Kim was staring at her computer screen, trying to make sense of the quarterly report she'd been reviewing for the last hour, when she felt someone's presence at her door.
She looked up.
And forgot how to breathe.
Ethan was leaning against her doorframe, one shoulder pressed against the wood, his head tilted slightly to the side. His hands were in his trouser pockets, and his legs were crossed at the ankle in this casual, effortless way that should have been illegal.
He looked relaxed. Confident. And devastatingly attractive.
"Hey," he said, his voice warm.
"Hi," Kim managed, trying very hard not to stare.
"You busy?"
She glanced at her computer screen, then back at him. "Not really. Just finishing up some reports."
"Good." He pushed off the doorframe and stepped into her office, and Kim's brain short-circuited slightly.
