Ruoxi sat on a broken stone ledge, one leg swinging lazily as she wiped down her weapon. Her movements were practiced and efficient, but relaxed in a way she rarely allowed herself to be.

She frowned slightly. "Why are you being weird?"
His gaze did not waver.

The words fell simply.
