He knew it made sense to check the other stores first, see his options, think things through. That was the logical way to do it.

But logic didn't matter.

Not at this moment.

The idea of moving things with his mind hooked him hard. Just thinking about it drowned out every other option. It was a cool skill to have, and with the other two choices being nothing special, he was even more drawn to the divine telekinesis manual.

Maybe it was some kind of sales trick, to make the other options bad so he'd pick one.

But he didn't care.

"I'm getting a rare skill at shop level 1. I don't know if I'll get this chance again before I upgrade it to level 2."

With no second of hesitation,

He locked in his decision.

David was sitting on the wooden chair set on the elevated ground in the main hall, marking his position as clan-patriarch.

The seat wasn't comfortable, and the hall was cold and empty.

That was how the main hall of level 1 was.

It had to be upgraded fast.

Before long, a golden light appeared near his hand, materializing into a martial book titled Divine Telekinesis.

[Item delivered!]

"It was fast,"

David muttered before opening the martial manual.

He honestly had a lot of questions, like what the Genesis Altar really was, or what the other things in the store did, and the fact that he had already burned through all his CP.

But right now, all he wanted was to learn the skill and try it.

Manipulating matter with pure will was a really cool concept to him.

"So let's see."

The language was foreign, but he could surprisingly understand it. The manual was divided into four parts.

The first part explained the theory behind its working: divine energy is the purest form of energy, and the physical matter we perceive is nothing but energy patterns.

The second part covered core principles and fundamentals like visual methods, energy circulation, and mental focus. It was the most important section of the manual.

The third part focused on practice and application, detailing training routines and actual uses of the skill.

Page by page, he read. It was surprisingly easy to follow. By the three-hour mark, he was already at the third part.

He stood from the seat, walked down from the elevated platform, and began practicing in the middle of the hall, using it as a temporary training ground.

Two more hours passed. Sweat soaked through his clothes. His breathing came rough and heavy, but he finished the third part.

He opened the book again, reaching the fourth part, Advanced Complexities.

It was the final part of the technique, and unlike the others, it was much harder to grasp. Now the foreign language felt truly foreign.

[Note: You require Advanced Mastery to comprehend the Final Part of the Manual]

"That makes sense."

He read the note at the bottom of the page, then closed the manual and stuffed it into the big pocket of his wool coat.

Seeing the system prompt, a satisfied grin stretched across his face.

After hours of grinding, the ability he'd dreamed of was finally real.

"Let's try it then," he muttered.

He lifted his arm and directed his focus toward the main hall doors.

Just as he intended, the doors snapped open.

'Fuck, it actually worked.'

He barely had time to enjoy the moment. Behind the door stood Moa, holding a pair of shining knives.

Moa chuckled. "Master, how did you know I was about to knock? You truly are a genius."

"???"

"Ah… I just felt like it," David said.

In truth it was pure coincidence, but when your followers gave you credit of something, how can you disappoint them?

"You already finished?" David asked quickly changing the topic, his eyes shifting to the daggers he ordered Moa to forge from the Alpha Wolf's fangs.

"Yes. Please see if they are to your liking," Moa replied, offering them forward.

David used Divine Telekinesis to pull the daggers straight into his hands, flexing the skill again.

The daggers were short and sharp, glossy white blades with brown hilts.

He swung one in the air, testing the balance and the grip. It felt good, better than expected.

"You did good work, Moa. Better than I thought."

"I am grateful you like them,"

"So," David asked, his eyes squinting, "Is Arc still not back?"
