Chapter 20 — Divisions and Plans
Inside the factory, Razan sat on the floor, thinking of a way to avoid sleeping on the ground. Loona, sitting beside him, asked curiously:
"You're still trying to figure out how not to sleep on the floor? Just hold on for a bit, it's only one night."
Razan looked at her and suddenly had an idea. He then used the power of darkness, which spread throughout the factory. The darkness began covering the entire place and, within it, took the shape of a giant bed right in front of Razan. He nodded in satisfaction. Loona looked at the scene with a faint smile; who would've thought he'd use a power meant for destruction just to create a bed so he wouldn't have to sleep on the ground?
Razan then jumped onto the bed made of dark power and said:
"Now this is life."
Loona simply lay on the bed with him and said:
"Well, that's enough for today. Let's rest."
She climbed onto Razan's chest, resting her head on him and closing her eyes. Razan looked at Loona lying on his chest and hugged her, saying with a smile:
"Good night."
He was just about to fall asleep when the system spoke:
"Host, don't you want to open the model fragments you obtained today before you go to sleep?"
Razan, half-asleep, muttered:
"Just open them."
The system continued:
"Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Hellfire power of the Ghost Rider (movie version)."
"Congratulations to the host for obtaining the healing fruit power from One Piece."
"Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Wood Release of the First Hokage."
Razan said while closing his eyes:
"Thanks for the good abilities. Now I'm going to sleep, chat."
He finally closed his eyes and began to sleep.
The system replied:
"Good night, host."
The next morning, Razan stood in front of his new subordinates, looking at them. He said:
"Well, it seems I accepted all of you as subordinates, but I didn't explain my plans or what your jobs will be, right?"
"No, boss!" the subordinates shouted back in unison.
Razan continued:
"Well, as you all know, every sovereign has a company. I won't be any different. Now I'm going to create a hospital."
All the fishermen looked confused upon hearing this. Then, the mother with the little girl—who he had rescued earlier—raised her hand and asked:
"Lord Dragon, we can't heal anyone… so what will be our role?"
The others also turned to Razan, curious. Razan answered:
"That's what you'll have to choose. I need three groups: one that will heal people, one for support to build things, and one for security. In other words, you will divide yourselves into the groups you prefer and then sign a contract with me. I will give power to each person according to the group they choose so they can fulfill their functions. If you choose the healing group, I'll give you power to heal people—the doctors of the hospital. If you choose support, I'll give you power to build structures and everything needed for construction. And if you choose security, I'll give you power to handle the noisy demons that might show up. The right line is for healing, the middle one for support, and the left one for security. Make your choice. No need to rush; you can think before deciding."
After saying that, Razan sat beside Loona while they waited for everyone to choose their roles. Razan laid his head on Loona's lap and said:
"We still have a long road ahead…"
Razan sighed. Loona stroked his hair and said:
"And where do you plan to build this hospital? After all, you need territory."
Razan replied while looking at the crowd forming lines:
"I honestly have no idea…"
Loona said:
"I have an idea. Why don't we use the territory from your fight with Adam? After your battle, that place was abandoned. There's not even a wall left standing, and no one is interested in that area anyway since it's not a good place. If we take it over with your fame and reputation, no one will say anything or cause trouble. The only problem is that rebuilding such a large area will require a huge amount of money and resources… which we don't have right now."
Razan said:
"That's a good idea, Loona. And as for the issue of resources and construction materials, don't worry about it."
He smiled, remembering the Wood Release he gained the day before.
"With the power of Wood Release from the anime, which could withstand even a Tailed Beast Bomb, building a district or a city is no problem at all."
Loona then tapped Razan, pointing at the people:
"Look, it seems they've finished choosing."
Razan got up and said:
"Alright, let's go."
He and Loona walked toward the lines and saw three people standing at the front: the bull-man who had knelt to him before, the cat-woman he rescued, and a rabbit standing in the middle line.
Razan looked at them and said:
"It seems you've chosen. Since you're in front, tell me your name and the reason you chose that function. Starting with you."
He pointed at the cat-woman.
The cat-woman looked at Razan and said:
"Sir, my name is Laura. I chose this function because, when I was alive, I was a doctor. So it's something I know how to do well."
Razan asked:
"And what was the reason you ended up in hell? If you don't want to answer, it's fine. I already know none of you who passed my test are psychopaths or maniacs. So if you don't want to talk, I won't force you."
