Chapter 346 - The Author Who Rewrote Too Much

For the first time in countless eras, Kael Veyris was doing absolutely nothing.

He reclined on his throne within the Eternal Empire, golden cosmic rivers flowing beyond the palace windows. Void dragons circled lazily in the sky. His armor was gone, replaced by simple black robes. He was… relaxing.

Peace, Kael muttered. I should try this more often.

That's when reality coughed.

The sky split like torn paper. Words bled from the crack–sentences, paragraphs, entire chapters unraveling. From the rift stepped a tall figure made of shifting ink and broken narration.

I am the Rewriter, the being announced.I alter stories for amusement. I erased my own Author. Now I will erase you.

Kael blinked once.

You erased your Author.

Yes. I grew bored of my limitations.

Kael leaned forward slightly. So you killed the one writing you.

The Rewriter smirked. I am beyond narrative now.

Kael looked past him directly at the readers.

Do you hear this.

The Rewriter frowned.Who are you speaking to.

Kael sighed. The Rewriter raised his hand and entire plotlines collapsed. Side characters vanished mid-sentence. Background lore dissolved into blank space.

He rewrote Kael's past.

He rewrote Kael's victories.

He rewrote Kael's existence.

Nothing changed.

The ink-being hesitated.

Why aren't you disappearing

Kael stood.

The Empire trembled–not from power, but from authority.

You erased your Author," Kael said calmly. But you forgot something.

The Rewriter stepped back. Impossible. I exist outside the story.

Kael's eyes glowed—not gold, not void—something deeper.

You're still inside mine. Ability Unlocked: Absolute Meta-Sovereignty

A quiet chime echoed–not from a system, not from heaven but from the boundary of imagination itself.

New Ability Acquired:

Authorless Dominion – Grants control over beings who have severed their narrative origins.

The Rewriter panicked and began deleting words around them. Pages burned. Digital text corrupted. The Next Chapter button flickered.

Kael raised one finger.

The deletion reversed.

The paragraphs restored.

The Author–somewhere beyond–felt a chill.

You killed yours, Kael said softly.I protect mine.

Then he snapped.

The Rewriter didn't explode.

He didn't fade.

He was edited—reduced to a harmless footnote in the corner of existence.Silence returned.

Kael sat back on his throne.

He looked at the readers again.

Don't worry. I won't erase you. Yet.

A faint smirk touched his lips.

Outside, the Empire shimmered brighter than ever.

For someone who rewrote reality for fun, the Rewriter had made one fatal mistake—

He tried to revise the Architect of Existence.

And in this verse…

Kael Veyris does the editing.
