Chapter 47 - A "Humane" Way to Fight

Outside Mondstadt City.

The three of them had just stepped out of the city gates.

Morning light reflected off the vast Cider Lake, shimmering with waves. The lake surface was like a giant sapphire, sparkling under the sun. The morning breeze brought a faint scent of fruit, refreshing the mind.

However, Kael was not immersed in the scenery.

He keenly noticed that the little guy beside him—Klee—was staring intently at the lake surface, her eyes flickering with eagerness.

As expected.

In the next second, Klee clenched her small fists, familiar excitement bubbling in her eyes. "Such a big lake... if I throw a big bomb in, will there be a super big splash?"

Kael: "..."

Fischl: "..."

Fortunately, Klee finally withdrew her gaze with a struggle. Her small face was written with conflict.

Klee clenched her small hands tightly, muttering to herself, "Can't bomb, can't bomb... Master Jean said I can't bomb Cider Lake... Can't bomb... Can't bomb..."

Although she was chanting "can't bomb," Kael clearly saw Klee's small hand unconsciously reaching toward her backpack, as if ready to pull out a bomb at any moment.

Kael sighed helplessly and quickly diverted her attention. "Alright, let's hurry up. Today's mission is to go to the Whispering Woods to collect supplies and investigate the Hilichurl gathering points."

Saying this, the three of them stepped onto the winding path toward the Whispering Woods.

As Kael walked, he suddenly thought of Klee's "Bomb Attribute."

Whispering Woods...

Is it really suitable to bring Klee there?

Various scenes floated in his mind.

For example, Klee casually throwing a bomb buffed by him, igniting the dry leaves of the forest. A raging fire spreading instantly, turning the entire forest into a sea of flames...

The corner of Kael's mouth twitched slightly.

That scene... I dare not imagine it.

There was no one around who could control Hydro elements. If the fire got out of control and burned down the Whispering Woods, that would be "interesting."

Having experienced the power of bombs enhanced by Destruction energy, he knew the devastation too well.

Thinking of this, Kael made a decisive decision. "Let's take a detour. We'll collect supplies in the Whispering Woods, then head to Starfall Valley. There's a river near Windrise where you can bomb fish."

"Eh?"

Hearing Kael's words, Klee's eyes lit up instantly. "Starfall Valley? Really?"

Kael nodded. "En. The environment there is more suitable for you to play with bombs. Even if it explodes, it won't have too much impact."

Klee jumped up excitedly. "Yay! Big Brother Kael is the best!"

Fischl crossed her arms, the corner of her mouth lifting in a confident smile. "Our expedition also requires a battlefield! Starfall Valley is the trial ground bestowed upon us by the Gods, destined to witness the magnificent chapter of the Prinzessin and her loyal retainers!"

Oz translated with a sigh: "My Lady means: She also thinks going to Starfall Valley is a good decision."

Kael: "..."

Fine. The Chuunibyou approves too.

The three adjusted their direction, moving along the small path from Whispering Woods to Starfall Valley.

Kael had a premonition—today's journey might be even livelier than yesterday. Especially considering the bombs on standby in Klee's backpack.

Starfall Valley probably won't be peaceful today.

Before long, the edge of the Whispering Woods was in sight.

However, just as they were about to step into the forest...

Kael's footsteps stopped abruptly. His gaze fell on a clearing ahead that had been empty yesterday.

There, a crude Hilichurl camp had appeared out of nowhere.

"Hmm?"

Kael frowned slightly, scanning it sharply.

The camp was built quite roughly. Wooden stakes and beams formed a perimeter fence, and several temporary wooden huts were scattered inside.

Two Pyro Shooters (Hilichurl Archers) could be seen pacing on a wooden tower, scanning the surroundings vigilantly.

It seemed to be a newly built gathering point.

"There were no Hilichurls here yesterday, right?" Kael asked, turning to Fischl.

Fischl froze for a moment, her golden pupil contracting slightly.

Then she snorted coldly, lifting her head. "Foolish sinners, daring to build a nest of evil under the Prinzessin's eyelids, attempting to evade judgment... sheer arrogance!"

Oz flapped his wings helplessly, translating for her: "My Lady means... this camp wasn't here yesterday."

Hearing this, Kael looked at the temporary camp thoughtfully.

Indeed, the building structure wasn't solid. Some wooden fences weren't even fully fixed.

This meant it was built recently. Likely last night.

From the numbers, there weren't many Hilichurls—about a dozen. mostly ordinary ones, with a few Wooden Shield Hilichurls patrolling.

The most threatening ones were the two Pyro Shooters on the tower. The tips of their crossbow bolts flickered with faint firelight. Once fired, they would ignite the target.

"Looks like these guys want to take root here," Kael muttered.

At this moment, Fischl's gaze became sharp. Her hand subconsciously touched the bow on her back, the Electro light of her Vision faintly emerging.

"Just right! The Prinzessin needs a trial to display the might of the Thunder of Condemnation!"

"My Lady means: She wants to fight," Oz translated as usual.

Kael's mouth twitched.

Why does she look more excited than Klee?

However, he didn't stop her. It was a good chance to test the Sampo Path Skill he just got.

