The past two months since Lady Venula Zen, my sword instructor had arrived. My father I have learned I requested a ranger from one of the Kings Knights. However the Knight sent her. This lady instead of any other to train me instead. Having that first day been humiliated I haven't stopped once to write within these pages of mine.

To be utterly honest I have done everything I can. At night now after dinner I practice the sword stances withing my room. I still have yet to best Lady Venula even once. Her arms made of Atom tissues were what made fighting her sword difficult. Since within instead of muscles, she had gears and wires that turned and pulled. She could life at least three pounds of weight with those arms. So human looking they were if not for the metal shine to them.

But the sun is up and today my brother has requested that we go out on a hunt. However our world was mostly rolling grass hills and rocky steep dropping cliffs. And if not that then wide open oceans with dark waters that looked more like a empty night sky of the void.

I stood up from my chair within my room with a stretch. Walking around the large King size bed with it's Ebony frame, black cotton sheets of the highest degree. The black fur blanket covered it all as the mirror in the corner showed my messy black hair and ruby red eyes. I had been awake maybe fifteen minutes so far. And I changed my white sleeping shirt with a black long sleeve shirt that was loose enough that it didn't quit cling to my skin.

Then pulling on some black pants made of metal string. Smooth and able to take a few bullets like the overcoats of the army and house guard. But they were two layers. The outside was the metal strings and the inside was a denim cotton to avoid the metal strings cutting into the flesh.

To finish the look I grabbed the dark red and black overcoat of my family. The dark red looked almost like the shade of a freshly picked apple. As the outside was a deep oily like black mad of the same metal strings sewn together. Fixing the laces of both my black boots I started out my door.

Opening the door saw my guard outside my door as always. The sword poking beneath his black metal overcoat that shined off the lightbulbs from the sides of the walls within their glass casings, as bronze hooks come out the walls side holding each lightbulb like a lantern.

"Morning my lord." He said as I walked down the hall. Not even realizing he closed my bedroom door for me.

"Very good morn I suppose. Anew news of the hunt my brother has planned for us today?" I asked not even realizing that since my training with Venule Zen, my sword trainer. That I walked different in a way. More strength behind each step. More sure suppose. Unlike the constant light steps of two months ago before she came. And my shoulders did not slag forwards like some constantly depressed fool as easily. Now they were straighter and strengthened from the constant sword to sword blows, the practice had changed me without even truly realizing.

"Not that I have heard. Still going to the eastern isle for the hunt is what I know. But I did hear that the lions of that watery place have begun hunting more inland then they once have, only a few years ago." The guard said as he kept pace within 5 feet behind me consistently. Never too close nor too far. Just a little to the right and back of me.

"Those lions have pelts that are supposed to be able to take metal rounds right?" I ask, not even looking at him as I kept walking rounding a corner and down the hall across the red wine rugs.

"Yes my lord. They killed some poachers a few weeks ago. Serve those men right to hunt on our world without permission." He said with a grin so large I cold feel it without looking at him.

I managed down the metal stairs that circled along the wall to the bottom floor as outside the windows I could se the grav cruisers that my brother had prepared. Large metal ships good for low level flight and travel across a world but not able to break past a planets gravity field into space. Large black squares smoothed along the top with two large wings that held the grav propulsions underneath. Sitting upon that dark green grass. A world with nearly no forests. To see in the distance.

However the lions on this world often stuck to the water. Near lakes and rivers. They had adapted to love the water as well and could swim so much faster then any human or Solrein. Their nicknames had became known as gilled lions. Due to their evolution giving them gills like fish along their necks. Far different from the ones of Earth. I had only seen pictures of the true blooded lions of the Pure World.

Upon reaching outside the air was a mild warmth. The ocean offering a cold breeze. And the sun offering heat onto us like snakes. People moved all around the 4 ships carry supplies in metal crates. Wearing black overcoats that reached down to the knees. The metal strings absorbing the heat from the sun keep as warm against the oceans breeze. As below off the cliff one could see the dark waters turn white with how they crashed against the rocks so near land. Yet it was a half mile drop before you could hit the water. I knew personally how slow it could feel as you fell.

