Chapter 365 - Chapter 364 Advancement to Mystic

According to some information Odis obtained from inside the ruins, before the "First Creator" awoke, the "Celestial Being" and "God" seemed to have entered a period of activity.

Odis doesn't yet know anything about the "Celestial Venerable," but from what he's learned today about humanity's research on the "Savior" and "God," he senses something is being orchestrated.

Why were the remains of the "savior" not discovered for two thousand years, but were found shortly before the "first" awakening?

So, were all subsequent studies influenced by "God," or were they simply part of a script "designed" by Him?

Odis speculated that since the "Celestial Venerable" also showed signs of awakening, these two ancient beings had likely entered a relatively active phase ahead of time.

Or rather, in the years before the "initial" awakening, human governments had already noticed the extraordinary existence and begun to pay attention to the research of extraordinary power.

This is also reasonable, because according to some of the information that Odis discovered today, shortly after the research on Easter Island began, some magical phenomena appeared all over the world.

For example, Chernobyl, where a giant crater suddenly appeared. Or oil, as if it had suddenly come to life, began to kill living people, and so on.

This further proves that the "initial" awakening at that time was a process, but most people did not notice it.

After reviewing the clues and information he had gathered, Odis roughly came up with a timeline for this matter.

The incident began when, faced with the rise of the East, the West, realizing it could not stop it head-on, began to resort to underhanded tactics.

Just then, they discovered the remains of Jesus, the "Savior," and began a series of studies.

While the research was underway, mysterious events began to occur around the world. At this time, the West received news that the Eastern deity "Tian Zun" seemed to be awakening as well.

So the research institute on Easter Island got a little anxious and started some extreme research. As a result, instead of waking up the "savior", it directly woke up "God", which in turn caused the "original" to awaken prematurely.

Of course, it cannot be ruled out that all of this was the "original" arrangement.

After making his guesses and summaries, Odis began to consider the matter of promotion.

Now that we have the main and auxiliary materials, and the blood of the mythical creature needed for the ritual, all that's left is to digest the potion before we can advance.

Currently, there's nothing of great importance happening in either Wotai State or Cruz Island. Odis plans to use this time to study the drop of blood and prepare for his promotion.

With a simple plan in mind, Odis used "meditation" to enter the "wilderness of knowledge." He had been very busy recently and hadn't had time to continue writing "The Book of the Stars," but he planned to finish it today.

...

Adonis, the special envoy of Duke Bowen, Minister of the Interior of Remnantburg, departed from Azshara.

His mission this time was to secretly investigate the situation in Wotai Prefecture, to determine whether the banditry had been completely eliminated, and to assess Odis's standing in the eyes of the people.

Adonis knew very well that his task was to find evidence that Odis's power in Voutai had become uncontrollable, so that the Remnburg government could find an opportunity to remove Odis from his post as governor.

After getting off the train in Solothu, Adonis went to learn about the security station set up there by Voutai, and at the same time he had already come up with the first crime for Odis: to exert influence on the surrounding states.

Adonis then traveled by carriage to the province of Vote, and along the way had his men search for information about the people's opposition to Odis's rule.

He observed that Odis must have carried out a large-scale massacre to have wiped out the bandits so quickly, with the two dead barons being the best example.

However, after inquiring around for a long time, his subordinates found that not a single person opposed the new governor's rule.

Even in remote mountain villages, people are full of praise for the new governor.

Because the new governor has been undertaking a large number of water conservancy projects across the state since last month.

The construction workers were recruited from various villages, and the villagers earned a sum of money first.

The completed water conservancy projects also brought them tangible benefits, with increased grain production.

Adonis remained silent after hearing these reports, because he really didn't want to fabricate charges on this matter, and he was also well aware that Odis was a very competent governor in Remnburg.

Unlike Fenneport, Remburg's grain production was mostly only enough for domestic consumption, and in many years it had to import grain.

The world's largest grain exporter is Fenneport and its colonies, but Remnburg and the country are hostile to each other and can only barely maintain normal international relations.

This makes it difficult for Rembrandt to buy cheap grain, which can easily lead to instability in domestic grain prices.

However, the governors of each state focus their main efforts on developing commerce, because the development of commerce and industry is their important performance evaluation criterion.

