After he observed the girl battling with monsters desperately, Ronata was inspired by her and decided to give it a try, too.
He summoned his Water Lycan. After continuous improvement, his Mana Regeneration speed had already reached the speed of 7 Mana points per minute, meaning he would now only have his Mana reduced by 5 Mana points per minute since he also had four Water Stink Bugs currently settled on their spots as his watching eyes.
That means he could maintain Water Lycan for more than 2 hours with his current Magic stat. Still far from ideal, but it's already good enough for him to try to go hunt some monsters.
The water from his Puddle raised and formed the figure of the Water Lycan, which resembled a panther, but with a taller, leaner build. And a transparent body, since it was made of water.
He concentrated, swiftly transferring a piece of his consciousness to Water Lycan so that he could directly control it. The moment he managed to do so, his vision suddenly transformed.
Finally, he was able to see almost what a Human's normal vision can. The only difference was that he still had his Mana Eye, so if he focused slightly, he could still see the faint traces of Mana in the air.
Satisfied with it, Ronata nodded to himself.
But before he went and killed some monsters, he checked the status of Water Lycan first. Water Stink Bug also had its own status, but since a Stink Bug was merely a little bug with no offensive ability, Ronata never bothered to check its status.
However, Water Lycan was a different case altogether. He would use it to go hunt, so he naturally needed to know more about its ability first; thus, checking its status was a requirement.

—Ronata's Water Imitation.
___
Since Water Lycan was not the real monster Lycan but only the Imitation Ronata had made, its stats were reduced to its base level 1 stats and couldn't be raised.
Its skill is also limited. His imitation could only imitate one of the most crucial skills of the Imitation subject. Outside of that category, his spell wouldn't be able to imitate it.
However, its Magic stat would be linked to Ronata after he transferred part of his consciousness to it, so he could still use his magic through it, which was already good enough for him.
Yes, of course, the same rules applied to his Water Stink Bugs. As long as he transferred part of his consciousness to them and controlled them directly, he could, theoretically, cast magics through them.
It's 'theoretically' since he hadn't yet given it a try. And it was the right time to try this theory out.
With that, Ronata moved his Water Lycan and began to look for his hunting targets.
The moment he stepped out of his Water Stink Bugs watching area, he immediately encountered his first target.
It was a snake. A particularly big snake.
The moment the snake noticed his Water Lycan's presence, it immediately turned around and tried to run out of his Water Lycan's sight.
Ronata raised his mental eyebrow at that, finding the situation peculiar.
'It looked... Frightened?'
Ronata moved Water Lycan and began chasing over it. His Water Lycan's speed was superior, so he could overtake the snake in an instant.
He then pounced directly at the snake's head, his claw raised.
'Shadow Claw!'
His Water Lycan's Magic Skill activated, costing him 5 Mana points and engulfing his Claw with dark energy that could erode not only living beings' physiques, but also their mind. Not lethal, but effective.
However, he didn't have time to see the skill's effect.
After all, the moment his attack struck the snake's head, its head immediately caved in, and its blood was splattered out. It struggled and whipped its tail around for a while before completely going limp, dead.
Ronata looked at his Water Lycan's paw in astonishment.
'My Water Lycan actually this strong?'
The snake was at least big enough to become as thick as an adult Human's thigh. Its body also had grown so long that it reached the length of 15 meters. It was an anaconda-level snake.
Yet his Water Lycan could one-shot it with a strike.
'This is getting interesting! Water Lycan had only 90 points in strength, while I have over than 200 points in Magic. Does that mean I am actually quite strong?'
Ronata recalled the time when he sliced down the group of Humans to protect Whitey and its mate from them with his Magic. Back then, his Magic was only a little more than 80, and he could still kill them with ease.
Now, with his 232 Magic stat...
'Okay, stop it. The reality is that I still can't even maintain this Water Lycan indefinitely. So I am still weak.'
Ronata felt that his joy in his success in his first hunt would be diminished if he further dwelt on that thought, so he focused back on the snake instead. Since both he and Water Lycan don't need any food to live, the snake had only one end waiting for it, and it was to be dissolved by him. While the snake was indeed weaker than his Water Lycan, it would not hurt him to have more options for his Water Imitation spell.
He controlled Water Lycan to bring it back to him to dissolve before continuing his hunt while dissolving it.
His hunts continued until the next two hours passed and he began to feel his Mana reserve running out.
He deactivated his spell and let the water that formed Water Lycan fall back to him before turning around to see a pile of monsters he had hunted. There are at least 29 of them, with three of them already inside him, beginning to be dissolved.
Ronata's current mood is good. Very good, actually.
No, not because of his success in his hunt, but because of his new discovery of his ability.
With an ecstatic heart, Ronata opened his status.

Dissolving three monsters alone had raised his Magic stat from 232 to 241.
When he finished dissolving all of them...
'Oh hell yeah!!'
Ronata was not a man who liked to actively seek power. But a growth for his own personal purpose, with the cause of growth itself was his own gains? He wouldn't refuse it.
