Chapter 898 - The Book of Origins

The Infinite Library stretched endlessly.

Shelf after shelf.

Book after book.

Story after story.

Infinite narratives.

Infinite frameworks.

Infinite systems.

Infinite realities.

Infinite possibilities.

All existing within the Library of Kael Veyris.

Kael walked calmly between the shelves.

One hand in his pocket.

The other holding a cup of tea.

As usual.

To most beings.

The Library would be impossible to comprehend.

Every book contained entire structures of existence.

Entire histories.

Entire cosmologies.

Entire realities.

To Kael.

They were simply books.

As he walked.

One book caught his attention.

"Hm."

Kael stopped.

Pulled the book from its shelf.

Opened it.

Within its pages was the complete existence of a powerful being.

Its history.

Its story.

Its future.

Its origin.

Its possibilities.

Everything.

The being itself had no idea.

It continued existing within its own reality.

Completely unaware.

Kael turned a page.

The Past.

Entire ages unfolded before him.

The being's childhood.

Its growth.

Its victories.

Its failures.

Every moment.

Kael read quietly.

Then he picked up a pen.

And rewrote a sentence.

Immediately.

The being's past changed.

Entire memories shifted.

Entire timelines adjusted.

Entire histories rewrote themselves.

The being suddenly remembered a completely different life.

Yet never realized anything had changed.

Kael turned another page.

The Present.

The being's current existence.

Its thoughts.

Its actions.

Its decisions.

Kael adjusted a paragraph.

Instantly.

The being's present changed.

Different choices.

Different outcomes.

Different circumstances.

The narrative accepted the edit.

Kael continued reading.

Then came the Future.

Countless possibilities appeared.

Infinite branches.

Infinite outcomes.

Infinite destinies.

Kael looked through them.

Then casually crossed out several futures.

Entire destinies vanished.

New futures appeared.

New possibilities formed.

The being's future shifted completely.

Still unaware.

Kael turned another page.

Origin.

The beginning.

The source.

The first cause.

The first moment.

The deepest layer.

The page glowed softly.

Kael smiled.

Then rewrote it.

The being's origin changed.

Its foundational existence changed.

The source from which it emerged became something entirely different.

The reality containing the being adjusted accordingly.

Not resisting.

Not fighting.

Simply accepting the change.

Because the narrative recognized Kael's authority.

The Origin of Everything was editing a story.

Finally.

Kael reached the last section.

Possibility.

Infinite versions.

Infinite outcomes.

Infinite what-ifs.

Entire oceans of potential stretched across the pages.

Kael looked through them.

Then rewrote a single line.

Every possibility reorganized itself.

The being's potential expanded.

Its future transformed.

Its path changed forever.

Kael closed the book.

Far away.

The being suddenly felt different.

Stronger.

Wiser.

More complete.

It had no idea why.

Kael simply returned the book to the shelf.

One among infinite books.

One among infinite narratives.

One among infinite frameworks.

One among infinite stories.

The Library remained endless.

Silent.

Peaceful.

Kael looked across the countless shelves.

Infinite dimensions.

Infinite realities.

Infinite cosmologies.

Infinite narratives.

Infinite frameworks.

Infinite systems.

Infinite possibilities.

All resting quietly.

To many beings.

They represented ultimate existence.

To Kael.

They were stories.

Stories he could read.

Stories he could change.

Stories he could rewrite.

Then.

Kael decided he had spent enough time in the Library.

He closed the nearest book.

The shelves continued stretching infinitely behind him.

And he walked away.

Through endless halls.

Past infinite stories.

Past countless realities.

Past entire cosmologies.

Until he finally arrived at the Imperial Palace.

The grand doors opened.

The Throne Room awaited.

His wives were already there.

Ignisia.

Genesisra.

Nyx.

Lilith.

Verdelia.

Zeraphiel.

And many others.

Wukong was somehow sleeping on top of the throne.

Again.

Kael looked at him.

"Wukong."

No response.

"Wukong."

Still sleeping.

Ignisia pointed upward.

"He's been there for three hours."

Kael nodded.

"Fair enough."

Then Kael sat upon his throne.

The Architect of Existence.

The Origin of Everything.

The keeper of the Infinite Library.

And for the first time that day.

He simply relaxed.

No battles.

No invaders.

No collapsing realities.

No beings claiming to transcend everything.

Just peace.

At least until someone inevitably disturbed it again.
