The instant Winda hit the field, Kitkallos's face bloomed into a radiant smile. Her eyes flicked toward Yusaku, and her crisp voice carried a hint of mischief.
"Master, with that monster on the field, you can only Special Summon one more monster this turn."
Yusaku's lips curved into a faint smile. "Same for you."
"That's not the same at all." She tilted her head playfully, her hair swaying with the motion. "This is your turn, after all. If we're talking about who gets hit harder by the restriction, that's obviously you."
Hearing her, Yusaku smiled calmly and nodded. "You're not wrong. Since it's my turn, the restriction is definitely on me."
"Right, right—so if you want to bring out that big angel, you still have to unlock it?"
"We're not at the part where I lose." Yusaku chuckled lightly. "Because getting rid of that monster is effortless for me."
At that, the girl blinked, confusion flashing across her face.
Yusaku glanced at Winda on the field, then called out sharply.
"Then we move into resolving effects! First, I activate Tearlaments Sulliek's effect! If this card is sent to the GY by an effect, I can add 1 'Tearlaments' monster from my Deck to my hand!"
"I add Tearlaments Havnis to my hand!"
After neatly taking the searched card into his grasp, Yusaku didn't pause for even a second.
"Next, I activate Agido the Ancient Sentinel's effect!"
"If this card is sent to the GY from the hand or Deck: both players send the top 5 cards of their Deck to the GY!"
As his words fell, a pale golden shimmer surged from the top of both Decks. Five cards from each side were swept up as if caught in an invisible current, fluttering through the air with a rapid rustle before dropping precisely into their respective GYs.
After the mill, Yusaku flicked his eyes to the GY and barked out:
"I activate the effect of Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard, which was just sent to the GY by Agido the Ancient Sentinel's effect!"
Before his voice had fully faded, the girl's clear, bell-like tone rang out from across the field.
"Then I chain to your effect! I activate the effect of Tearlaments Reinoheart that you just sent to the GY—then I chain my Counter Trap, Tearlaments Cryme!"
Yusaku raised a card from his own GY.
"Then I'll chain to yours—activating the Trap in my GY: Trivikarma!"
With that, the Chain snapped into place in an instant.
CL1: Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard → CL2: Tearlaments Reinoheart → CL3: Tearlaments Cryme → CL4: Trivikarma.
"Alright," Yusaku said, voice low and steady. "I'll start resolving."
"First—Trivikarma. I banish this card from my GY to add 1 Spell/Trap from my Deck, other than itself, that lists 'Visas Starfrost' in its text!"
"I banish it, and add the Field Spell—Primeval Planet Perlereino—to my hand!"
Watching Yusaku take the Field Spell, a sly glint flashed through Kitkallos's eyes, and her lips lifted into a light smile.
"Then it's my resolution. First, Tearlaments Cryme—I add Tearlaments Scheiren from my Deck to my hand!"
After gripping the newly searched card, she declared without hesitation:
"Next, Tearlaments Reinoheart's effect! When this card is sent to the GY by an effect, I can Special Summon it, then send 1 'Tearlaments' card from my hand to the GY!"
Before the sentence even finished, she snapped up a card in her hand, her voice bright and crisp.
"I Special Summon Tearlaments Reinoheart! Then I send the Tearlaments Reinoheart in my hand to the GY!"

Yusaku glanced at the monster appearing on her field, then spoke evenly.
"Finally, we resolve Kelbek—both of us send the top 5 cards of our Decks to the GY!"
Once again, cards rushed through the air like flowing water, sliding off the top of both Decks and dropping into the GY.
Yusaku rapidly scanned the updated GY, then said in a low, forceful tone:
"I activate the effect of Tearlaments Havnis that was just sent to the GY!"
"I return Havnis herself, Chaos Archfiend in my GY, and Tearlaments Merrli on my field to the bottom of the Deck as Fusion Materials!"
"Fusion Summon—Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart!"
At that impassioned declaration, thick black fog surged into the air above the Duel field. Within the fog, three towering silhouettes holding blood-red buds slowly emerged.

