Chapter 4 - Chapter 3 : Rules and regulations

Gray blinked a few times in shock, he tilted his head a bit, making sure he didn't hear her wrong.

"Feylora kingdom??...Feylora Palace????. ",he asked May, seeming completely confused.

May blinks slowly, it makes her look she's trying to stay awake, which in some way she is.

"Yes.... Feylora kingdom and Palace, yeah welcome ughhhhhh??." She said, trying to remember his name.

'Whst was it again, Grayson, no too simple, grunt...no just .... no....' She thought to himself.

Her face and mind hard at work. Then it clicks.

"Ah I remember, your name is Grape right?" She asks with the at most confidence.

Gray is shocked, completely and utterly shocked, but it fades immediately.

"No it's Gray, Gray Galaxy." He introduces him to May.

May looks defeated but she reverts back to her usual self, what ever that could be.

"Sorry, I'm not good with names my patient." She says, lifting one hand as a sign of apologizing .

Gray looks at her, his confused, "Patient." What could that mean.

"Hey what do you mean by patient?." He asks her, wanting to know just a bit more.

May lazily walks towards him, she locks her fingers in Gray's.

Gray's heart is beating fast, he nervous, the last time he meet a woman was before her died.

May leans forwards, she looks him in the eye, her gaze focused and honed.

"i mean you're a patient under the Feylora Constitutionl."

"Any one who finds themselves in Feyloran Care, is hereby the rightful property of the royal family." She explains .

Gray stands her, a bit shocked but also calm, "So this is what the system meant..." He whispers to himself.

May is a bit shocked, she raises an eyebrow ever so slightly before reverting back to her original expression.

"Okay, so if this is a palace, then why am ...I mean.....what is this place?" He asks or at least try without sounding rude or ungrateful.

May gives a deep, heavy sigh that comes from her very soul, she rolls her eyes so hard only the whites remain.

She grunts her teeth hard , her face going from cool-nonchalance to pure anger.

"Because one, this is the best and most luxurious accomodations we servants are given."

"Two, because I like my peace and quiet!!!!!."

"And Three!!!, it gives me a reason not to work, because I can just keep getting sick." She says, she's gon from angry to nonchalant in a few seconds.

"Any way, I have to get you ready before you meet my boss." She says, biting her nail so clumsily.

"Your Boss?" Gray asks, he then hears footsteps approach, each louder than the last.

Outside there is confusion, as people are screaming and running.

"Speak of the devil." She says, dusting her uniform ever so slightly.

The movements before louder and louder until they can hear them outside the door.

"Get ready, your about to meet someone special today." As may says this, the door fall down with so much force it shatters on the old wood floor.

"Well, still as disgusting as I remember." The man says, his presence strong and authoritative.

'i told this idiot to stop kicking down my door' May thinks to herself, she starts calculating how much a new one would cost.

'damn I'm gonna go hungy just to fix a stupid door I didnt break, great.' she thinks, sounding sarcastic in her head.

Gray trembles slightly st the man's presence, his knees shaking as his legs struggle to keep him upright.

His only felt such fear once, when this new of his had just started.

May places her hand on his chest, feeling his rapid heartbeat.

"Don't worry Gray, this is the Royal Mage of the King of Feylora, the right hand man himself. Sir Daniel Windhoek.. and my dumb ass boss." She says.

Daniel stood firm and straight infront of them, his presence a mirror to his power and authority.

His silver robe dripping down, barely touching the the floor, his mustache trimmed to perfection.

His hair styled in elegance and charm, his eyes sharp and judging, he steps forward, boots sinking into the floor board.

"Now then, let's not start trivio Introductions, I know who you are, but what I want to know is why are you here?"

"How did you get here and what is your purpose in our precious kingdom?", he asks, more like command than a question .

Gray looks at May, his expression confused.

May looks at him, not really helping him out in anyway.

"Well I don't know how, or why I'm here, but I really can't answer any of your questions at the moment." Gray answers.

Daniels face twists and contorts into a face of annoyance, he takes a deep breathe, adjusting his glasses ever so slightly.

"Alright, let's skip the questions for now, anyway, let's get you acquitted with your new role here."

"You are now the property of the Feyloran Royal Family, all your activities regarding royal business will be monitored and reported to me at all times."

"Any and all questions you might have, I'll answer them indur time, now let's proceed to the Inner palace." He says.

Gray and May follow Daniel closely behind. The morning light shines bright , it blinds Gray immediately, his eyes not used to the brightness.

Gray blinks slowly, his vision adjusting, "damn it, it's bright out here." He says.

Daniel stops momentarily before continuing on, it seems he wanted to say something but has withdrawn.

Outside is a mixture of awe, everything seems completely out of this world, the trees seem to vibrate, the sky glows a faint blue hue .

Everything seems out of a fantasy world, well he is in one so that makes sense.

Gray notices that their many maids running around, all in torn and damaged uniforms, they look overworked and depressed, many failing to stand up straight.

But before he could even register a question, May pats his head, her gaze downcast.

"Keep moving, don't mind them." She says, her tone colder than usual.

As Daniel, Gray and May walk towards a huge treasure covered door, many of the maids bow down before them, mainly Daniel.

Every maids eyes are downcast, some trying to stay up and not pass out, some are crying, most are silent.

The three stand before the door, Daniel places his hands on the door. "Alright, from here on, no one talks to anyone, you understand." He says.

May agrees for the both of them, Gray just follows suit, not wanting to get to involved.