Therefore, few governors attach such importance to agriculture.

As they continued forward, Adonis heard someone shouting in the distance, "No loitering, let's clear the mountain!"

Adonis stopped the carriage, intending to take his men to the construction site after the explosions that blasted the mountain were over.

While in Azshara, he heard that Odis was building a railway, and from the Duke of Bowen to the railway department in Remnburg, no one was very optimistic about it.

First, the funding and technical aspects are difficult to solve, because Wotai Prefecture is mountainous, so the manpower for road construction is also a major problem.

Since he came to find out about the problems in Vote State, Adonis definitely had to go and take a look, because there must be problems with forced labor and poor working conditions on the railroad.

More than half an hour passed, but the explosion still hadn't occurred.

Adonis had seen the tunnels being dug when the railway was being built, first drilling holes, then planting explosives, and finally blasting them open and clearing away the rocks.

However, the explosion he remembered never occurred, so he led his men to climb to the top of the mountain to investigate.

On the other side of the mountain, there was a busy railway construction site. Workers transported crushed stones from the quarry to the designated railway line by horse-drawn carts, then laid sleepers, covered them with stones, and finally connected the sleepers to the rails with large screws.

The whole process was well-organized, and the workers used many tools that Adonis found completely unfamiliar.

For example, workers laying railway tracks and sleepers used a machine that resembled a small crane.

However, Adonis could not understand how the machine worked because he could not find a steam engine nearby.

No large steam engines were found at the quarry, and the crushing process didn't seem to be entirely manual.

The scene of digging tunnels inside the mountain was even more surreal. A worker was seen sitting on a large machine on the side of the mountain, which emitted a small, silvery-white light.

The beam of light actually pierced through the mountain and appeared on the other side.

The light that pierced through the mountain had dimmed considerably, but it was still extremely sharp, easily slicing through all the trees it touched.

A piece was quickly cut off, and from the outside it looked like a square stone the size of an adult's forearm.

This means that a large section of rock was cut off from the entire interior of the mountain.

At this moment, the thin, silvery-white light on the large machine disappeared, and the operator blew a whistle to indicate that it was safe.

Two other workers stepped forward and opened a thick metal rod on the large machine.

The mechanical rod slowly extended forward, pushing the cut rocks out of the mountain.

The mechanical rod is specially designed so that two workers can screw on a new mechanical rod from the back of the large machine, which allows the mechanical rod to be extended further, pushing out more rocks.

On the other side of the mountain, people were already waiting there, in pairs, each holding a device that also had a silvery-white glow. When a large rock was pushed out two or three meters, it was easily cut off as if slicing cheese.

The horse-drawn carriage was already parked not far away. Workers used small lifting equipment to load the cut stones onto the carriage and transport them to the quarry.

The entire operation stunned Adonis and his team; they had never seen tunnels mined in such a way.

After watching for more than ten minutes, Adonis finally came to his senses and realized that Odis was actually using extraordinary power to dig a tunnel!

Immediately, a series of questions arose in his mind: Were those operators all extraordinary beings?

Would an extraordinary person do this kind of work?

These questions could not be answered simply by looking, so Adonis sent his men to gather information.

But before they even reached the construction site, they were stopped by the security team.

Adonis's men bribed him with money and cigarettes before they finally obtained some intelligence.

These innovative machines were reportedly designed by the new governor.

It only takes a maximum of three days to mine a 1,000-meter tunnel.

The key is that even if they work day and night, only a dozen or so workers are needed to complete the shifts. Because digging tunnels saves a huge amount of manpower, the railway can be laid very quickly. Some people have even boldly predicted that the railway may be completed in three to five months!

That night, Adonis couldn't fall asleep for a long time; his mind was filled with the image of digging the tunnel.

He seemed to see the door to a new world opening towards Rembrandt.

If Odis were transferred from Vötté, these projects would likely come to a complete halt, and the gates that had opened to Remburg would slowly close once more.

After a sleepless night, Adonis had a bold idea.

The next day, the group arrived in Wotai City and learned about the living conditions of the refugees, how the governor was suppressing bandits, and the current situation in Wotai City. After that, Adonis's bold idea became a decision.

