The next two days in Hollywood were filled with laughter, sightseeing, and a slowly blossoming bond between Ayato and Diantha.
They visited the bustling streets, the grand studios, and small cafés tucked in quiet alleys. Every laugh, every glance, made Diantha's heart beat faster. She found herself thinking about Ayato in ways she hadn't expected—admiring his calm intelligence, his gentle concern for others, and the playful teasing that made her cheeks flush.
Diantha's Second Audition
The morning of her audition, Diantha left Ayato at the hotel, waving goodbye with a bright smile."I'll see you later!" she said, determination in her eyes.
Ayato decided to stroll through Hollywood while she auditioned, enjoying the sights. It was then that he noticed a girl, around fifteen, collapse on the sidewalk. Without hesitation, Ayato dashed forward, catching her in a princess carry and rushing to his hotel.
He gently laid her on a bed in his room and began examining her.
"Unconscious… probably from hunger," he murmured.
He quickly prepared some porridge. The girl slowly opened her eyes, panic flooding her features when she realized she was lying in a hotel bed.
"It's alright," Ayato said softly. "I found you unconscious on the street and brought you here. You need to eat."
A faint growl of hunger confirmed his diagnosis, and he offered her the porridge. She took it cautiously, the warmth and care in his voice easing her tension.
An Unexpected Arrival
Just as the girl started eating, there was a knock on the door. Diantha entered, her eyes bright, a cheerful smile on her face.
"Hi, Ayato!" she said, but stopped mid-step as she saw the girl on the bed. Her heart gave an odd flutter she couldn't explain.
Ayato greeted her warmly."How did the audition go?"
Diantha's eyes sparkled."I… I was selected! I got the role!"
Ayato clapped. "Congratulations! I knew you'd be amazing."
Diantha glanced at the girl on the bed and asked, curious, "And… who's this?"
The girl smiled softly. "I'm Elesa."
Ayato's eyes widened slightly in surprise. Elesa… the future Nimbasa City Gym Leader… and fashion model?
Elesa explained that she had a modeling audition in two days and was on a strict diet to lose a few kilos. Ayato raised an eyebrow.
"An idiot?" he muttered under his breath.
Elesa's cheeks turned crimson. "I am not an idiot!"
Ayato chuckled, stepping closer. "You're beautiful… slim… why would you need a diet?"
Elesa's blush deepened. Diantha, standing slightly behind him, felt a pang of jealousy. Ayato noticed immediately.
Turning to her, he said, "Diantha… you're equally beautiful, you know."
Diantha's cheeks flared red, heart skipping a beat.
Fate Brings Them Together
After Elesa finished eating, Ayato asked, "Where are you staying? I can drop you off."
She told him the hotel and room number. Ayato and Diantha's eyes widened in surprise—it was the same hotel, and their rooms were right next door.
"Fate seems to have a sense of humor," Ayato said with a teasing grin. "Meeting two beautiful women at once… unbelievable."
Elesa blushed and tilted her head. "What's your full name?"
Diantha, curiosity piqued, asked the same.
Ayato's lips curved into a confident smile."Ayato Kamisato."
Both girls froze. Recognition flashed in their eyes. The youngest Pokémon professor… the genius who published the Eevee Evolution Thesis… the discoverer of the Fairy type…
Diantha's heart skipped. Elesa's eyes sparkled with admiration.
Ayato's quiet smile conveyed a single unspoken thought: "This week in Hollywood just became a lot more interesting."
