HYBRID RULES:
- Dual Hybrid (2 templates): Base cost = Sum of templates + 50 CP fusion tax
- Tri Hybrid (3 templates): Base cost = Sum of templates + 150 CP fusion tax
- Drawbacks: More powerful combinations = more severe drawbacks
- Compatibility: Some templates synergize, lessening the drawback. Others conflict, increasing drawbacks.
Current CP Balance: 1000
"Hmm, so all those cool racial templates were hidden away? But what was even the point? Was it baiting me into picking a trash one?"
Now that the new race templates were available, David began scanning the brief trait info beside them, after he finished going through that and the hybrid rules.
An obvious conclusion was made.
Tri Hybrid was the trap option. Picking it would eat all his CP while also giving increased drawbacks.
Another thing was, now that the hybrid option was available, choosing a single racial template felt like wasting the chance to create something that could go beyond the limits of a single race.
A hybrid race template would unlock new possibilities.
A new phenomenon.
Something this world was lacking.
So it was basically a given that it would be a hybrid.
"To be honest, all the hidden templates are quite interesting. Void, dragonic, primordial. They are good options, and if synergy is taken into account, a very powerful racial template could be created but… I don't care about synergy. If you're given the opportunity to create anything, anything, why would you create something already in the realm of imagination? Why not something that will leave everyone in astonishment? They would call you crazy. But isn't that the highest level of praise a human can receive?"
The celestial template was basically angels, the total opposite of undead and demon. They were incompatible, even an atheist like him could tell that.
That's how crazy the idea was.
To merge them.
Why would anyone want increased drawbacks?
Yet, if David had his body, it wasn't hard to imagine what kind of expression he would have.
A crazy, madman-like laugh.
He was indeed crazy.
That's what you become after completing the hellish training of Mackblain.
If he took the divine template, which was celestial, and made a hybrid with a darkness template, either undead or demon…
While he didn't know for sure, David could roughly guess both were equally conflicting.
The undead template was even cost-efficient.
But…
From the fair share of fiction he had consumed, he knew what the undead lacked.
Reproduction.
The ability to reproduce.
Something that was of utmost importance for survival and expansion of any race.
And more importantly, he couldn't imagine himself being impotent.
"So it's decided, it has to be celestial and demonic. Though it's unfortunate that I'm losing more than half of the allocated CP in the first phase itself, but it's essential."

〈WARNING: EXTREME CONFLICT DETECTED〉
You have chosen to merge two fundamentally opposing cosmic forces. Light and Darkness. Order and Chaos. Creation and Destruction.
This combination is classified as: FORBIDDEN FUSION
〈HYBRID PROFILE GENERATED〉
Working Name: Unnamed Celestial-Demon Hybrid
Inherited Traits (Raw):
From Celestial:
- Holy affinity potential
- Wing manifestation capability
- Radiant energy channeling
- Divine presence aura
From Demon:
- Dark affinity potential
- Corruption resistance
- Raw physical/magical power
- Intimidation aura
〈Due to the opposing nature of your selected templates, the following drawbacks are NON-NEGOTIABLE:〉
Eternal Inner Conflict — Your race will possess two warring energies within their soul. Emotional instability is baseline. Mastering balance will be a lifelong struggle for each individual.
Dual Rejection — Holy beings will sense the demonic taint. Demonic beings will sense the celestial corruption. Your race will be outcasts to both factions by default.
Power Lockout — Cannot use full Celestial abilities and full Demonic abilities simultaneously. One must suppress the other. Attempting to use both at once risks internal damage or temporary loss of control.
Shortened Prime — The conflicting energies reduce peak lifespan efficiency. While total lifespan may be long, physical/mental prime years are reduced by 30%.
Do you accept these terms, Progenitor?
- [Confirm] — Proceed with Celestial-Demon Hybrid foundation
- [Revise] — Return to template selection
Current CP Balance: 1000
Cost if Confirmed: 550 CP
Remaining after Confirmation: 450 CP
"From the start I wanted to create my own faction, so dual rejection isn't really a problem, but besides that, the other drawbacks are really heavy. Their prime years are nerfed, power lockout puts massive restrictions on strength and ability usage, and because of eternal inner conflict they'll all be inherently insane. Tsk, that's some serious drawbacks. Should I revise?"
"Nah. Those drawbacks instead suggests even greater potential."

〈PHASE 1 COMPLETE: FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED〉
Race Foundation: Celestial-Demon Hybrid Classification: Forbidden Fusion: Drawbacks: Eternal Inner Conflict, Dual Rejection, Power Lockout, Shortened Prime.
〈PHASE 2: PHYSICAL CUSTOMIZATION〉
〈BASE FORM〉
Your hybrid automatically inherits a humanoid base structure due to both Celestial and Demon templates sharing bipedal divine origins.
You must now customize:
[2.1] HEIGHT CATEGORY
- Compact (4'0" - 5'2") — +10 CP refund | Agility bonus, reduced physical presence
- Standard (5'3" - 6'2") — No cost | Balanced proportions
- Tall (6'3" - 7'5") — 20 CP | Imposing stature, strength bonus
- Towering (7'6" - 9'0") — 50 CP | Immense presence, intimidation boost, reduced agility
[2.2] WING MANIFESTATION
Your race possesses wing potential from both bloodlines. Select manifestation type:
- Single Pair — No cost | Born with either light or dark wings based on dominant energy
- Single Pair — Split Wings — 20 CP | One wing radiant, one wing shadowed (permanent)
- Dual Pair — Separate Wings — 60 CP | One pair celestial, one pair demonic (four wings total)
- Retractable Wings — +30 CP (add-on) | Wings can fully vanish into body when not in use
[2.3] SKIN/APPEARANCE BASE
- Human-Passing — 30 CP | Appears mostly human, features emerge only when powers activate
- Celestial-Leaning — No cost | Pale/luminous skin, ethereal beauty, subtle glow
- Demon-Leaning — No cost | Darker tones, sharp features, faint aura of menace
- True Hybrid — 40 CP | Visibly both — split features, heterochromatic eyes, unmistakably dual-natured
2.4] ADDITIONAL PHYSICAL FEATURES (Optional, select any)
- Horns — 15 CP | Demon heritage manifestation, various styles
- Halo — 15 CP | Celestial heritage manifestation, various forms
- Both Horns and Halo — 25 CP | Ultimate duality symbol
- Tail (Demonic) — 10 CP | Prehensile or aesthetic
- Unique Eye Trait — 10 CP | Glowing, slit pupils, or color-shifting based on mood/power
- Natural Claws — 10 CP | Retractable or permanent
2.5] More Customization
"Towering height is unnecessary, I'm not creating a race of giants, but at the same time, as a race sharing traits of demons and angels, it has to be above standard at least. So tall will do."
"Now for wings. The base one looks fine on its own, and retractable ones would be so helpful with only a 30 CP premium. The others are ugly options."
"Now for skin and appearance. True hybrid is off the chart. First, it's costly, and from the description, I'm not sure what kind of final look it will take. But celestial leaning and demon leaning would be too extreme toward one trait and also too attention-drawing, so with 30 CP, human passing will do, I guess."
"Taking both horn and halo gives you a 5 CP discount, that's great. But personally, I don't like horns, but halo is cool. Also, unique eye trait and natural claws will be great add-ons for just 10 CP each. More customization is unnecessary, this much is enough. I'm already low on CP."
