Chapter 3 - Ember

\TUESDAY/

*Before the sun fully rose over the city, a sea of freshmen had already lined up, crammed like fans waiting for concert tickets.

*The Event Center quickly becomes packed, buzzing with idle chatter.

[Ember] \holds the class and major sign\ Attendance over here!

*They line up to write their names, but Ember keeps her eyes on the pen. It's hers, and she knows she might lose it.

*Unsurprisingly, several students didn't bring a pen.

*The program begins with an introduction to the university's founder, explaining the history behind the institution's name.

*A lecturer then goes over academic policies and campus conduct.

*They highlight the student privileges to make full use of: library access, labs, gym schedules, student discounts, and free workshops.

*Finally, a senior takes the stage to give a short presentation about life on campus.

*The tips cover surviving long study nights, managing assignments, and dealing with group projects.

*After that, the seniors introduce the clubs. Each has its own presentation.

*Sports. Band. Debate. Literature. Academia.

*Some perform or advocate. Around them, attention rises and falls across the room.

[Cyan] (Mandatory clubs? Zero grades? Nice. I'm out.)

[Ember] (Dance club!) (Audition! Tomorrow?!)

[Ember] Following a choreo, then freestyle? (I guess you can't really prepare for that.)

[Ember] (But I should warm up tonight, and dance what I know.)

*The orientation wraps up with its summary. Meanwhile, the students are already thinking about how to wrap up their late lunch for takeout.

*At 3pm.