He planned to report everything he had seen in Vauthäu to the Duke of Bowen and the King, and suggested that Governor Gard be transferred after the railway was completed.

If they don't take his advice seriously, Adonis intends to publish everything he saw in Vote State.

...

Odis has locked herself in her studio for three days.

His studio is located in the mountains north of Wotai City, a town that was once established by bandits.

After the large bandit group was wiped out, the place was completely abandoned.

Odis thus established the Remnburg Institute here, which included several research institutes.

Since the end of the Pirate Conference, Odis first went to Shara Island to recruit a group of extraordinary individuals with the "General Knowledge" pathway, and then, having acquired a large number of extraordinary individuals with the "Secret Seeker" pathway, he cultivated a group of "Secret Seekers".

Then, Bivis, the third vice president of "Dawnbreaker Sword," was in charge of establishing this research institute.

At this time, most of the people in the research institute were "low-sequence" extraordinary individuals. They were sent to various construction sites to observe the extraordinary tools designed by Odis, listen to the workers' demands, and find ways to improve them.

At first, the extraordinary individuals who had taken the "General Knowledge" pathway all planned to leave when they heard they were going to the construction site, but after seeing those extraordinary tools, they were all reluctant to leave.

After working for a while, they were amazed by Governor Odis's brilliant design and devoted themselves wholeheartedly to their work.

Those extraordinary individuals who followed the "peeping to the secrets" path did not have such complex psychological states. They, or their families, all lived much better lives than before after Odis arrived on Cruz Island or Vote State.

They cherished the job opportunity that Odis offered them, and the salary was indeed very high, 30 sassins per week, equivalent to 6 pounds per week.

Such jobs are hard to find in Vaudeville, and only Odis on Cruz Island offers such high-paying jobs.

Odis's studio was located in a large wooden house at the Remnburg Institute.

Because he had only recently moved in, the studio was still quite empty, with only a few shelves and bookshelves, and not many tools on the workbench.

Odis has been studying that drop of mythical creature's blood here for the past three days.

At the beginning of the study, Odis found that the research was going very smoothly because of her previous experience using the "Sage's Forehead Ornament".

This drop of blood looks no different from normal blood on the surface. The only difference is that it will not dry out or deteriorate even if it is left on the workbench for a long time.

With just a magnifying glass, one can see the still-flowing stream of information contained within this drop of blood.

Odis asked Bernadette if she had any insights into the research process. Bernadette replied that research must be conducted based on one's own ideas, and that following her research insights would not be of much help to Odis's promotion.

In other words, this research process must be explored and learned through trial and error.

So for the past three days, Odis has been observing this drop of blood using various methods.

First, he tried to decipher the information stream, but he soon found it almost impossible. The information seemed to have a unique encryption method, which only the owner of this drop of blood could possibly decrypt.

Alternatively, one needs to know the blood donor very well to decipher this information.

Then Odis considered observing the drop of blood itself, studying the special characteristics of the blood of mythical creatures.

After three days of observation and reflection, Odis decided to pursue his research in the second direction.

Through microscopic observation and by comparing his own blood, he successfully discovered the characteristics of the mythical creature's blood.

These experiments and observations included using bacteria and pathogens to erode two drops of blood and observing their different reactions.

It also includes methods such as high-temperature heating and low-temperature freezing.

As for the method of observation, Odis initially used only a microscope, but he soon discovered that he could not observe anything by simply using a microscope, so he began to use the microscope in conjunction with the "eye of mystery" for observation.

He soon discovered that when the blood of mythical creatures encountered pathogens or bacteria, illusory mystical symbols would immediately appear in the blood.

These mystical symbols will quickly arrange themselves in a certain order, rapidly killing germs and bacteria to ensure normal blood circulation.

High temperatures and freezing temperatures can also stimulate mystical symbols in the blood, generating a mysterious power that resists the effects of excessively hot or cold environments on the blood.

Odis even attempted to simulate the "divine light," but this drop of blood might produce corresponding "extraordinary antibodies," rendering the "divine light's" high temperature and exposure to sunlight ineffective.

Only when Odis launched her attack with the level 1 sealed artifact "Disaster Scepter" did she inflict some damage on this drop of blood.

Odis discovered through careful observation that the blood of mythical creatures could also produce corresponding mystical symbols to ward off the attacks of the "Scepter of Calamity".

