Hearing their shouts, the bystanders all turned to look at them, completely confused as to why the two of them were getting so excited.
However, the instant Yusaku's words fell, the atmosphere on the Duel Field changed dramatically.
Dark energy surged like a raging tide, gathering and condensing. The sky was instantly swallowed by thick shadows, as if night had fallen ahead of time.
The crowd widened their eyes, staring up at the Fusion vortex that had appeared overhead.
"W-what's with this huge commotion?! What the hell is he summoning?"
Someone couldn't help asking.
In the howling wind, Yusaku's black hair whipped about wildly. He held a card glowing with a reddish-brown light between two fingers, raised high, and shouted:
"Knight from beyond the silent galaxy, reveal your might before all mankind! Now is the moment when the memories sleeping within the constellations awaken!"
"Arise, Level 8—miracle of Red-Eyes! Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon!!!"
The moment his voice fell, a deafening roar shook the air.
A vortex of immense magical power swirled into being out of nowhere, lightning raging within it. A massive dragon claw suddenly thrust out from the vortex, its razor-sharp talons gleaming coldly, as if they could tear space itself apart.
The titanic, imposing form of Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon slowly emerged. Its body was wrapped in armor that shone with a metallic luster, gold and black interweaving in striking contrast. A pair of massive dragon wings on its back spread wide, radiating absolute supremacy.

Seeing the monster that had appeared, the confidence vanished from Kazama's face.
In such a short time, the opposite field had gone from completely empty to holding three monsters—and each one radiated more pressure than the last.
The other tournament participants watching from the sidelines stared at Yusaku in shocked disbelief.
There were still two monsters with over 2500 ATK on the other side of the field, plus 8000 LP.
Could he really end the game this turn?
"Lastly, I activate the Spell Card [Branded Fusion]!
Its effect: I send 2 monsters from my hand, Deck, or field to the GY as Fusion Materials to Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck that lists 'Fallen of Albaz' as material."
"I send the [Lubellion the Searing Dragon] on my field and a copy of [Fallen of Albaz] from my Deck to the GY as Fusion Material."
Yusaku held up a softly glowing card between two fingers and raised his arm.
"Rampaging tyrant dragon of the frozen glacier, whip up your furious flames! Shatter the locked seam of this closed-off world and bring ruin to my enemies!"
"Appear, Level 8—Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon!"
As his cry rang out, a gigantic dragon seemingly formed entirely from ice crystals burst out of the swirling Fusion vortex high above. It slammed heavily onto the ground, letting out a sky-shaking roar.

Seeing the dragon that appeared, Kazama's face went pale and he subconsciously took half a step back.
In the last duel, it was this very monster that brought utter destruction down upon his teammate.
"Don't panic."
A teammate standing behind Kazama spoke up quietly.
"Even if he banishes one of my monsters, I still have another one on the field. With only three monsters on his side, he can't finish me."
Hearing that, Kazama let out a quiet sigh of relief.
The onlookers also nodded along.
Thinking it through carefully… it did kind of seem that way.
Hearing this, Yusaku (the spectator) couldn't help but laugh.
"A bunch of idiots, still thinking the game can't end like this. They probably have no clue how busted Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon really is!"
And right as his words fell, Yusaku's voice rang out on the field.
"I activate [Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon]'s effect!"
"During my Main Phase, I can destroy 1 monster on your field and inflict damage to you equal to its original ATK!"
Kazama: "?"
Spectators: "!!!"
"And I can use this effect up to a number of times per turn equal to the number of Normal Monsters used as Fusion Materials for this card. I used two Normal Monsters to Fusion Summon this, so I can activate this effect twice."
Kazama's pupils shrank sharply. "What???"
"I activate Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's effect!" Yusaku shouted. "I destroy your [Invoked Mechaba] and inflict 2500 damage to you!"
The instant he spoke, Dragoon swung its blade through the air. A crescent-shaped red slash of light, brimming with surging magical energy, tore through the sky.
The enhanced black magic power brutally shredded the alloy war-beast's body. The remaining shockwave didn't fade, surging toward Kazama and shooting straight through his body, forcing him to stagger back several steps.
[Kazama – LP: 8000 → 5500]
"Next, I activate Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's effect again and destroy your negated [El Shaddoll Winda], dealing you 2200 damage!"
Another tyrannical red slash of light flew out, striking Winda squarely on the field and blasting the little Winda to pieces, scattering her form into fragments that vanished from the Duel Field.
[Kazama – LP: 5500 → 3300]
"With that, you no longer have any monsters left to block for you!"
Yusaku pointed straight at him.
"Battle. Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon—attack him directly!"
Countless ice crystals shot out from the white dragon's body and exploded midair into a storm of razor fragments, tearing straight through Kazama's body.
[Kazama – LP: 3300 → 300]
"And to finish it—Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, attack!!"
Yusaku looked at Kazama and gave a slight smile.
"Oh, and don't forget that full deck you promised me."
As his words fell, the attack command was issued. Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's blade swung through the air yet again, a crescent-shaped red slash of light roaring forth with surging magic.
Watching the attack fill his vision, Kazama's face twisted in total despair and unwillingness.
"No way… how could I lose? I refuse to accept this!"
But no matter how unwilling he was, the result would not change.
The crimson slash fell in an instant, piercing straight through his body. The overwhelming impact sent him flying.
"UAAAAGH!!!"
[Kazama – LP: 300 → 0]
The very instant the Duel ended, the system's voice rang out in Yusaku's mind.
[Congratulations to the Host for winning the Duel. Level up!]
As his level rose, a new mission appeared at the same time.
[Hidden Mission triggered. Does the Host accept?]

[Mission Requirement: In a single Duel, defeat your opponent within three turns, and end the Duel with no less than 8000 LP.]