Seeing the Fiend-Type monster appear so suddenly, Havnis at the spectator area clenched her tiny fists. Her cheeks puffed slightly as she grumbled through gritted teeth, "That bastard…!"
Beside her, Scheiren gently patted her head, quietly soothing her.
"Don't be scared. That thing has already been beaten by Master and Big Sis before. Right now it's nothing but an empty shell we can drive around."
On the field, after bringing it out, Yusaku called out:
"I activate Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart's effect! When this card is Special Summoned—or while it's on the field, if an Aqua monster is sent to my GY by an effect—I can target 1 card my opponent controls and shuffle it into the Deck!"
Yusaku raised his hand and pointed.
"I target your El Shaddoll Winda—return it to the Extra Deck!"
Kaleido-Heart snapped its blood-red whip forward. With a shriek of tearing air, it lashed across Winda. In an instant, the purple Shaddoll monster shattered into countless gleaming fragments, dissolving like bubbles across the field.
Yusaku looked at Kitkallos and smiled faintly.
"Now your Summon lock is completely gone."
Kitkallos only smiled back, calm and confident.
"The lock is gone, sure—but at the same time, the restriction on me is gone too." Her eyes narrowed slightly with playful warning. "Master, you'd better be careful."
Yusaku laughed softly. "But your Fusion effects… you've already used all of them, haven't you?"
Kitkallos froze, clearly not having considered that.
At the side, Havnis started counting on her fingers with intense seriousness. When she finished, she immediately looked up at Kitkallos and said in a very earnest tone:
"Big Sis, I think Master's right! You used my Fusion effect, Scheiren-oneechan's, and Merrli-oneechan's—like, all of them!"
Kitkallos stiffened, then coughed twice, trying to hide the awkwardness. She forced herself to sound composed.
"Of course I knew that! I only said it like that to test whether you were paying attention to the Duel!"
Scheiren and Merrli exchanged a look and smiled knowingly. They obviously understood—Big Sis had gotten a little turned around mid-Duel and was just scrambling for a graceful exit.
Only the pure-hearted Havnis was still completely fooled. She nodded hard, eyes shining with sincerity.
"Big Sis, I watched super carefully! You used all the Fusion effects, but Master only used Merrli-oneechan's so far—mine and Scheiren-oneechan's still haven't been used at all!"
Kitkallos's expression locked for a split second. Then she coughed again and hurriedly changed the subject.
"Mm. Good. Very good. Worth praising."
Seeing her stubborn attempt to hold the line, Yusaku couldn't help smiling. He stepped neatly onto her "escape route," helping her save face.
"Havnis really was paying attention. I didn't even notice I still had two Fusion effects left." He added, half amused, "I almost forgot their time limit."
Havnis patted her slightly puffed chest and beamed.
"Master, why would we ever need thanks between us?"
Yusaku smiled, said nothing more, and played a card from his hand.
"Then my turn continues! I activate the Field Spell—Primeval Planet Perlereino!"
As the Field Spell activated, the Duel field trembled. Massive platforms—like enormous blue spirit-mushrooms—rose slowly from the ground, with pale-blue water flowing across their surfaces, giving off a warm, gentle glow.
After successfully activating the Field Spell, Yusaku declared its effect loudly.
"Primeval Planet Perlereino's effect! When this card is activated, I can add 1 'Tearlaments' monster from my Deck to my hand!"
"I add Tearlaments Reinoheart to my hand!"
After taking the searched card, Yusaku's voice rang out again.
"Next, I activate the effect of my Tearlaments Kitkallos on the field! I target 1 monster I control—Special Summon 1 'Tearlaments' monster from my hand or GY, then send the targeted monster to the GY!"
"I target herself. I Special Summon Tearlaments Havnis from my hand—then I send Tearlaments Kitkallos to the GY!"
At the command, the Kitkallos on Yusaku's field dissolved into a soft blue glow and drifted toward the GY.
Almost at the same time, a small figure popped into place—Havnis, carrying a huge green hammer and wearing a pale-blue dress. The hem fluttered in the breeze, and her big eyes sparkled with lively light.

Seeing another "herself" appear on the field, the real Havnis in the spectator area jumped with joy, face glowing.
"Yes! I finally get to come out!"
Hearing her cheer, Yusaku smiled slightly.
"I activate the other effect of Tearlaments Kitkallos that was just sent to the GY—then I chain the effect of Tearlaments Havnis that was just Special Summoned!"
"First, Tearlaments Havnis!" Yusaku's voice carried clearly across the arena. "When this card is Summoned or Special Summoned, I send the top 3 cards of my Deck to the GY!"
He lifted three cards from the top and slotted them into the Duel Disk.
After that mill, he continued.
"Next, Tearlaments Kitkallos! When this card is sent to the GY by an effect, I send the top 5 cards of my Deck to the GY!"
Five more cards swept through the air into the GY. Yusaku quickly scanned the updated list, then declared loudly:
"Then I activate the effect of Tearlaments Scheiren that was just sent to the GY by an effect! I chain Shaddoll Beast's effect! I chain the effect of Tearlaments Kashtira in my GY! I chain—"
Yusaku raised his hand and flashed a card in his hand. "And the effect of Tearlaments Kashtira from my hand!"
"First—Tearlaments Kashtira!" he called. "During either player's Main Phase, I can Special Summon this card from my hand, then banish 1 'Tearlaments' card from my hand or GY!"
"I Special Summon it—then I banish the Tearlaments Kashtira in my GY!"

Yusaku didn't pause and continued resolving.
"Next, I activate the effect of Tearlaments Kashtira in my GY—send the top two cards of my Deck to the GY!"
Two more cards dropped into the GY. Yusaku glanced at the Deck, then spoke again.
"Then Shaddoll Beast—I draw 1 card!"
He took the drawn card into his hand and immediately announced:
"Finally, Tearlaments Scheiren! I return Scheiren herself and Tearlaments Kitkallos in my GY to the bottom of the Deck as Fusion Materials!"
"Fusion Summon—descend, my beloved… Tearlaments Rulkallos!"
At that heartfelt declaration, a dazzling blue pillar of light erupted above the field.
Within the light, a graceful figure slowly appeared—Rulkallos wearing sleek, form-fitting silver armor, dotted with pale-blue pearls that traced elegant curves.
A sharp longsword rested in her hand. A thin veil of mist coiled around her, and her deep-sea eyes seemed to shine the moment she arrived.

"Waaah! It's Big Sis's battle form!" Havnis stared wide-eyed at the side. "Master actually Summoned her before Big Sis did!"
Hearing the words "my beloved," Scheiren and Merrli both glanced toward Kitkallos at the same time, each with a knowingly amused smile.
Kitkallos, of course, heard it too. A faint blush spread across her pale cheeks. She quickly lowered her head, flicked her eyes over her field and her hand, and her heartbeat skipped without permission.
