Kiara continued walking along the garden path as if she hadn't noticed the look Scarlett was giving her. After a few more steps, she finally spoke.
"For now, there's something more important than the marriage arrangement."
Scarlett turned to her.
Kiara's expression had turned serious.
"Convince your grandfather not to do anything reckless," she said. "Whether it's an assassination attempt on me, Arceus, Mr. Juren, or anyone close to me… stop it before it happens."
She let out a quiet breath.
"I already have enough problems to deal with. So don't make things harder for me than they already are."
Scarlett stayed silent, listening.
Kiara glanced at her.
"Since we're stuck together anyway, it would be weird for you to go and tell him in person. Write your grandfather a letter instead. Use whatever method you think will work. Lie, threaten, beg — I don't care. Just make sure this matter is settled before we leave in two days."
She paused, then added in a quieter tone,
"Please."
