I opened the doors of the student council room and as I walked inside, I noticed Aurora sipping tea from her cup elegantly. Aurora glanced at me and placed her cup on the coffee table in front of her.
"Welcome President.". "How was your training?"
"It was good." I answered firmly.
As I walked to the chair I noticed a file on the coffee table.
"What is that?"
"Oh this? …The Academic Committee sent it this morning for verification." Aurora answered as she placed the file on my desk.
I sat on my chair and opened the file. I looked at the first page and noticed that it was a profile of a student. After that I turned the pages one by one and all of them are profiles of the new students.
"Haven't they already verified this?" I asked as I looked at Aurora.
"They did." Aurora answered while sipping her tea.
"Then."
"It is the double verification process to mitigate future risks." Aurora answered after she placed the tea on the coffee table.
"They are the list of potential students who have ties to the Revolutionary."
"What?" I questioned in bewilderment.
"The Academy doesn't want to take any chances."
"Commoners who graduated from the Academy and joining the Revolutionary has increased in the past few years "
I listened as Aurora continued to explain to me the situation in the Academy.
"There is also pressure from the RoundTable to remove the Student Scholarship."
The Student Council had been doing the double verification process for the past few years. If anyone is deemed as a potential threat, The Student Council notifies the Academic Council to expel the student with immediate effect.
"What do you think?" I asked as I looked at Aurora firmly.
Aurora noticed the earnest look in my face and turned towards me.
"...I think you should do what you feel is right."
"...Thank you." I said as I smiled at her.
"Did you fall for me?" Aurora asked as she smiled at me playfully.
"No." I answered without hesitation.

After a while.
I finished looking at the last profile and closed the file.
"Send this file to the Disciplinary Committee and tell them to keep an eye on these students."
"I will." Aurora answered me calmly as she got up from her chair.
"Who is the Disciplinary Committee head?" I asked as Aurora was about to leave.
"Emma Cavendish." Aurora answered me as she turned back.
"..." I looked at Aurora with skepticism.
"Don't worry. She is good at her job." Aurora answered as if she read my mind.
"Tell her to notify us immediately if she suspects something." I told Aurora firmly.
She nodded her head saying yes and as she was about to open the door. I stopped her again.
"Wait."
Aurora glanced at me and noticed that I was feeling hesitant. Almost immediately as if she picked up feelings, she beamed up and quickly walked towards me. She placed her hands on the desk looking at me with expectation which made me feel even more hesitant.
"...do you know any good places where I can have lunch?" I asked her hesitatingly.
Aurora immediately grabbed my hand with her slender hand and walked towards the door quickly.
"Let's go together." she said as she walked holding my hand with a bright smile on her face.

We were in a private room sitting across the table in a cabaret. A young woman was singing in the concert hall right below us on the ground floor while I took a bite of the meat.
"How is it?" Aurora asked while she stared at me fervently.
"It is good." I answered honestly after I swallowed the meat.
Aurora smiled and she also started eating. I glanced at Aurora who ate taking small bites elegantly. She looked mesmerizing as she took each bite. I quickly dropped my gaze to the food.
"By the way I didn't see the other members today." I asked a question as if to distract myself.
"They usually don't show up unless there is a meeting." Aurora answered after she placed the fork on the table.
"I see."
I stopped asking further as I didn't want to pry.

Aurora's eyes lit up when the dessert had arrived. She completely switched from how she was a while ago when she ate the meat. She devoured a huge piece from the dessert in one bite.
'Yes. This is how she is.' as I burst out laughing.
"What?" she asked with dessert in her mouth.
"Nothing." "Slow down food won't go anywhere."

"I had fun. Thanks for the date." Aurora said with a smile as we were walking on the streets.
Stunned by her sudden statement I paused in my tracks.
"It is not a date." I said as I turned away from her.
"...Then let's go on a date next time." she said as she leaned into my face whispering on my face.
"...I won't go." I said as I backed away from her.
