Chapter 32 - Chapter 31 If you want to learn, I will teach you

"Rimuru, you're so cool! How did you do that? Was it amazing Chinese Kung Fu?"

All the way home, Peter Parker chattered nonstop, extremely excited.

Today was the happiest day he'd had since starting school.

Not only had he taught that scoundrel Thompson a big lesson, but he had also made a new friend.

Rimuru pretended to be profound. "You want to learn? I'll teach you."

Peter Parker felt as if he'd been struck by a lucky star, his head spinning. "Really? Can I?"

"Of course."

Rimuru nodded, his smile growing more mischievous.

"Master!"

Peter called out eagerly, even attempting a clumsy bow to formally acknowledge a master, which almost made Rimuru burst out laughing.

It seemed Little Peter was also a pseudo–Chinese Kung Fu fan!

Rimuru spoke seriously, "Peter, you know, to become stronger, you have to pay a price. Just like how, if you want good grades, you have to study hard—even if you desperately want to go out and play, you can only persevere. Can you do that?"

Peter nodded seriously. "Master, I want to be as strong as you. I don't want to be bullied anymore."

Rimuru nodded approvingly. "No need to call me 'Master.' We're friends, so that sounds too formal. As for becoming stronger, I have four paths here. Which one do you want to choose?"

Peter Parker froze. Four paths?

"Can you explain them in detail?"

"Of course. The first path is called Physical Body Becoming Sacred. This path is very, very difficult and very, very exhausting. But once completed, you'll also become very, very powerful."

"Physical Body Becoming Sacred"? What was that?

Peter didn't understand at all, but it sounded incredibly impressive.

"Explain it more?" he asked.

Rimuru said solemnly, "First, you need to do 100 push-ups. It seems simple, but doing 100 in one go fully tests a person's strength. It will greatly train your arms and overall power. The hardest part isn't reaching 100—it's persisting until 99. At that point, you'll be so tired you'll want to die."

Gulp.

Little Peter swallowed. This path truly sounded difficult.

But thinking about becoming as strong as Rimuru, Little Peter was full of motivation.

Just 100 push-ups, right? He could definitely do it.

"Second, do 100 sit-ups every day. This will train your abdominal muscles. Also, you must do 100 squats daily. In the later stages, your legs will feel so exhausted that you can't even stand properly—you'll reach your physical limit."

"Finally, you must run 10 kilometers every day. Only at that level of intensity can your body truly transform."

Kilometers?

Peter was dumbfounded. His math wasn't taught by a P.E. teacher—he was actually good at it.

With his scrawny body… could he really keep up?

Seeing Little Peter hesitate, Rimuru struck again. "Will you be satisfied staying like this forever? The hardest part of Physical Body Becoming Sacred is perseverance. One day, two days, ten days, a month, even a year—won't show much effect. You need to persist for three full years, whether in wind, rain, or hell itself. After three years, you'll find—"

Rimuru paused dramatically, looking at Peter's black hair.

Little Peter felt his mind go blank, but his desire for strength kept him going.

"Find what?"

Rimuru clasped his hands behind his back and said mysteriously, "You'll find that you're bald. And then you'll also become stronger."

PFFT!

Bald?

Peter quickly touched his hair, swallowed hard, and weakly asked, "Master… what about the second path?"

Rimuru chuckled. "The second path is called Getting Stronger Through Money. You know Iron Man, right? A walking advertisement for the power of wealth."

Little Peter looked embarrassed, his smile full of poverty. "Let's talk about the third path instead."

Rimuru: "The third path is called The Poor Rely on Mutation."

The poor rely on… mutation?

Peter considered this. It sounded promising.

"Explain that one?"

"Do you remember the green monster that caused havoc in New York two years ago?"

Peter's eyes lit up. "I know! I saw it online. My teacher said it was just an internet rumor and told us not to spread or believe in rumors. But we all knew it was real."

"Why?" Rimuru asked curiously.

Peter replied, "A lot of buildings were destroyed back then, and the police showed up, and the area was sealed off. Their explanation could only fool outsiders."

Rimuru nodded. "That green monster is called the Hulk. He mutated after being exposed to a huge dose of gamma radiation. Of course, you could also be bitten by a spider, bat, scorpion, or lizard, and then gain strange superpowers. But whether you mutate successfully or just get poisoned to death… is up to God."

Gulp.

Peter despaired. How was he supposed to play like that?

Becoming like the Hulk? Too ugly and too scary!

Besides, Peter had always had bad luck. If he really got bitten by a spider or something, he'd probably die.

"What about the fourth path?"

Peter asked weakly, not expecting much after the first three.

"The fourth path—"

Rimuru's smile became even more devilish.

"Cross-dressing. You'll become stronger if you cross-dress."

What?!

Peter's jaw dropped. Did he hear that correctly?

Getting stronger… by cross-dressing?

"Rimuru, that doesn't make scientific sense. Whether it's men's clothes or women's clothes, they're just outfits. Aunt May wears women's clothes, and she still needs Uncle Ben to protect her!"

???

This time, Rimuru was the one stunned. As expected of a genius—Peter's scientific literacy was not low!

He was only in elementary school, but he already thought so logically.

But the thought of a Spider-Girl made Rimuru full of anticipation.

He couldn't give up yet.

With a serious face, Rimuru said, "Whether women's clothing can make someone stronger depends on aptitude. And in this world, 99.9% of humans don't have that aptitude."

Peter's little face instantly turned red. Even if he hadn't reached full chuunibyou age, what kid hadn't fantasized about being special—an omnipotent hero or legendary figure?

Thompson even pretended to be Captain America with him!

"Rimuru… are you saying I have that aptitude?"

Rimuru didn't answer directly. Instead he asked, "Before I transferred to your class, who had the best grades?"

Peter lifted his head proudly. "Me."

"Who answered the teacher's questions the most?"

Peter swallowed, feeling something coming. "Also me."

"Who visited science exhibitions often and understood concepts even middle schoolers didn't know?"

Peter's heart pounded. "Still me."

Rimuru placed his hands on Peter's shoulders. "Peter, admit it. You have a genius mind. You're not the bookworm Peter others see, nor the 'insignificant Peter' in Thompson's words."

"G-genius?!"

Peter felt tears welling up.

Aside from his parents—whose memories were already fading—only Aunt May and Uncle Ben had praised him.

But Rimuru was the first to call him a genius.

He didn't yet understand the deep meaning of "A scholar dies for his confidant; a woman becomes beautiful for her admirer," but he felt that Rimuru was his very, very best friend.

Rimuru was amazing—he would never harm him.

Feeling the timing was perfect, Rimuru finally extended his devilish hand.

"Peter, you're a natural-born rich man. You're guarding a huge gold mine without knowing how to develop it. All you need is a key to open it. Do you know what that key is?"

A strange blush crept onto Peter's cheeks.

"C-cross-dressing?"

"Correct!" Rimuru said proudly. "Peter, I didn't misjudge you. Your comprehension is top-tier. You're truly a one-in-a-million prodigy."

Huh?

Peter's heart thumped hard. Could he really be a one-in-a-million prodigy?

Something new stirred in his chest.

Rimuru extended his hand to Peter invitingly.

"The cross-dressing youth will eventually become King. Peter—cross-dress."

By coincidence, a ray of sunlight fell on Rimuru at that moment.

In Peter's eyes, Rimuru was wrapped in holy light.

"So… so beautiful…"

Peter's mind went blank. Slowly, he reached out his small hand and clasped Rimuru's.
