Chapter 178 - Akira's True Power

Due to Akira and Yoimiya's immortality and their close relationship with Guizhong, the two were even referred to as "divine messengers" by the people.

"..." Akira was somewhat helpless about this title, but he didn't hear any warnings from the system. It seemed that such a small matter hadn't yet affected the course of history.

Peaceful days passed for ten years, and even Akira and Yoimiya were amazed that such tranquility could last so long in this chaotic era.

However, misfortune soon struck.

One day, two colossal figures suddenly appeared in the sky.

They were two powerful deities, roaring with such force that the earth trembled. Their powers clashed, exploding against each other's bodies, and divine blood rained down, corroding everything it touched.

At that moment, Guizhong was barefoot in a river, catching fish. A few days ago, Akira had suddenly mentioned that he wanted to eat fish, so today, with nothing else to do, she decided to catch a couple herself.

But the sudden appearance of the two battling deities turned Guizhong's face pale.

Guizhong rushed back to the tribe with all her might. These were her people, and Akira and Yoimiya were there too. Although they were immortal, they had no extraordinary powers and were still like grass in the eyes of deities.

"Akira... Yoimiya, please be safe!" Guizhong quickly reached the outskirts of the tribe.

However, one of the deities let out a mournful cry, unable to withstand the other's power, and was struck with such force that it crashed into the mountain beside the tribe.

In an instant, the entire mountain collapsed, and the massive body of the deity fell directly onto the village!

"Akira! Yoimiya!" Seeing this, Guizhong was stunned, a cold feeling surging from her heart.

Her hands and feet turned icy as she stared in disbelief at the ruins and the dying deity, rooted to the spot.

Guizhong fell to her knees, the fish in her hand dropping to the ground. Tears welled up in her eyes as memories of Akira and Yoimiya's smiles flooded her mind, along with the times her people gathered around her, calling her "Lord of Dust."

It all felt like it had happened just yesterday, but now she was suddenly alone. A sharp pain surged in her heart, making it hard to breathe. Her once cunning eyes now looked lifeless.

"It's all my fault... If only I weren't so weak... If only I hadn't left the village..." Guizhong murmured, tears streaming down her face as she blamed herself for everything.

Beneath the rubble, Akira's hand glowed with golden light, forming a shield that protected the unconscious mortals.

"Akira, what should we do?" Yoimiya frowned. If they revealed their powers now, it would likely alter the course of history. But if they didn't, wouldn't these mortals perish?

"Master, please consider carefully. If you reveal your power, it may change history," the system warned.

"..." Akira looked at the unconscious mortals, his gaze piercing through the dust to see Guizhong crying in self-blame. Her tear-streaked face was heartbreaking, especially with the fish still flopping beside her. Akira made his decision.

"To hell with changing history. Making me play dead to deceive Guizhong is something I can't do," Akira roared. "Forcing me into this cliché plot of pretending to die? Fine, I'll correct the timeline myself!"

In an instant, immense power erupted. The spatial shield expanded, pushing aside the rubble and the gradually lifeless body of the deity.

"..." Outside, Guizhong, who had been sobbing, stopped crying and stared in shock at the scene.

The deity in the sky, thinking the other deity wasn't completely dead, unleashed countless energy attacks, but they had no effect, unable to harm the golden shield.

"Insects! Die." A cold voice echoed through the heavens.

From beneath the golden shield, a figure glowing with golden light flew out. With a snap of his fingers, countless subspace lances pierced through the deity in the sky, killing it instantly.

The figure waved his hand, and the unfortunate deity vanished into thin air, leaving no trace of its resentment.

Akira slowly descended from the sky, seeing that Yoimiya had already settled all the mortals. The two then turned to Guizhong.

Guizhong stared at them in disbelief, her eyes filled with shock.

"Guizhong..." Akira and Yoimiya looked at her, but before they could say anything, the entire world of Teyvat began to tremble. The sky started to crack, revealing endless voids, and the earth split open, with scorching magma spilling out.

After Guizhong witnessed Akira and Yoimiya's power, the course of history had been severely altered, and the world began to collapse.

"System, correct the timeline!" Akira commanded in his mind.

"Understood, Master," the system responded. In the next moment, a golden light shot from Akira's body into the sky.

The golden power enveloped the entire world of Teyvat, and the collapsing space was instantly repaired.

"Master, the timeline has been forcibly corrected. The effects will appear in the future. Please be mindful of the course of history," the system's voice rang out.

"Since Guizhong is the beneficiary of this timeline correction, her memory will not be affected. Master, think about how to explain this to her."

After saying this, the system fell silent.

Akira looked at Guizhong, who was still staring at him, her eyes filled with questions.

"Guizhong, I'm sorry for hiding this from you. We are not mortals," Akio said seriously.

"Akira, tell me, were you the one who left those pieces of meat at the entrance of the tribe all these years?" Guizhong asked softly.

"Yes," Akira nodded.

"So you are a powerful deity, and Yoimiya too?"

Guizhong looked at the two of them.

They both nodded, no longer hiding the truth.

"I never thought there were two great deities hiding in my tribe!" Guizhong rolled her eyes at Akira. "Akira, when we first met, and I drove away that monster, did you laugh at me for a long time?"

"Not really. I just thought, 'That's Guizhong for you! Can't even kill a cow," Aira grinned.

"You're terrible~" Guizhong walked over and playfully slapped Akira's arm.

"Guizhong, aren't you suspicious of us?"

Yoimiya asked, somewhat embarrassed.

"You're so powerful, and I'm just a weak deity.

What could you possibly want from me? We've known each other for ten years, and I have no reason to doubt you. After all, even if you wanted to do something, I couldn't stop you,"

Guizhong shook her head.

She truly didn't suspect them of any ill intentions, but she felt they must have some purpose. However, since Akira didn't bring it up, she didn't ask either.

Guizhong didn't care too much about these things.