However, attacks from level 1 sealed artifacts can effectively disrupt the arrangement of these symbols and reduce their effectiveness.

After intensive experiments and observations, Odis began to summarize.

He believed that the power that produced those illusory mystical symbols was divinity.

Furthermore, only divinity can attack divinity!

This is something that is renewable, difficult to observe in normal times, but truly exists.

Odis then divided his research into two topics: first, how the divinity within the blood of mythical creatures is regenerated; and second, the relationship between divinity, the extraordinary, and spirituality.

Odis designed a series of experiments and eventually drew further conclusions.

Through his spiritual observations, he discovered that the spirits surrounding the blood of mythical creatures were exceptionally active. He then conducted experiments to determine that the divinity of the blood of mythical creatures was constantly replenished by the surrounding spirits.

Through a series of experiments, Odis realized that the extraordinary characteristics of the angelic level had caused a qualitative change in this drop of blood, and this qualitative change could be combined with divinity to produce certain extraordinary effects.

Or rather, the qualitative change that divinity caused in this drop of blood was a development in the direction that divinity "expected".

The inherent characteristics of living cells and tissues are fundamentally unable to withstand the qualitative changes brought about by divinity.

Based on Odis's previous research on the extraordinary and spiritual, he ultimately concluded that divinity draws power from the spiritual through the transformed human body tissues.

Divinity can bring about a qualitative change in extraordinary characteristics, which in turn can bring about a qualitative change in the extraordinary abilities displayed.

Divinity can, to some extent, substitute for extraordinary qualities and, under external stimuli, can react violently with spirituality.

Divinity remains an invisible and indescribable entity; it seems to exist in a higher dimension and can have a profound impact on the three-dimensional environment.

Observable information is merely a manifestation of divinity; the true nature of divinity is far more abstract. It is both existent and nonexistent. It can be raging fire or freezing ice. It cannot be described by physical measures such as weight or temperature, yet it can influence the will and thought processes of intelligent beings.

Divinity can bring about subversive changes to spirituality. Specifically, it can make many common things extraordinary, such as limbs regenerating or a seemingly ordinary stream of water drowning a normal person.

After completing these studies, Odis took a deep breath, feeling that at his current level, it would be difficult to conduct any further research.

So he put away the drop of mythical creature's blood that he had been working on for several days, organized his research results, opened the door, and stretched.

They discovered that some of the wooden houses outside were on fire, some had been struck by lightning, and some had completely disappeared.

There was no one in the entire research institute; it seemed as if the place had been abandoned for a long time.

Odis called out twice before Bivis emerged from the distant cabin: "Captain, is your research finally finished?"

Odis pointed to the surrounding wooden houses: "What's going on with these wooden houses?"

"I don't know either." Bivis replied with a wry smile, "On the third day of your research, strange phenomena began to occur around your studio."

"Sometimes it will suddenly catch fire, and it's the kind of fire that can't be extinguished. It will also be struck by lightning, or suddenly disappear."

"I sensed many strange gazes spying on your research, but I knocked on the door for a long time without getting a response, and I couldn't see inside through the window."

He paused and said, "I quickly went to Wotai City to invite the 'Mysterious Queen' over. She observed for a while and told us that your research was too advanced, which caused some strange changes in the surrounding environment. She told us not to worry too much."

"Only then did I evacuate all the members of the research institute and wait alone for your research to end."

This completely stunned Odis, who never expected his research to elicit such a reaction.

He was immediately filled with lingering fear, because he realized that his research over the past few days must have revealed the most mysterious part of this world, which was why he had such a strange reaction.

If one is not careful, one's own experiments could very well turn one into a monster.

Fortunately, he was very cautious and never forced himself to conduct further research on topics that were beyond his capabilities.

Odis then had Bevis move his studio to a distant mountaintop and gave each staff member a compensation of 50 pounds.

He then used the "trip" to return to Wotai and go to the governor's office.

The latest novel is first published here!

Bernadette was reclining in her chair, looking at the documents in her hands with a somewhat languid air.

Upon seeing Odis arrive, she smiled and said, "It seems your research is very thorough."

Odis sat opposite her: "What was your research topic back then?"

