Chapter 262 - Encountering Shinobu at Narukami Shrine?

"Is this the group of weak and feeble idiots?" Kujou Sara said disdainfully, looking at the scholars cowering in the cell.

"I heard you guys are pretty stubborn." A warrior from the Heavenly Territory Envoy walked over, violently pulled a scholar up, and sneered, "I hope you'll still be this stubborn when you get to the Heavenly Territory Envoy's prison."

"Take them away!" Kujou Sara waved his hand, and the Tenryo magistrate forcibly dragged the scholars away.

Those who walked slowly were kicked over by the warriors of the Heavenly Territory, who dragged them along the ground. The gravel was so sharp that it chafed their skin, leaving blood everywhere.

"Ahhh..." The cries of Sumeru scholars could be heard everywhere.

"This is torture! You deserve to die!"

"Shut up! Don't disturb the Lord's mood. If you dare bark again, I'll make sure you can't bark anymore." The Heavenly Lord's envoy punched the Sumeru Scholar in the stomach, making him vomit up everything he ate last night, but he couldn't utter a sound.

"This is disgusting! Get out of here, don't offend the Lord's eyes." The Heavenly Territory Warrior cursed and dragged away the Sumeru scholar who was in so much pain he couldn't speak.

"..." Hiiragi Chisato and Kujou Sara exchanged a glance. Kujou Sara slightly rubbed her forehead. Her subordinate really regarded Akira as his most admired idol, and he had to bring Akira into everything.

The warriors of the Heavenly Territory now hold Akira in the highest esteem, for both his martial prowess and his character command their respect.

"If rulers and subjects trust each other so much, how can our Inazuma not prosper?" Hiiragi Chisato exclaimed.

"Hahahaha, the future of our Inazuma is infinitely bright!" Kujou Sara laughed, then said, "Master, Chisato, I'll take them back to the Tenryo Magistrate first. After we finish the interrogation, we'll report to the Tenshukaku and send you a message then."

  "Okay," Akira nodded and said.

Kujou Sara led the group of Sumeru scholars out to the Heavenly Territory to perform their duties.

"Let's go back too." Akira said to Hiiragi Chisato, "The Tenryo magistrate's abilities are beyond doubt, and these scholars will confess soon."

The Great Memory Restoration Technique practiced by Tianling is so fearsome that even the fearless Sea Demons are terrified of it, let alone these idiots who sit in offices all day.

"Okay." Hiiragi Chisato nodded and returned to the Kansei-gyō (military office) with Ryūchen; they still had a lot of official business to attend to.

At Sumeru, in the Sanctuary of Surasthana, the great sage Azar, who had rushed over, looked at the sage who had become a fool and was grinning like an idiot. The idiotic grin with his face covered in blood made Azar frown slightly.

"What's going on?" Azar asked coldly.

"I'm sorry, Great Sage, we don't know either. The Sage suddenly became like this," the soldier from the thirty-man group said, shaking his head.

"Let me see…" Azar opened the Void Terminal and scanned the sage.

"..." Azar's expression quickly changed; he couldn't find any reason in the void.

"He looks like he's having a mental breakdown. Could it be the Void Terminal? But that doesn't make sense. I didn't use the Void Terminal on him," Azar pondered.

"Could it be?" Azar suddenly thought of something.

"He's in charge of transporting the void terminals to Inazuma's past. Could he be that god? Does he possess powers similar to consciousness?" Azar frowned. "How come I don't know? Isn't he a god similar to the Thunder God, the one who controls battle?"

"It seems that's how it should be." Azar took a breath, his eyes cold: "When the god we created appears in the world, Inazuma, I will make you pay the most terrible price."

"Guards, take him away and banish him to the desert," Azar said coldly. "Utterly foolish. A person who has lost his wisdom is not worthy of the gaze of the god of wisdom."

"Yes!" The soldiers of the 30-man regiment shuddered when they heard Azar's cold voice. How could he be so cruel to his own men?

However, they dared not disobey Azar's orders in the slightest, and could only nod, lift the grinning sage, and walk out.

"Hehehe... Heavenly Lord of the Central Realm? Narukami? Under our creation of gods, what are you?" Azar's morbid laughter echoed throughout the office.

"Inazuma, prepare to face the wrath of the gods..."

The next morning, Akira stretched, opened his eyes, looked at the stunningly beautiful Hiiragi Chisato beside him, smiled mischievously, and started fidgeting.

"Hmm..." Hiiragi Chisato, still half asleep, felt something was wrong with her body. She raised her head in a daze, looked at Akira, and scolded, "You bad boy, doing bad things so early in the morning."

"Mmm~ Master~" Soon, Hiiragi Chisato's face also turned extremely red. She reached out and hugged Akira, pleading for her lover's affection.

After a long while, Akira got up feeling refreshed, while Hiiragi Chisato continued to sleep contentedly.

The two of them exceeded their quota of official duties yesterday, so letting Hiiragi Chisato rest for a day today won't have much of an impact.

After saying a few words to Hiiragi Chisato, Akira returned to Narukami Taisha.

"Good morning, Lord Akira ~" As soon as he arrived at Myojin Shrine, many young shrine maidens greeted Akira.

Akira nodded to each of them, walked to the Divine Cherry Tree, and was taken aback.

Kuki Shinobu sat under the sacred cherry tree, her green hair cascading down her back. She held a book , engrossed in reading it, occasionally writing or drawing. When she removed her mask, her exquisitely beautiful face, with its slightly youthful appearance, was captivatingly cool.

The morning light shone on her, as if draping her in a rosy robe, making Kuki Shinobu appear somewhat ethereal.

The girl seemed to sense that someone was watching her. She frowned slightly, looked up, and froze when she saw who it was.

The moment Shinobu saw Akira, his heart skipped a beat, and a slight blush rose to his cheeks.

"A couple of days ago," Kuki Shinobu replied, telling Akira about Araki İtto's capture, but Akira wasn't angry.

"That oni is all brawn and no brains, I'm not going to hold a grudge against him." Akira shook his head and looked at Kuki Shinobu, asking, "Are you settling in well at Narukami Taisha?"

"Mmm." Kuki Shinobu nodded and said, "I used to be a shrine maiden, so I'm quite used to life here."
