Sylvandria froze for a moment at the question of marriage, then instinctively glanced toward Alaric Von Seraph. She had never been good at lying, and she certainly couldn't fabricate something as effortlessly as Zora.

Her reaction did not escape Dravenor's eyes. In an instant, he understood that she wasn't married for sure.
Perhaps, she was just shy or embarrassed. The third prince quickly prepared another poetic line to impress her.
However, before he could speak a word again, Alaric Von Seraph stood up.
"Sylvandria is my fiancée," he said coolly. "The third Prince should keep his distance."
The words fell cleanly and decisively.
"Hmm?"
At once, Sylvandria's eyes lit up with unmistakable joy. Whether it was true or not no longer mattered. At this moment, Alaric Von Seraph was willing to step forward and shield her, and that alone made her heart race.