Odis's research was finished, so there was no fear of affecting him. Bernadette then asked, "What topic? Wasn't it about studying the knowledge contained in the blood of mythical creatures? Whatever knowledge is in the blood, that's the knowledge you can obtain."

Odis was taken aback, thinking to himself: My research seems to have gone a bit astray.

He then realized that his research was also correct, after all, he had completely analyzed that drop of blood and obtained a lot of advanced and extensive knowledge from it.

The only problem is that he seems to have designed the topic too difficult; it's not about studying the drop of blood itself, but rather about studying the essence of a mythical creature.

Odis then abruptly ended the conversation, asking, "What major events have occurred while I was away?"

"Bishop Casey of the 'Church of Knowledge' in Voutai came to see you," Bernadette said. "He said the King was going to transfer you from Voutai, but as a promotion, and by three ranks."

"The meaning of 'the Church of Knowledge' is that they can only guarantee that you will not be demoted, but they cannot interfere with such job transfers."

"If you wish to remain in Wotai, hurry and make a trip to Azshara. The Church of Knowledge will help you network among the nobles."

Odis smiled and said, "As expected."

He paused for a moment and said, "I'd really like to see what position the king has prepared for me, preferably a high-ranking official position."

However, that is almost impossible.

Bernadette offered no comment, but added, "The clerk you hired, Roxanne, wants to speak with you privately."

Three clerks were hired at the time, and it has been confirmed that two of them were informants for other organizations. Now only Roxanne is still employed.

Odis nodded, waiting for Bernadette to continue.

Something else must have happened, because yesterday Odis's potion was suddenly completely digested.

At the time, he was focused on his research and did not actively digest the potion, so he guessed that this should be considered "passive digestion".

It's possible that some things he previously spearheaded have changed, which has facilitated the digestion of the potion.

Sure enough, Bernadette said, "The Duke of Bowen's envoy came to Wotai State, supposedly to find evidence of your crimes, but after returning, he strongly recommended that you continue to serve as the governor of Wotai State."

"But the King and the Duke of Bowen did not heed his advice, so he contacted the newspapers and made the changes in Vaudé Province public."

"This resulted in him and the newspaper's editor-in-chief being imprisoned."

Odis realized that it was the people of Azshara who, upon learning of the changes in Wotai, further shaped Odis's mysterious image, thus allowing the potion to be completely absorbed.

However, he was somewhat puzzled: "Why would that special envoy do such a thing?"

"I'm curious too," Bernadette said. "So I just went to talk to him yesterday."

"He said he hoped Remenberg could seize this opportunity."

Odis paused for a moment, then asked, "Is he a nobleman, and a young nobleman at that?"

Could this be a radical member?

"No," Bernadette said. "He entered the Remnburg government through examination and gained the appreciation and trust of the Duke of Bowen."

"But he was not an official, just a senior staff member."

Odis nodded, meaning that his parents were likely ordinary people. It was probably because he saw the current vitality of the state and the state government's policies to benefit the people during his investigation of Wotai State, and did not want the people of the state to fall into despair again after the governor left.

This made Odis quite emotional: this was the courage shown by ordinary people in this world.

Now that Odis had returned, Bernadette's duties as acting governor were over, and she returned to her residence to rest.

Odis first glanced at the documents from the past few days, then had a waiter bring over the clerk Roxanne: "What do you want to talk to me about?"

Odis had initially thought that Roxanne might be a spy for the "Morse Penitentiary," but now that the "Morse Penitentiary" attack was over, she still showed no sign of leaving.

Long Ze'er had not noticed anything unusual during his previous observations of her.

This made Odis quite curious: who exactly sent Roxanne?

Roxanne smiled and said, "Mr. Governor, I would like to make a request to you."

Odis hummed in agreement: "Go ahead."

He realized that Roxanne was about to lay her cards on the table.

"I would like you to open a valley in Vorta to Fenneport," the other party said seriously.

Odis was taken aback: This guy is one of Fenneport's men? The first one who died, the clerk whose name I forgot, wasn't one of Fenneport's military personnel?

After a moment's thought, Odis immediately said, "Absolutely impossible!"

If he were to actually agree, it would be an act of treason. As long as he remains the governor of Vötät, even the saints of the Remnborg royal family would likely be aware of such a move.