Laura replied:
"Thank you, sir, but I have nothing to hide. The reason I ended up here was simply because I was pregnant and ended up losing my child. I couldn't deal with it and ended up taking my own life shortly after."
Razan looked at her and saw a green glow confirming it was all true. He said softly:
"Sorry for the insensitive question."
Laura said:
"No, sir, you don't need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong."
Razan looked at the rabbit and said:
"And you? What's your name and your reason for choosing this function?"
"Sir, my name is Jon. I'm in the support group because I was an architect when I was alive, and I believe this is the best way I can help you. As for the reason I ended up in hell… it was just my addiction to gambling: horse races, lottery, everything you can think of. I tried to make money through betting, until one day… I died in the street because one of the thugs I owed got tired of waiting."
Looking at Jon, Razan nodded in confirmation. He then turned to the last one, the bull-man who was the first to ask to be his subordinate.
"And you? Why did you choose security?"
"Sir, my name is Joe. I chose this because, when I was alive, I was an underground fighter, and the only thing I know how to do is fight. So it's the only function I can fulfill. And the reason I'm in hell is because, when I went back home, one of the gamblers who lost money on my victory attacked me outside. During the fight, I ended up killing him in anger, and when the police arrived, they shot me because I was still in a rage beating him."
Razan said:
"I see."
He looked at the three of them and continued:
"Congratulations. None of you lied to me. Even if your pasts weren't glorious or full of happiness but filled with pain and darkness, you still told me everything without lying once. So I believe loyalty should be rewarded. Laura, you will be responsible for the entire hospital and coordination of all the people who chose healing, and in the future, you will interview new people to work in future hospitals we open in other areas or even other rings. Jon, you will be the director responsible for all construction and everyone in that division, and your role will be the same as Laura's within your department. And Joe, you will be the head of security, with the same authority in your division as Laura and Jon."
"Now that everything is settled, I have two more things to announce. First…"
Razan pulled Loona to his side.
"This is Loona. You all know her. She's the one who rescued you. What I want to say is that she is the most important person in the world to me, and because of that, she will be your boss. You can talk to her about anything you need to handle, because I honestly don't like dealing with that stuff."
Loona looked at all of them and said:
"As you have heard, I am your boss. I hope I can count on you to obey my orders and follow my commands."
All the subordinates shouted:
"Yes, Lady Loona!"
Seeing that everything had been handled, Razan began creating contracts and giving them their powers. To the healing group, he granted the Recovery Girl's power and the healing fruit. After finishing with the healers, he gave the support group the Wood Release and Deadpool's regeneration. And finally, to the security group, he granted regeneration and the Hellfire of Ghost Rider.
After all that work, Razan lay down on the bed of darkness while Loona discussed with Jon, Joe, and Laura about their plan to restore Adam's battlefield.
Jon said:
"Ma'am, that location is suitable for construction, but the amount of resources and money we'll need for building materials, support, and logistics is enormous."
Loona listened, thinking. Razan, lying down, said:
"I gave you Wood Release. That power can be used to build houses, walls, and every type of structure."
Jon said:
"Sir, this power you gave us is so incredible… and the durability of the wood for construction…"
Razan replied lazily:
"If I use it myself, I can create a wooden dragon and golems to help me fight Adam. They're resistant on that level. If you use it, the wood is far stronger than steel, concrete, and any common material from the human world."
Jon then said:
"Ma'am, with this knowledge, we can restore the entire district and have the hospital ready in less than a week. All I need to do is design the buildings and streets. In one week, everything will be ready, ma'am."
Loona said:
"Alright. You two, for now, count the number of people that chose each division to understand which has more and which has fewer. Then you're dismissed. Oh, and don't forget to ask the healing division to check who's injured and start treating them."
Laura replied:
"Yes, ma'am. We'll look for the people who need treatment."
Watching them walk away, Razan said:
"Very nice. Seems you're pretty good at this leadership stuff."
Loona laid her head on his legs and said:
"Someone has to be good at it, right?"
Razan stroked her while saying:
"Well, I'm really not good at handling any of this, so I'm very grateful for your help. Now that we have a plan, all that's left is to move forward. Right?"
Loona said:
"It's the only way. Now we just keep moving forward."
