The coach pointed at the chart that showed me and Jaylon's strengths and weaknesses. And tells the team if me and Jaylon aren't gonna work together we're gonna have to work around that and use these systems in order to stop us from sabotaging each other.
Jaylon leaned back into his chair with no worry about the situation.
"Hurry up and tell us the systems."
The coach tells us how the 2 systems work. The first is Jaylon and Michael. The second is Michael, Yoichi, and Sakura. The first one is because Jaylon works best when the whole team works with him and he plays better as a singular striker and Sakura and Yoichi work better in a 2 striker formation.
The coach changed the subject to the other team, and their strengths. The coach tells everyone about the other team and about their singular threat, Roman.
Valeri smiles in the background and claps his hands.
The coach tells us that the other threat is currently injured so we don't have to worry about him. The coach tells us the Jaylon system works best against the opponents playstyle, since Jaylon's is based on the whole team and all Jaylon has to worry about is out-scoring Roman. And Michael has to worry about making sure Roman can't do whatever he wants.
What the hell? I'm not starting? If I knew that I would've at least attempted to work with him!
I looked at Yoichi and he looked relieved. Jaylon walked over to me and patted me on the head.
"It's only expected that I play and you don't."
"Don't worry, I'll be put back in once you get defeated horribly."
"Is that a bet?"
"No, it's the future."
Ray walked up to me and kneeled down to meet me at eye level.
"Why don't you visit your father?"
"There's no point in visiting him in the hospital if I'm gonna hang out with him once he beats cancer."
Ray shakes her head and walks away.
"Okay."
