Cultural background:
His mother being a Zunichi Korean is familiar with identity crises more than anything. To escape this, she fights to follow her older brother who goes to study in the UK for his masters. She works as a pub cleaner and in the depth of her struggles, she met Adebayo, a Yoruba-Gwari Nigerian man also studying there. They get into a deep blossoming relationship and she soon becomes pregnant. Her family get furious and everything seems to fall apart until Adebayo comes back to marry her and take her back to his home. The couple have three kids: Khalid Ayomide born in Nigeria, Mikhail Ademide born in Chicago USA and then a year later they moved to UAE where they had their daughter Soraya Damilola.
Backstory: Mikhail was commonly referred to as Mik. His parents gave him and his siblings Arabic names since they were growing up in the Emirates. Growing up, he'd often visit Nigeria, including Yoruba festivals and Abuja, making him very attached to both his Yoruba and Gwari roots. He was also partly raised by his Yoruba Grand-Aunt whom taught him a lot about his culture. He also loved to encourage his mother about her Korean and Japanese roots, learning a lot from her
Like the way his Arabic name, Mikhail, is associated with the Islamic archangel with the most beautiful voice, Mikhail is gifted with a soulful voice like no other. He has that boy next door vibe making him the anchor of the other group members. He's gifted in playing all instruments.

Mik auditioned for BigHit entertainment. They weren't meant to take him. Black, Arab... He wasn't their spec. But he's self crafted vocal with dance and rap routine didn't feel like an audition, it was like watching a pro idol perform. They weren't meant to take him, but they still did.
As a trainee he dominated, much to the quiet displeasure of some execs and fellow trainees. He trained alongside current members of TxT alongside some members of ENHYPEN and &TEAM. He even got recognised by BTS J-hope for his genius dance routine production and got introduced to the other members of BTS. He even produced some killer tracks for them and was taken in as a little brother.
In everything, Mik couldn't help but observe a lot of things wrong behind the scenes of the idol industry. The trainee system was torture, letting go brilliant talents, nearly killing minors and filled with dirty politics. He even learnt how dirty the industry and the idols were and how much had to be hidden from fans.
After a year and a half of training, His villain arc started with a scream one day, when a trainee screamed pointing at his arm. There sat a patch of his skin way lighter than his dark black skin. Vitiligo. Before long it spread everywhere, making light brownish fair skin patches cover his body. He hoped it wouldn't change anything. He was the best they had. He not only performed, he produced, he wrote, he choreographed, surely they'll make a visual exception. But they didn't. It's like they had been waiting for a reason to boot him off. What made it even more hurting was the fact that his vitiligo was recessive, but the conditions of trainee life is what made them manifest. He hated that there was visual over talent. Why didn't they want representation? It wasn't even his fault. Why doesn't the industry open doors to real humans, not grooming polished puppets? Even his "big brothers", BTS turned their backs. Some trainees snickered. And that's when he made his decision. He turned in a resignation before they could issue an eviction notice to him gathered his things and left silently. His name goes unheard within the walls of HYBE, like a forbidden secret. They convince themselves that he was just another trainee gone, but his spirit haunts them.
Meanwhile Mik didn't leave South Korea. He went underground to produce, write and direct for smaller companies like DooRooDooRoo, Aemoba culture, AOMG, Happy face and so on. He dedicated himself to one goal, to bring down the industry and build his own. He studied it, gathered secrets, made allies and didn't fully give up education as he attended online college and got a degree in human resources.
Six years later, he's ready to launch his plan. He formed his stage name "Miru" from a combination of his Arabic and Korean-Japanese names.