Moreover, he had just largely resolved Feneport's infiltration of Rembrandt, and then immediately reintroduced Feneport's influence, which was pointless.

Now that he had fallen out with Fenneport, Odis had no hope for them.

"Don't be so quick to refuse," Roxanne continued. "My wording just now might not have been quite accurate. To be precise, it's not open to Fenneport, but to the Church of Mother Earth."

Odis was taken aback: Was this a spy from the Church of the Mother Goddess?

He believed he had no grudges against the Church of the Mother Goddess, so why would the Church of the Mother Goddess send people to watch him?

He pondered for a moment and said, "I need to know, what's the name of that valley? Why do you want that valley?"

"The valley north of Krishi," Roxanne replied. "That valley produces a few to a dozen 'Black Spiral Flower' plants every year, which is the extraordinary material we need."

To be precise, it is the extraordinary material needed for advancement to Sequence 8 "Doctor". The Church of Mother Goddess previously supported Fenneport's infiltration of Vote State for the sake of that extraordinary material in the valley.

Odis thought for a moment before saying, "That ancient battlefield?"

"right."

The town of Klicch is located near the border between Feneport and Remburg, and the Klicch Pass is an important passage from Remburg to the Vottae region, with troops stationed on both sides.

A few years ago, the state of Vötté was in a state of chaos, so the garrison guarding the pass in Lenburg was disbanded. Odis has only recently redeployed troops to the area.

However, the two countries don't have much commercial interaction, so the roads here aren't very busy. There's no railway, not even a paved road.

In the "Battle of the Oath" hundreds of years ago, the army of Feneport and the "Southern Allied Forces" led by Remenberg and Masy fought repeatedly for this pass, and many people died here.

Odis recalled that, according to some of the information he had read, a large number of corpses from both armies were buried in the valley north of the town of Clichy.

But that valley steadily produced extraordinary materials for the "cultivator" pathway.

This made Odis sigh: No wonder the doctrine of the Church of the Earth Mother Goddess says that life, like a plant, absorbs the nutrients of the earth, slowly grows and flourishes, and finally decays, returning to the earth to nourish other life.

Odis thought for a moment before saying, "I will not allow the Fenneport government and military to enter Wotai State again."

This does not include the power of the church.

"Thank you." Roxanne smiled again. "The Church of the Mother Goddess will always remember your kindness."

Odis asked, "Are you leaving too?"

"No, I like working in Wotai." She smiled and said, "Don't worry, I have never shown my faith in Mother Earth in front of others, so it won't cause you any trouble."

Odis smiled and said, "Well, have a good time working in Wotai."

He felt that leaving an informant within the Church of Mother Goddess wouldn't be bad, as he might need this channel in the future.

Then Odis smiled and said, "But I won't be governor for long."

Roxanne replied, "From what I've observed, you are unlikely to relinquish the power you have built in Wotai. Even if you were no longer the governor, the affairs of the entire state would still proceed according to your will."

Odis smiled and said, "You're quite professional when it comes to intelligence work."

Roxanne continued, "There's one more thing. I'd like to order a batch of submachine guns and semi-automatic rifles from you."

Although she did not specify, these were certainly weapons ordered for the Fenneport government.

Odis did not refuse: "How many do you want?"

"I need 1,000 of each."

Odis quickly gave an offer: "20 pounds apiece, payable in gold pounds."

This price was £8 higher than the same firearms offered to the Fussac Empire, but given that they were still enemies at the time, it was already good enough that they were able to sell to them.

Roxanne was clearly surprised that Odis agreed to the deal: "No problem."

As for Odis, he could sell submachine guns and semi-automatic rifles to the enemy forces. If they dared to use these weapons against Odis, Odis would show them what firepower suppression was.

Odis wasn't afraid of them copying it; the machine tools of this era were far less sophisticated than those Odis had created using the "wilderness of knowledge."

Therefore, the guns they make are much less accurate than the originals, which is equivalent to giving Odysseus a free GG.

Having finalized the arms deal, Roxanne took her leave.

Odis carefully considered whether this matter had been handled properly, because due to the "War of the Oath," the official extraordinary beings of the Church of Knowledge and the Church of the Mother Goddess, although not from adjacent pathways, were hostile to each other.

