Chapter 61 – One Year Later
One year later.
At that moment, Razan and Loona were standing in front of a hotel, the grand structure looming before them with its bright sign reading "Hazbin Hotel" in bold, optimistic letters.
Razan said with a tired smile:
— So she really did it, huh? Created a hotel to help sinners.
Loona looked at the Hazbin Hotel in front of her, taking in the colorful exterior and the faint sounds of activity coming from inside, and said:
— Well, it's true. I didn't think she would actually go through with her plan, but if she wants to fight for redemption… why did Charlie choose a hotel?
Razan looked at the hotel, studying its architecture with a mix of amusement and curiosity, and said:
— Well, who knows. After all, what does a hotel, where people come to have fun, have to do with redemption? I don't know. If she wanted to do redemption, it would be easier to create something like an inn or something like that.
Loona said: Well, let's go in, right? We said we would support them, didn't we?
Razan let out a tired sigh, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced at the building once more, and said:
— Well, what can we do? We promised, right? Help her with her somewhat childish dream… not too childish of hers.
Loona gave a smile and said: Well, if she wasn't this Disney princess that she is, we wouldn't be friends, would we?
Razan gave a smile:
— Well, you're right about that point. Her being so innocent, being a happy idiot is what makes us like her, even if sometimes she's a bit hard to deal with for being very stubborn and hard-headed.
Loona said: Well, I can't deny that. She's very persistent when she decides she has to do something.
Razan said:
— Well, let's go in. She must already be waiting for us.
They then headed toward the Hazbin Hotel, their footsteps echoing on the stone path leading to the entrance.
Arriving at the hotel door, they opened it and saw the people inside having a meeting with Charlie, Vaggie, Angel, Husk, Nifty, and Alastor.
Seeing this, Razan said:
— Hey, everyone! How's it going?
Charlie, seeing that Razan and Loona had arrived, jumped on him happily, her arms wrapping around his neck in an enthusiastic hug.
Razan just gave a tired smile and held her, steadying himself against the sudden weight.
Charlie looked at Razan and Loona and said:
— Thank you for agreeing to help us. I know you guys are very busy.
Loona said smiling:
— You mean I'm super busy. He doesn't do anything all day.
Razan said complaining:
— Hey, my job is to protect our city. I'm like the line of defense. There's no good reason for me to work outside of that role. I'm very important, okay?
Charlie smiled and said:
— We know that in times of crisis you're very important, but the problem is that in normal times you're super lazy and leave everything for Loona to handle.
Razan looked at her with a strange look and said:
— You're the last person who can say that. Your relationship with Vaggie works practically the same way as mine with Loona.
Charlie said pulling his cheeks:
— What do you mean? I'm not a lazy dragon like you. I do my job!
Razan pulled her cheeks too and said:
— Yes, but you're very naive and Vaggie has to take care of you so you don't get tricked into selling your soul for a candy.
Loona ignored the two idiots and approached Vaggie and said:
— So, how are things around here?
Vaggie smiled and said:
— They're good boys.
She then looked at Alastor who was smiling while watching the mess between Charlie and Razan and said:
— I just don't trust that guy at all.
Loona looked at Alastor and said:
— You're right. I think the same. After all, he's not exactly an easy being to get along with. The more powerful a being is in hell, the more psychopathic he can be.
She then looked at the two fighting and said:
— Our idiots are the exception of the exception in this place.
Vaggie, hearing this, stayed silent and smiling said:
— Yes, we were very lucky to find happiness in such a horrible place.
At that moment, Angel, who couldn't take the mess between Charlie and Razan anymore, stood up and said:
— Well, Flower, can you introduce your friends to us?
Charlie, who was pulling Razan's cheek, got embarrassed seeing everyone staring at her, got up from the ground and said:
— Well, he's Razan, this is Loona. They're my best friends. We've known each other for years.
Razan smiling said:
— Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all.
He looked at Alastor and smiling said:
— Despite some of you not liking me very much, I really don't mind being friends with the rest. So, it's a pleasure to meet you all.
Razan looked at them and thought:
So the original plot finally started, huh?