While Kael was thinking this...

Fischl had already raised her bow. A purple Electro arrow condensed on the string.

"Let the Prinzessin's Thunder tear apart your sinful souls!"

"My Lady means: She is ready. Target is the Pyro Shooter."

Whoosh—!

The arrow broke through the air, drawing a gorgeous purple lightning trail. It hit the Pyro Shooter on the tower with precision.

Bang!

Current exploded over the Hilichurl's body. It convulsed, let out a scream, and fell straight off the tower.

Before the second shooter could react, Fischl drew her bow again.

Thwack!

Another precise hit. The second shooter fell, incapacitated.

But almost the instant the arrows landed, the camp exploded into chaos!

A group of Hilichurls by the bonfire roared in anger. Ordinary Hilichurls grabbed torches and charged aggressively. Leading them were several Shield Hilichurls.

Seeing this scene, Kael narrowed his eyes, a faint smile on his lips.

He raised his right hand and made a gentle flicking motion.

Instantly, Sampo's Path Branch Skill — [You Are The Most Shining] activated!

FLASH—!!

A violent, dazzling white light exploded in the area where the Hilichurls were charging, centered on the direction Kael flicked his hand.

Like a miniature sun descending instantly, the blinding brilliance washed the entire battlefield white.

"Gwah—!"

"Huka—!"

The Hilichurls who were charging aggressively instantly screamed, hugging their heads and running around in pain.

Some even dropped their torches, nearly setting the grass beneath their feet on fire.

Even more exaggeratedly...

The Shield Hilichurls in the front, now blinded, began to wave their shields wildly, knocking the ordinary Hilichurls behind them everywhere.

One Hilichurl was even hit by a companion's torch, catching fire instantly and rolling on the ground to extinguish it.

The scene was instantly chaotic.

Kael smiled with satisfaction.

This thing is really useful!

Because it was an Area-of-Effect Path Skill.

Meaning, no matter who the target was... as long as they were hit by this skill, they would be blinded.

It was like a Conceptual Skill.

Even a God would inevitably be blinded.

"Eh?! Ehhh?!!"

Beside him, Klee's eyes widened, her mouth slightly open. She was stunned.

She clearly saw Big Brother Kael just flick his hand.

And the Hilichurls in front started spinning around like they were under some strange magic, hitting their own companions.

"Big Brother Kael... did you use some invisible Flash Bomb?!" Klee pulled Kael's hem curiously, her eyes full of excitement. "But you didn't throw anything!"

Even Oz flapped his wings in astonishment. "Miss, I didn't see him throw anything either..."

Fischl's eyes widened in shock. She stared at the chaotic Hilichurls with intense interest.

"This is... a power this Prinzessin has never seen before!"

Fischl clenched her fist excitedly. "Kael! Could it be thou hast secretly mastered some Divine Art of Light?!"

Kael: "..."

How does this woman keep coming up with new settings for me?

"Don't daze out," Kael laughed. "Finish them off. Use your arrows."

The blindness only lasted ten seconds.

"Hmph hmph—"

Fischl's lips curled into an arrogant arc.

She raised her bow high.

"Under the guidance of fate, the Judgment Arrow shall pierce these ignorant heretics! Oz, assist me!"

Oz sighed. "My Lady means: I'm starting."

Whoosh—!

The arrow flew out like lightning, accurately hitting a blinded Hilichurl!

Bang!

The Hilichurl fell instantly.

Fischl's eyes lit up.

Too convenient!

It was the first time she discovered there was such a "Humane" way of fighting in this world!

No danger! No threat! The opponent didn't even have a chance to fight back!

What kind of heavenly archery experience is this?!

Fischl was incredibly excited. She drew her bow rapidly.

"The gears of fate have turned! The claws of darkness shall perish under my arrows!"

Oz: "My Lady means: Next one."

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Arrows flew out continuously, taking down the confused Hilichurls one by one.

She was even starting to enjoy the thrill of this hunt!

"Hahaha! Tremble, weak sinners, under the Thunder of Condemnation!"

Oz: "My Lady means: This is really too easy."

Kael glanced at Fischl, seeing her getting more and more excited, and smiled faintly. "Looks like you're having fun."

"Fun?! This is the Prinzessin's Day of Glorious Hunting!"

Kael scanned the battlefield. The Hilichurls had all fallen.

"Klee, come help."

Beside them, Klee ran up excitedly, throwing small bombs into the camp one by one.

Adapter's Log & Concise Analysis (Chapter 47)Chapter Rating: 8.5/10 (Action/Comedy).Lore Consistency Tier:Perfect.

Adapter's Log:

Skill Mechanics: The "Blindness" skill is depicted as a "Conceptual Flashbang." It doesn't rely on physics (no object thrown), which confuses the Teyvat natives.Fischl's "Humane" Combat: Fischl calling a turkey shoot "Humane" is great irony.

Concise Analysis:

Lore Check (Perfect): Pyro Shooters lighting grass on fire is a classic Genshin mechanic. Klee's struggle not to bomb the lake is in character.Plot Convergence: The new camp suggests Hilichurls are mobilizing (due to the Abyss Order, as Albedo suspects).
