Cherreads

Chapter 10 - Rude and a liar.

While they were being carried by the waves to an unknown destination, Luffy's team went about their business and chatted occasionally. Except for Muichiro.

He picked up one of the books in town and decided to read it.

He was interested in learning about the history of several islands.

As he read, he silently nodded at some questions.

Thinking back, he didn't regret buying a 5-person sailboat. His sailboat was enough for the guys to clean up on it, including him. He lay on the hammock and looked at the pictures, and also tried to remember every important information.

He looked in the direction of the boys and saw only what he had been seeing for several days. Zoro was lying down and resting, Luffy was looking at the sea, and Nami was looking at the map. Sometimes they chatted about the Grand Line and its dangers, powerful pirates, and the Sea Watch. Luffy and Zoro weren't bothered by this, although Luffy wanted to add more people to his team to go to the Grand Line.Nami, on the other hand, wanted to prepare for everything in advance. Buy a new ship, stock up on food, and find a better compass. Muichiro's compass was different. It was small and easy to use, but it was useless at the moment because it started to fail due to a margin of error. He agreed with her for once. This ship really won't make it to the grandline because of the islands ' peculiarities. It was also very small. They could have captured one more person, but it wasn't enough to go on an adventure. And the compass, well, you already understand.

Muichiro had been bored all this time. All he could do was breathe, clean his weapons, or sleep. During the time he spent with them, he couldn't help but marvel at Luffy. He didn't seem to be, but rather a different person. He was constantly hungry, extremely energetic, and always a fun guy. As if it was impossible without it.

And Zoro was completely the opposite side of Luffy.

He was also impressed by Nami's wit and ability to navigate. She was a natural navigator.

Thanks to her, Muichiro also realized that when he went to sea, he was already considered a pirate. The exceptions to this rule were merchants and Marines.

Stupid rule....

Before he knew it, they were on Geko Island.

"Is this Geko Island?" asked Muichiro again.

"Yes, there is a small village nearby," Nami replied, looking at the map.

"Hahah, and the meat? Is there meat in there?" Luffy began.

"Stop pestering me with your meat already. Right now, let's go and find out, " Nami replied irritably.

"Hmmm...Nothing out of the ordinary, " Muichiro thought, and while Nami was looking at the map, he decided to sit in front of the road.

After a few minutes, Muichiro sensed 4 signatures approaching them.

Zoro opened his eyes and noticed that Muichiro was looking in one direction without taking his eyes off. It was as if he had seen someone. He stood behind him and wanted to ask a question about what was bothering him so much.

"Watch out Luffy! There's someone out there!" said Zoro. And suddenly someone started shooting rocks at them.

Muichiro casually dodged the bullets. As the shooting ended, they saw pirate flags begin to appear from above.

There was laughter and a man appeared, who began to introduce himself.

"Hahaha, I'm Usopp, the leader of the pirate gang that runs this village. People praise me and call me " Captain Usopp." If you're thinking of taking this village, forget it. There's no way my eighty-million-strong colleagues will allow this to happen!"

"THAT'S YEAHHH!" shouted Luffy.

A pathetic sight, Muichiro thought. He knew the truth, so he relaxed and just looked at the clouds. He wasn't bothered by a couple of rabbits, he wanted to say that there were only four of them, but Nami was faster. She quickly saw through the lies of Usopp and his little partners.

Luffy was upset by the lie.

Usopp didn't leave, but instead did something that even Muichiro didn't expect. He pointed the slingshot and threatened the guys.

Luffy became serious and said words that even Zoro and Muichiro didn't expect to hear from him.

"If we're talking about a gun, then prepare to die," Luffy said and looked at the frozen Usopp. But then he continued, "The gun is designed to kill, not scare."

Muichiro unsheathed his katana. He thought they would just teach the coward a lesson and go on their way, but the coward just gave up.

Luffy laughed and said that it was Shanks ' words. He must be very famous in this world if even Usopp knows him. They chatted around and found a place to eat. The conversation was about Luffy's past and Usopp's father.

While the boys chatted, Muichiro sat and drank his juice. He wasn't interested in listening to the two of them. So he wanted to take a walk to find the shipwright.

"Hey Usopp, are there any shipwrights in your village or where can you buy a ship?"

"Ehh... As you can see, we have a small village here. So I can't help you with that, " he said.

"And on the hill? There's a huge mansion there, surely they might have the right one for us."

Usopp was alarmed and said that he couldn't go there, then remembered that he had some business and ran away from the place.

"So what are we going to do?" Zoro asked.

"I suggest we go for a walk after the meal and stop by for a visit," Muichiro suggested.

"Look, this is a good idea," Zoro said, and started eating.

When they finished eating, the same small group that was with Usopp burst in. They were alarmed and only asked one question. Where their leader was. Zoro just said they ate it.

They were startled by a joke from Luffy and Zoro, and even fell unconscious after calling Nami a witch. Even Muichiro smiled.

They waited until they came to their senses and said that it was just a joke, they didn't know where he ran off to.

"There's only one place he could go," one of them said after escorting them to the mansion.

"Why would he be here?" asked Muichiro.

"To lie," the other began, explaining that a rich girl lived here and that he told her various false stories so that she would survive the tragedy and not be sad.

"So she's fine now?" asked Muichiro.

"Well, yes..."- he replied, " Why do you need it?".

"Ask for a favor," Muichiro said and looked at the boys. Luffy, as if waiting for a sign, began to climb the fence and stretch his arms.

"What are you doing?" asked Nami, starting to stop him somehow. Zoro and the kids also tried to stop him from doing something stupid, but they just blew up.

"Idiot..."Muichiro thought, and deftly jumped over the fence. He noticed many beautiful places and walked around them unnoticed. It was like being a ghost. But before he could enjoy this beauty, he heard cursing.

He only heard a snippet and appeared at the butler's side without saying anything.

"How rude... I'd like to cut out your tongue, but I don't want to frighten a beautiful lady..."

The butler turned around in shock and saw no one.

"Behind you, you idiot..." Muichiro prompted, standing beside the team.

Zoro was surprised by Muichiro's speed, since he hadn't seen Muichiro fight.

"I apologize to you, my lady, for what's going on here. Muichiro apologized to the girl in the window and walked towards the gate.

He turned and looked at the boys.

"Yo, come on, we have more important things to do," he said to them and left.
