Hiro is a clever but somewhat reluctant high school student who often finds himself caught between ambition and exasperation. He has a sharp mind, enjoys tinkering with gadgets, and is naturally curious, which made the Engineering & Design Club an ideal fit. Above all, Hiro dreams of becoming the symbol of hope and justice, inspired by the Kamen Rider shows and manga he avidly watches, reads, and collects. He wants to embody courage, protect others, and make a difference, though he often struggles with self-confidence and the chaos around him. Despite his sarcasm and tendency to overthink, he genuinely cares about the people around him, especially his younger brother Josuke, and possesses a quiet resilience that drives him to rise to challenges, even when he does so reluctantly.
Katsuhisa Josuke – Younger Brother
Age: 12 (turning 13 soon)
Josuke is energetic, playful, and a natural at any game he picks up, which constantly irritates Hiro. Despite his teasing and mischievous nature, Josuke has a warm heart and genuinely loves spending time with his older brother. He's highly competitive and enjoys pushing limits, whether in video games, sports, or friendly pranks. His infectious enthusiasm often lightens tense situations, and his cleverness and strategic mind occasionally surprise even Hiro.
Katsuhisa Mikasa – Mother
Age: 46
Mikasa embodies warmth and calm. She always wears a reassuring smile and exudes a gentle presence, making her a source of comfort for both Hiro and Josuke. Her kindness, however, should never be underestimated. When pushed or angered, she can be truly terrifying, commanding respect and immediate attention. She's deeply supportive of Hiro's ambitions, including his dream to become a symbol of hope and justice, offering guidance without imposing pressure. She works hard to keep the family close-knit, nurturing both independence and responsibility in her children.
Katsuhisa Yujiro – Father
Age: 48
Yujiro is the calm, collected pillar of the Katsuhisa family. Even in tense situations, he maintains composure, which can intimidate Hiro at times. He is a man of quiet strength, pushing Hiro to pursue his dreams while reinforcing the idea that both he and Mikasa will always have his back. Aoyama Mei – President of the Engineering & Design Club
Age: 16
Mei is a whirlwind of energy and chaotic charm, with a boundless passion for both invention and fun. As president of the club, she is both inspiring and overwhelming, often oblivious to personal space boundaries and social norms in her excitement. Her golden eyes sparkle with enthusiasm for every project, and she takes joy in seeing others succeed and enjoy themselves. While her methods can be reckless, her heart is always in the right place, and her confidence and charm often keep the club motivated, even during disastrous experiments.
Kaneshiro Fubuki – Vice-president of the Engineering & Design Club
Age: 17
Fubuki is the calm, composed counterpart to Mei's chaos, serving as both the club's voice of reason and protector. She has a sharp eye for detail, ensuring that projects don't spiral completely out of control, and she often exudes a quiet authority that keeps everyone in check. Despite her sometimes exasperated demeanor, Fubuki cares deeply for the club members and is protective in her own understated way. Tanaka Haruto & Hayato – Twins and Club Members
Age: 16
Haruto: Haruto is mischievous, playful, and enjoys stirring up lighthearted chaos in the club. He's the type who will laugh at his own pranks and push the limits of the club's experiments for fun, yet he has a genuine curiosity for how things work. Haruto often provides comic relief, making tense situations feel lighter, and enjoys teasing both Hiro and his twin, Hayato, while also being a reliable assistant in testing prototypes and building projects.
Hayato: Hayato is the more laid-back and sarcastic twin, leaning toward laziness but always observant. He enjoys humor and often comments wryly on the chaos around him, particularly Mei's antics or his brother's mischief. Despite his lazy appearance, Hayato is intelligent and highly capable when needed, often contributing insightful ideas or clever fixes during club projects. His humor and perspective balance out Haruto's high-energy personality.
Both twins provide comic relief while ensuring projects are thoroughly tested, often surviving Mei's reckless inventions with minimal injury (and a lot of laughter).
