Without waiting for another question, Kiara led her across the hallway toward the sitting room upstairs. The room was modest but comfortable, with a long sofa placed beside a large window overlooking the streets below. Afternoon sunlight poured through the glass, bathing the wooden floor in a warm golden hue.
Kiara gestured toward the sofa.
"Sit."
Scarlett obeyed, though curiosity had already appeared across her face.
Kiara sat opposite her instead of beside her this time. She took a slow breath.
Scarlett folded her arms.
"What is it?" She narrowed her eyes playfully. "Another shocking revelation?"
Kiara looked up.
"Why do you say that?"
Scarlett couldn't help smiling.
"Because every time you tell me there's something important… it always turns out to be something unbelievable."
Kiara rubbed her forehead.
"Fair point."
She remained silent for another few seconds before finally speaking.
"Actually… I… and Arceus… haven't married yet."
Scarlett stared blankly.
"What?"
