I'm Kairi, class rep of 2-E''. The first girl says.
''Shiori, class rep of 2-D''. Another girl says.
''Mio, 2-B''. A third girl says.
''I'm Yua, her assistant''. A fourth girl adds.
''And...I'm Rin Sawaki, class rep of 2-C''. A shy girl says in the corner.
''Riku...Class rep of 2-A!''. Riku says excitedly as he looks over at Togata.
Togata gives him a thumbs up and sits down already putting earbuds in his ear and looking at his phone.
''So...Riku, why did you want to be class rep?''. Kairi asks.
Riku looks over at Togata for tips.
''Uh uh, eyes over here Riku...''. Shiori says as she points his head in their direction.
''I...I Uh...Wanted to improve our class since no one stepped up...?''. Riku replies.
''Hmm? Okay, next question, name everybody in your class''. Kairi says.
''Uhhh?!''. Riku panics as he looks over at Togata.
''Uh uh Riku, she said eyes over here''. Mio says as she turns his chair.
''No need to be nervous if you have good intentions''. Yua comments.
''It's not like you all know those stuff!''. Riku replies.
''Oh yes we do, now speak up''. Kairi says.
''UHHH...''. Riku panics.
''Oh he is doomed young master''. Tick comments.
''Yep''. Togata replies with a smile still not looking up.
The girls form a circle around Riku closing him in as Rin backs away.
Togata notices her standing near him. ''You're not taking part in the interrogation?''.
''The others seem to have it covered....I'm actually more interested in you...''. Rin replies.
''Me? Oh...I'm flattered...''. Togata jokes.
Rin immediately gets nervous. ''No...Not like that I mean...I know Riku only became class rep because of your reputation...So...I don't think we need to interrogate him...All we need to ask is...Whether you think he's a good fit or not''.
''Well what do you think?''. Togata replies now looking at her.
''Well...I...I don't think he's actually serious about this...But if you can give me a word of assurance I could trust him a bit more''. Rin says.
Togata takes a breath as he looks over at Riku who's now arguing with the girls about whether someone actually needs to know all this information to be class rep.
''Well. Riku is...Ambitious, hard working and overall he's a nice guy...He can be unserious and joke a lot but it adds to his charm...He isn't the most logical, cold hard evidence type of guy but...When it comes to working with people, he's incredible...He gets along with everyone, and even though they don't see it, he lets himself be the butt of the joke just so they can have a laugh. He really cares about everyone in the class deeply''. Togata says.
''I see''. Rin replies as she stares at Riku as well. "So basically what you're saying is he's good with people, but what about actual work? I hope he won't slack off on his duties".
''Yeah...But he has me after all...If he ever needs help I can provide my assistance". Togata says with a smile.
Rin doesn't look totally convinced as she still stares at Riku.
Togata notices as he looks over at her. "I see you're not totally convinced...''.
Rin looks over at Togata as she tries to be nice. ''No it's just...''.
Togata takes out one of his earbuds getting serious. ''I understand your doubts, but like I said, Riku is incredible with his classmates, something I could never do, actually I envy him for it...But when it comes down to cold hard work I'll be able to carry his shortcomings...Isn't that what being an assistant is about?''.
''Yeah it is''. Rin says.
''So have I convinced you?''. Togata asks.
Rin nods yes.
''...But if you ever think he's slacking off in anyway, you can come talk to me and I'll set him straight''. Togata says.
''Yeah, I will, I trust you''. Rin replies with a smile.
''I appreciate it''. Togata replies with a smile.
''Your incredible negotiation skills are awe-inspiring young master!''. Tick praises.
Togata just smiles as he puts back his earbuds but suddenly he sees something wizz past his head.
He looks over at Rin as she gets nervous and tries to hide something.
''...What...Was that?''. Togata asks.
''Nothing!...''. Rin replies as she bounces around accidently bumping into him causing him to drop his phone.
''I'm so sorry!''. Rin replies as she picks it up and accidently reads what he's listening to. ''...You...Listen to Dinner with a Vampire?''.
''Oh my!''. Tick exclaims.
''I...Uh...Yeah. A bit I just got into it...''. Togata replies.
''Really!? What do you think!?''. Rin asks getting excited.
''It's good, I don't really read romances, I'm actually more interested in the, well.....What can I say, the Vampire lore I guess, I'm a big nerd when it comes to the occult...''. Togata replies.
''Nice save young master!''. Tick praises.
''Oh yeah I totally get that! But it's so immersive right! Actually the writer said that she read a ton of old books on Vampires to get some head knowledge on it!''. Rin explains excitedly.
''Yeah I noticed, it isn't your average vampire romance she put a lot of work into it''. Togata says as he puts a hand out. ''Could I by any chance have my phone back please?''.
''Oh sorry, I guess I got a little bit too excited...But if you want more I could recommend some books!''. Rin says.
''Sure I'll go straight to you''. Togata replies with a smile.
''Alright that's enough girls...He seems legit''. Kairi says.
Riku sighs a sigh of relief.
''You made it...Barely but you passed the test. Welcome, good luck being a class rep Riku...We meet here once every week, sometimes when we can't make it we meet up at each other's houses, hope that isn't a problem?''. Mio asks.
''OF COURSE NOT!''. Riku replies almost too enthusiastically. ''Eh ehm...Of course not''.
''Uh huh. Great, Toriyama. Congrats as well....But you have a lot of work to do with this one''. Shiori says.
''Hey!''. Riku replies hurt by the statement.
''Oh and Toriyama...Hope you don't mind meeting up at our houses either....''. Kairi asks shyly.
''Of course not, it's no problem really''. Togata replies.
''Great!....I mean...that's good, well we all have to go study right, class rep's disband!''. Kairi says happily.
''We seriously need a name for this''. Riku says.
''Agreed''. Some of the girls reply.
''Everyone wait!...''. Rin calls out.
''What's the matter Rin?''. Kairi asks.
Rin walk towards Riku as she stares at him face to face.
''I don't completely trust you...But Toriyama vouched for you so I'll give you a chance...Just know, if you fall behind in any way, I will report you and tell Toriyama to take your place understood?''. Rin says sternly.
''Yes miss!''. Riku says putting a hand up intimidated.
''Oh that's good''. Rin replies.
''Is that it? Classic Rin, always so uptight when it comes to these things''. Kairi jokes.
Rin tries to defend herself as she turns towards her. ''I'm just making sure he won't abuse his power, this is a big responsi...''.
''I'm tired! Interrogating is hard work! C'mon lets go already''. Mio sulks.
Togata and Riku walk out of the room as they leave Riku sighs a sigh of relief.
''AHHH, So close but we made it! Hehe sweet, sweet sleepover time...''. Riku jokes.
''I'm happy but...Riku, promise me you'll take this seriously''. Togata asks.
''I won't let you down bro I promise!''. Riku declares dramatically.
''I trust you...Anyway I have to head to the science club, see you later, good luck class rep''. Togata says.
''Oh it sounds so natural doesn't it?''. Riku says with a smile.
''Uh huh''. Togata replies with a sarcastic smile as he walks off.
