The prince folded his hands politely.
"May I come in?"
Kiara immediately understood why he was here.
He wanted to convince her.
Part of her wanted to refuse.
Part of her wanted to leave immediately.
Part of her wanted to hear what he had to say.
In the end, she chose the third option.
The problem was already standing on her doorstep.
Running now would accomplish nothing.
"Come in."
Gideon entered.
Kiara closed the door.
Then she dragged two chairs toward the center of the room and placed them opposite each other.
"Sit."
However, Gideon remained standing.
Instead, he produced a scroll.
"Do you mind if I use a spatial barrier?"
He raised the scroll slightly.
"I would prefer this conversation remain private. And what you were about to see and listen to is something no one knows… not even my father or my mother..."
That immediately caught Kiara's attention.
Whatever he intended to discuss, it was apparently important enough to require secrecy.
"Go ahead."
