The girl crouched behind a half-collapsed wall, breathing hard. Blood still trickled from the cut on her forehead. Her rabbit ears twitched at every small sound.
After wondering for long, she finally realized she was not the only one who ended up with such useless abilities, but all the females are like her.
They had grown small beast traits…soft ears, tails, and faint markings on their skin, but none of them could transform fully into beast form. No one could shift like the males.
The females were stuck halfway, weak and incomplete. Most importantly, almost none of them awakened any real powers. No strength, no speed, no strange abilities to fight the polluted monsters.
They were just… there. Pretty decorations in a world that only cared about survival and killing.
