Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 – Blood Stalk Kicks Shocker Kindergarten

"If there's nothing else, today's meeting ends here. I need to continue my experiments."Dr. Zola looked around at the HYDRA leaders displayed on the screens and spoke.

"Alright then. Next, we'll wait for the reaction from that Foundation."Pierce nodded, agreeing on behalf of the other HYDRA executives.

"Doctor, bad news—someone has invaded our base!"

Just as Zola was about to disconnect the conference, Shocker's security chief burst in with an emergency report.

The HYDRA leaders had been ready to end the call, but the sudden situation disrupted everything. None of them hung up—they wanted to see what was happening.

"So fast? The Foundation X's retaliation?"Baron Strucker smirked with interest.

"What's there to panic about? We expected this. That previous base was always meant to be a decoy. Personnel and crucial experiment equipment have already been evacuated."Zola frowned at his subordinate's panic.

"Not the previous base—it's this base!"The Shocker commander said urgently through the screen.

"What?! Someone infiltrated this base?!"Zola shot to his feet, eyes sharp.

"How is that possible? The location of this new Shocker base is highly classified within HYDRA. The construction was completely covert.

To prevent leaks, the personnel involved in construction stayed inside after completion, and there were absolutely no communications with the outside. Even the Foundation couldn't locate us through network access.

Our communications right now are also on HYDRA's internal encrypted channel. There is no way the base location was exposed.

And the base has elite security units and a full defense system. How could someone infiltrate unnoticed? How many attackers are there? What weapons are they using?"Pierce asked incredulously.

"Only one intruder. He appeared inside the base as if he materialized out of thin air. No sign of how he got in. All external defenses are untouched."The commander replied, disbelief clear in his voice.

"Connect the surveillance feed. Project the intruder onto the main screen."Zola ordered. Meanwhile, he was already uploading files for emergency network escape—if defenses failed, he intended to flee into the digital world.

One must preserve themselves to fight another day. Zola had seen the path toward infinite evolution; he would not gamble his life.

The feed activated, showing Evolto, transformed into Blood Stalk.

Shocker soldiers unleashed a barrage of bullets and energy weapons—technology developed from Foundation X's contributions—but none of it caused the slightest damage.

Blood Stalk walked through the base as though strolling in a park, completely unhindered. With casual ease, he fired the Nebula Gun, eliminating guards one after another. The fight was so one-sided it was like an adult beating up children in a kindergarten.

"Who is this guy? What is that armor?" One HYDRA leader asked, shaken.

"Most likely the Foundation's answer to our probe."Zola said, his eyes flickering with data analysis patterns.

"Shocker's existence is a top-level secret of HYDRA. Apart from us, only that mysterious Foundation behind Shocker's establishment knows.

This intruder is almost certainly sent by Foundation X."Pierce said grimly.

Evolto noticed the cameras and knew all HYDRA executives were watching. Instead of hiding, he approached one and waved cheerfully.

"Hello, everyone!"

He greeted naturally, then introduced himself:

"I'm here to deliver greetings from Foundation X."

"So it's confirmed."Zola murmured.

"What is your position in the Foundation?"Zola asked via the base network.

Evolto tilted his head."No position. Just an errand boy. You may call me Blood Stalk.

I came because your actions have displeased the boss, so I'm here to remind you."

"With such strength, you're only running errands? Isn't that a waste?"

Pierce asked, entering the communication channel.

Evolto chuckled."Oh? Are you trying to recruit me? Aren't you worried about retaliation?"

"Blood Stalk, if you join HYDRA, we can grant anything—money, power, women—anything you desire."Pierce tempted eagerly.

In his mind, even if Foundation X had advanced technology, every organization depended on people. If HYDRA could obtain their personnel information, they could manipulate and absorb them.

And the breakthrough point was this Blood Stalk.

Evolto smirked."Sounds tempting."

HYDRA executives brightened—until the next sentence dropped like a guillotine:

"But you lack two crucial things—strength and self-awareness.

You're too weak. You can't even handle me. And you want to challenge the Foundation?"

His voice dripped with contempt.

"Blood Stalk, we do not wish to provoke the Foundation. HYDRA and Shocker are willing to cooperate. We only wish to understand and—"Zola began smoothing things over, but Evolto cut him off.

"No, no, no. Foundation has never wanted to cooperate. Your goals don't interest us.

Giving you advanced technology was just an experiment—to see how far you could develop it and what effect it would have on the world.

If I must define it—it's simply a game. You are pieces on the board. And you broke the rules. So I'm here to discipline you."

"Such arrogance!"

HYDRA leaders were furious—being treated like lab rats was beyond humiliation.

"Dr. Zola, can't we defeat him?" Pierce asked tightly.

Zola's eyes flickered with ambition. This was exactly what he craved—to become a god guiding humanity's destiny. He wanted to see whether the Foundation truly had that power.

"I have activated the enhanced modification soldiers. They will arrive shortly."Zola announced.

Evolto grinned."Good. Aside from the lecture, I'm also here to test Shocker's progress.

Send out your enhanced warriors. Don't disappoint me. Otherwise you'll be worthless pieces in the game—and worthless pieces get erased."

"Rest assured, you will not be disappointed."Zola replied tightly.

"Excellent."

Evolto leaned casually against the alloy wall, waiting.

Heavy footsteps soon echoed. Two teams of enhanced soldiers entered from both sides, surrounding Evolto.

Evolto stood casually, unfazed."Let them all come."

At Zola's command, the Shocker enhanced troopers transformed.

They divided into two distinct groups:

• Biotech Gene-modified soldiers, who mutated into animal-like forms—bestial, brutal, overflowing with violence. Pure

beastmen.• Mechanical-modified soldiers, heavily cybernetic, like robots with exposed weapon modules and armor plating.