Since Odis has chosen to cooperate with the Church of Knowledge, she cannot openly cooperate with the Church of the Mother Goddess.

So as long as Roxanne's identity is not revealed, there shouldn't be any major problems.

Over the next two days, Odis carefully adjusted her condition and returned to the workshop that had been moved to the mountaintop to concoct potions and advance to Sequence 4.

Looking at the materials on the workbench, Odis suddenly felt a little emotional. He hadn't expected to advance to demigod so soon. At this time last year, he was still a Sequence 9.

He then looked ahead to his plans after the promotion, thinking that becoming a Sequence 4 would grant him divinity and allow him to do more things, which strengthened his resolve to advance.

After checking his preparations one last time, Odis took out a beaker and began to mix the potion.

First, add the auxiliary materials: "psychedelic red coral powder" that looks like it has starlight particles, colorful and beautiful "flower bird phantom cockroach wings", golden resin from ancient pines, a grape with golden patterns, and a small piece of fine parchment.

Simply adding these auxiliary materials to the beaker caused some reactions; although they were all solids, they showed signs of melting.

Next, Bernadette helped seal the "Core Crystal of the Enchanted Red Coral," a crimson bead surrounded by a hazy aura that was mesmerizing at first glance.

Finally, add the "Head Crystal of the Flower-like Phantom Cockroach," a crystal that looks unreal, as if it could disappear into the void at any moment.

After all the materials were added to the beaker, they began to react on their own, quickly forming a liquid that kept changing shape.

Odis recalled once more the ritual required for ascension: the complete analysis of a drop of blood from a mythical creature, from which he would gain complex and vast knowledge.

The ceremony was far beyond expectations.

So Odis took a deep breath, picked up the beaker, and drank the potion.

While the potion was in his mouth and esophagus, Odis could feel it changing shape on its own, giving him the sensation of swallowing a live rat.

As the potion entered her stomach, Odis felt as if she had exploded, her consciousness rising and becoming somewhat blurred.

He felt as if he were in a boundless starry sky, walking forward, but it seemed he would never reach his destination.

Just then, a cluster of stars in the sky suddenly formed a very special occult symbol.

Odis instinctively interpreted it as meaning "nothing" or "absence".

Suddenly, all the research and information about the "Garr runes" appeared in Odis's mind, as if he had suddenly regained control of his consciousness.

Odis looked again at the mystical symbols in the starry sky, and the other stars began to change, forming "Garbage Runes".

After a certain arrangement, the starry sky formed a simple magic circle representing the "exit".

In the blink of an eye, Odis returned to the real world and back into her own body.

He saw that his body was covered with a layer of mystical symbols, symbols that he had observed when he was studying the drop of blood from the mythical creature.

Odiston suddenly realized that his previous research on the blood of mythical creatures was a form of protection for his body and consciousness.

Moreover, the more advanced the research, the more comprehensive the corresponding protection.

Through the process of advancement, Odis realized that the so-called divinity was the "Garbular Rune".

Or rather, the "Garr runes" are a way to unlock divinity!

At this moment, Odis suddenly gained a deeper understanding of divinity.

Divinity has two levels: the physical level and the abstract level.

On a physical level, divinity can be understood as a special kind of spirituality. It is not only extraordinary materials of Sequence 4 and above that can generate divinity. In fact, one can utilize divinity to a certain extent even before becoming a demigod.

Odis also realized that his ability to "simulate" other methods was actually a way of utilizing divinity through the "Gar runes".

Because only divinity is diverse, or rather, merely possessing the extraordinary characteristic of diversity can only result in a clumsy imitation of abilities from other sources, and its effectiveness will be diminished.

Odis's simulation of other abilities can almost perfectly reproduce the original power of those abilities.

This involves the abstract aspect of divinity. Odis believed that all divinity originated from the "original creator," and as long as this "original" did not completely perish, and all the gods did not completely perish, divinity would still exist.

Since divinity originates from the "beginning," theoretically, by utilizing divinity, one can use all means, including all the abilities wielded by the Outer Gods! However, this is on the premise that it does not involve the corresponding authority.

Odis suddenly gained a new understanding of omniscience and omnipotence.
