Chapter 904 - A Quiet Conversation Beyond Eternity

After surviving…

The Family Day Incident.

Kael Veyris had learned something important.

There existed forces in creation…

That even he could not overcome.

Marriage.

Today however…

Peace had returned.

Again.

The Imperial Palace stood silent beneath an endless twilight sky.

Stars shimmered beyond layers of reality.

The World Trees pulsed softly with ancient life.

The Empire rested.

Safe.

Alive.

Beautiful.

For once.

Kael had nowhere to be.

Nothing to fix.

No cosmic horror trying to consume existence.

No arrogant outer gods attempting to transcend transcendence.

No wars.

No collapsing dimensions.

Just silence.

And footsteps.

Small footsteps.

Running toward him.

Fast.

Very fast.

"FATHER!"

Kael turned.

A smile immediately appeared.

Running through the palace gardens…

Was his youngest daughter.

Veyloria Kaelthera.

Silver-black hair flowed behind her like strands of living starlight.

Her eyes burned with fragments of primordial creation.

Reality bent slightly around her every step.

Flowers bloomed where her feet touched the ground.

Behind her…

Walking calmly.

Far calmer.

Was her older brother.

Elyrion Veythera.

Tall already despite his age.

Dark crimson hair carrying traces of Ignisia's draconic fire.

Golden cosmic eyes identical to Kael's.

Space itself subtly distorted around him.

Every movement radiated silent power.

And walking beside him…

Arms folded.

Expression carrying mild annoyance.

Kaelignis Veyris.

The most dangerous child in the Empire.

And he knew it.

Half primordial dragon.

Half conceptual existence.

Entirely trouble.

Veyloria immediately jumped into Kael's arms.

"Father!"

Kael caught her effortlessly.

"Good morning."

She smiled brightly.

"Mother Ignisia said I can't create mini supernovas inside the palace anymore."

Kael blinked.

"…Again?"

Veyloria looked innocent.

"Yes."

Behind her.

Kaelignis spoke.

"She vaporized three libraries."

Veyloria looked offended.

"It was an accident."

Elyrion calmly added.

"She was trying to make stars."

"I WAS making stars."

Kael sighed.

"That explains the paperwork."

Veyloria tilted her head.

"What is paperwork?"

Kael stared into the distance.

"A terrible force older than creation itself."

She gasped.

"Stronger than Uncle Wukong?"

Kael nodded.

"Yes."

Kaelignis looked disturbed.

"That sounds horrifying."

"It is."

A familiar fiery aura approached behind them.

Ignisia.She walked forward.

Golden flames danced gently around her body.

Unlike battle.

These flames were warm.

Comfortable.

Protective.

She crossed her arms.

Looking directly at Kael.

"She learned it from you."

Kael raised an eyebrow.

"I did not teach her supernova construction."

Ignisia stared.

"You literally created suns before breakfast last week."

"…That was different."

"How?"

Kael paused.

"…I was hungry."

Ignisia rubbed her forehead.

"I married an idiot."

Kael smiled.

"Yes."

Suddenly.

Another presence emerged from a nearby shadow.

Elegant.

Dangerous.

Beautiful.

Lilith.

The Demon Queen herself. Her crimson eyes immediately found the children.

"Well."

She smiled.

"Who destroyed the west wing this time?"

Veyloria slowly pointed at Kaelignis.

Kaelignis pointed at Elyrion.

Elyrion pointed at Veyloria.

Lilith nodded.

"So all three."

"Correct."

Said Ignisia.

Kael set Veyloria down.

She immediately grabbed his hand.

"Father."

"Yes?"

She looked upward.

Eyes suddenly serious.

A rare thing.

"When you made everything…"

Kael remained quiet.

"…Yes?"

She hesitated.

"Were you lonely?"

Silence.

The wind stopped moving.

Even Ignisia and Lilith turned toward him.

Watching.

Waiting.

Kael stared toward the distant city.

Thousands of lives below.

An empire thriving peacefully.

Infinite stars above.

Countless realities beyond.

Endless narratives surrounding existence itself.

Then he looked down at his daughter.

"Yes."

Veyloria blinked.

"You were?"

Kael nodded slowly.

"I existed before everything."

"Before stars."

"Before dimensions."

"Before time."

"Before concepts."

"Before life."

"There was only me."

The garden became completely silent.

Kael continued softly.

"I could create anything."

"I could imagine anything."

"I could build infinite realities."

"But…"

He smiled gently.

Looking toward Ignisia.

Then Lilith.

Then his children.

"It meant very little."

Veyloria squeezed his hand.

"Why?"

Kael knelt beside her.

"Because existence becomes meaningless…"

"…when there is nobody to share it with."

Silence.

Lilith's expression softened.

Something rare.

Very rare.

Ignisia quietly looked away.

Trying not to show emotion.

Kael smiled warmly.

"I created stars."

"I created universes."

"I created endless realities."

"But do you know what my greatest creation was?"

Veyloria smiled.

"What?"

Kael gently touched her forehead.

"This."

She blinked.

"…Me?"

Kael nodded.

"You."

He pointed toward Elyrion.

"Him."

Toward Kaelignis.

"Him."

Then toward Ignisia and Lilith.

"And them."

Ignisia looked away.

Cheeks slightly red.

Lilith smirked.

"Careful."

"You almost sounded romantic."

Kael stood.

"I was being honest."

Lilith laughed softly.

"Well."

"That's somehow more dangerous."

Suddenly.

Veyloria smiled mischievously.

"Father."

"Yes?"

"Can I make another supernova?"

Kael immediately answered.

"No."

Ignisia nodded proudly.

"Good answer."

Veyloria looked disappointed.

"…A small one?"

"No."

"A tiny one?"

"No."

"A microscopic one?"

Kael sighed.

"…Ask Wukong."

Silence.

Ignisia slowly turned.

"Why Wukong?"

Kael smiled.

"Because consequences build character."

A distant scream echoed across reality.

"KAEL WHAT DID YOU TEACH YOUR CHILDREN NOW?!"

Wukong.

Kael smiled peacefully.

Perfect.

And for a brief moment…

The Origin of Everything simply stood there.

Not as an omnipotent god.

Not as the Architect of Existence.

Not as the creator of infinite realities.

But as something infinitely more important.

A husband.

A father.

A man who finally had something worth protecting.

And for Kael Veyris…

Nothing in all creation mattered more.
