CHAPTER 12— THE GALAXYFORGE
The doors to the Galaxyforge opened with a low rumble, like a sleeping star exhaling.
Kario, Vexa, Juno, Sen, and the newly added recruit Raviix stepped inside, escorted by Nerya and Vel-Arin.
The chamber was nothing like they expected.
It was enormous—a cathedral built from obsidian crystal and glowing veins of cosmic ore.
Dozens of floating rings spiraled around a central core of molten starlight.
Tools drifted in midair, rearranging themselves gracefully.
At the center hovered the Primordial Crucible, swirling with every color of the cosmos.
Vel-Arin turned to them.
"This is the greatest forge in ROPS history. Before it stands your destinies."
Nerya added, "Each blade you create will be unique—bonded to your essence, shaped by your will, and grown with you."
Astrin stepped forward.
"You've all trained hard. But understand this—real training begins only once your Galaxyblades choose you."
A quiet shiver passed through the group.
1. Vexa — The Ember Scythe
Vel-Arin gestured for Vexa to step up first.
Vexa swallowed hard, stepping toward the Crucible. As she approached, the molten core responded—reddish-orange light rising, curling around her like warm smoke.
"Your fire is passion, not rage," Vel-Arin said softly.
"Let it shape your blade."
Vexa reached into the swirling light.
It didn't burn.
The light condensed, stretching and curving until it formed a long, elegant scythe frame, the blade shimmering like a crescent of living stardust.
The moment she touched it, embers flickered down the length of the handle—tiny galaxies dancing in the metal.
Vexa's eyes widened. "It's… beautiful."
Astrin nodded. "And it is only its first form."
2. Sen — The Rift Axe
Sen stepped into the Crucible next.
The light dimmed for a moment—then turned a deep oceanic blue, humming with rippling distortion.
Space folded subtly around Sen's feet.
"Your art flows," Vel-Arin said. "Ever-adapting. Ever-redirecting."
Sen extended a hand.
The Crucible responded by lifting a massive chunk of cosmic alloy, shaping it with gravitational currents. The head of an axe formed—broad, heavy, humming with spatial tension.
The haft extended, wrapped in shimmering lines of flowing energy.
When Sen gripped it, the axe "breathed," the edges bending reality like water around a stone.
Juno whistled. "That thing weighs a planet."
Sen smiled quietly. "It feels… right."
3. Juno — The Twin Volt Daggers
Juno practically sprinted to the forge.
Electricity crackled even before she reached it. The Crucible lit up in bright white and violet, arcs of lightning snapping and dancing.
Two orbs broke free from the core—tiny, fast, vibrating with energy.
They elongated into twin dagger shapes, their edges serrated with thin channels built to discharge lightning.
But then—
Four tiny, star-shaped shards spun out of the Crucible behind them.
"Your secondary forms," Vel-Arin explained.
"Thrown blades that return to your hands as long as your will calls them."
Juno caught a dagger in each hand, sparks exploding across her fingers.
"Oh, yeah," she grinned. "These are mine."
4. Raviix — The Void-Breaker Spear
Raviix stepped up quietly.
He had trained with them for only a week—mysterious, disciplined, always watching.
A former runaway from a ROPS auxiliary colony. Sharp. Fast. Focused.
The Crucible dimmed to black.
Then—
A faint purple glow emerged from within.
Void energy.
Sen whispered, "Woah."
Void affinity was rare in recruits.
A long shaft formed, sleek and dark, the metal absorbing light. Then a blade shaped itself at the top—long, crescent-curved, with a split tip glowing faintly with purple void-fire.
A Void-Breaker Spear.
Raviix grabbed it as if it belonged to him his entire life.
"It feels… calm," he murmured.
Astrin nodded approvingly. "Void users always say that."
5. Kario — The Katana of Infinite Harmonics
The room quieted as Kario stepped forward.
Everyone watched.
The Crucible spun violently—colors flaring, shifting, blending.
Red. Blue. Yellow. White. Black. Silver.
All layers of the Primordial spectrum.
For a moment, it seemed confused—unfocused—like it couldn't choose.
Nerya whispered to Astrin, "It's reading all six resonances… It shouldn't be possible."
The Crucible suddenly went still.
A single line of pure white light rose from it—thin as a whisper.
It folded.
Sharpened.
Lengthened.
And slowly, gracefully, took the form of a katana.
Not bright, not flashy—just perfect, its blade shimmering with shifting energies beneath the surface, like every Primordial Art was sleeping inside it.
When Kario wrapped his hand around the hilt—
The blade gave a soft pulse.
Like a heartbeat.
Astrin exhaled slowly.
"Your potential runs deeper than any forge can measure."
Kario stared at the weapon, awe-struck.
"I… don't know if I deserve this."
"You will," Astrin said.
6. The Real Beginning
When all five recruits were gathered again, Nerya addressed them:
"You now hold the first forms of your Galaxyblades."
Vel-Arin added:
"Treat them as partners, not tools."
Khyros stepped forward with a rare smile.
"And now that you have earned them…"
Astrin finished the sentence:
"Your real training begins tomorrow.
Everything before this was merely preparation."
The room fell silent with anticipation.
Kario tightened his grip around his new blade.
Vexa lifted her scythe with a fiery grin.
Juno's daggers hummed softly in her hands.
Sen rested his axe across his shoulders, steady and sure.
Raviix spun his spear with effortless grace.
Their true journey—
was finally beginning.
If you're ready, we can continue to Chapter 14, where their real training begins—intense weapon combat, elemental tests, and the start of team dynamics shifting with Raviix in the mix.