I shuddered turning back to black metal ships. My brother was talking with one of my fathers knights who seemed would be accompanying us. It was a sight that one did not see often unless you were a Solrein or solider. Knights also known as spellblood knights. They were trained to be killers. No trained is wrong. Made. Made from flesh to wear the armor of champions.

Armor that was a inch think of Galactic Steel. With metal gears that turned and pulled wires within. AT the joints you could see these gears. Gears that crushed and broke swords easier then a lumber jack man snapping a twig. This armor made someone who was 6 foot look nearly 6 inches taller just from how big it was. The metal was gold and black painted with red undertones. The colors of our family house.

I was stuck looking at this masterpiece of a berserker when I realized the house guard had already left me making me feel even more awkward standing their alone. Truth be told not all armor was like. Some Spellblood knight armor was thinner. Made to be faster and lighter. But the Blue prints for the different kinds of armor were heavily guarded and kept secret to each house across the universe. So valuable was a blue print that one could sell it for a solar system. My brother had a set being made for him actually. But it would be another year until finished.

"Blake! Sir Rickon will be accompanying us on our hunt." My brother Rayland, said with a wide grin having turned to me. As I noticed that through all that metal at the top a head without a helmet poked out with a gentle smile.

"Indeed I am. Under your father Lazinus Justinian Margrave's order of course." He said turning he metal form to look at me fully.

He had bright green eyes. So bright a green they were neon in the iris of his eye. Yet showed something so few had when I looked at them. Truth, Loyalty, and kindness. The kind of eyes that were the opposite of my fathers. The Kind I hoped when people looked at me would see. but knew they would not.

"Well let us not keep everyone waiting Rayland. Are the ships ready to leave?" I asked as I walked towards him. Both of my black boots already had moisture from the wet grass hanging onto them. My messy black had been pushed back out of my eyes from the wind waking up my tired expression.

My dark red and black overcoats wayed from the wind around my knees. As the outside was a deep oily like black mad of the same metal strings sewn together. Just like everyone else's including my brother it shined off the sun.

"Indeed Blake. Sir Rickon please make sure everyone is loaded onto the ships. We must be leaving before the night waters have a chance to claim our prey from the waters shores." My brother said as more of a command mixed with a personal happiness of being in command of one of our fathers knights.

I was Glad our family wore black as our house color. Even if it made us seem as if we were trying to be cooler then we really were. But we were not choosing it for fashion. As I am sure Lady Venula Zeus my sword teacher standing by one of the ships noticed as she shivered from the morning air.

Black absorbed heat. And on a ocean planet it helped greatly. With the strings being metal it held onto heat even better. Without wearing these outside one would have already been shivering with their lips turning blue. But for us we felt as if we were on a nice beach in summer on a balanced world. Balanced worlds being those that had both winter and summer as well as a variety of landscapes.

Ours, as said was a ocean world. Wet grasslands, cliffs, and the world was 74.95 percent water. Or so it was last we checked 5 years ago in my studies.

Moving onto one such ship with my brother the back hatch rose up closing. No windows except in front were the ships pilots were. As within was a warm red light. Red was decided as best long ago as it didn't effect the eyes as harshly when one exited out into the night. Also used for solar and galactic ships as a way to keep everyone from going from bright light to empty space darkness. But even so it was used even for basic cruisers like these since we had no windows.

And so I sat beside my brother on the long metal bench that had a wool cushioning for the seat and back rest that reached all the way down. Each person on board was either talking or reading somethi9ng. It would take about 30 minutes to travel the 300 miles. Going at a relaxing speed of 600 miles per hour.

Sir Rickon sat across from my brother and I in his heavy spellblood knight armor. And beside Sir Rickon was Lady Venula Zeus. Her long chestnut hair was pushed and tied up behind her hair in a bun just like the first day I met here. Her dull brown eyes standing out among all our bright color eyes. Normally a human would have been on the servants ship but due to her rank as Knights Ranger should was allowed. As to be a Ranger meant to serve the Emperors Knights, She outranked everyone within this ship with it warm red lighting. Well except my brother and I of course as she was on our world. Even sir Rickon would have to watch his tongue with her.

A silent agreement between us all was made. Don't annoy the human Lady today.
