Chapter 2 – The Test of KI
Luna: "But you haven't measured your KI yet."
Julian: "No…"
Luna: "Then come to my house."
Julian: "Wh—why?"
Luna: "Because I have KI crystals. You can measure it there."
Julian: "Oh… okay."
Luna handed him a small paper slip.
Luna: "Here. My address."
Julian: "Alright. Bye."
Luna: "Wait!"
Julian: "What now?"
Luna: "What's your magic power?"
Julian: "Cosmic Sword and Cosmic Magic."
Luna: "Hmm… never heard of that."
Julian: "Do you know how I can learn moves? I can't do any attacks right now."
Luna: "You can create new moves… but I can't teach you."
Julian: "Why not?"
Luna: "I'm a Fire wielder. I learned by copying magic from scrolls. But your cosmic magic… there are no scrolls. You'll have to create everything yourself."
Julian: "Ah… so I'm on my own."
Luna: "I'll help however I can. And come tomorrow, alright?"
Julian: "Got it. Bye.

THE NEXT DAY
Julian wandered through an elite neighborhood.
Julian: "She said 'house'… but this is a whole mansion."
A voice called out from the balcony.
Luna: "Julian! Up here!"
He entered the enormous estate. Luna came down the stairs wearing a soft, elegant dress.
Luna: "Welcome to my home! Come have breakfast first."
While eating, Julian couldn't stop staring around at the huge hall.
Julian: "When are we starting?"
Luna: "Right now. Follow me."
They walked through one corridor after another.
Julian: "Just how big is this place?"
Luna: "It's Japan's largest mansion."
Julian: "…WHAT?"
Julian almost choked on air.
They stepped into a dark room filled with glowing crystals.
Luna: "There are different levels of KI crystals:
• Type 1 → measures up to 100
• Type 2 → up to 200
• Type 3 → up to 500
• Type 4 → up to 1000
… and so on."
She handed him the first crystal.
Julian placed his hand on it—
BOOM!
Julian: "A-AHH! I'm sorry! Is it expensive?!"
Luna: "N-No… it's fine…"
But she was shocked.
She gave him the second crystal.
BOOM!
Third crystal.
BOOM!
Luna: What is he…?
Finally, she handed him the fourth crystal—capable of reading up to 1000.
Julian touched it gently.
The crystal glowed fiercely but didn't break.
KI: 993 / 1000
Luna: "That's… higher than mine. I'm at 555."
Julian: "Still feels unreal."
Luna: "That means your senses are strong."
Julian: "But I still don't know how to use my magic."
Luna: "You'll learn tomorrow… on the battlefield."
Julian: "WHAT?! Tomorrow?! Fight WHAT?!"
Luna: "NCs. Didn't they tell you?"
Julian: "No! I don't know anything!"
Luna: "Relax. Everyone learns in real combat. See you tomorrow."

THE FRONTLINE TRIAL
Hundreds of new cadets gathered. Julian spotted Luna.
Before he could speak, a strong voice echoed.
??? : "Attention, everyone. I am your instructor, Eto. Your task is simple:
Do not let any NC touch the ground. You will battle in the sky using levitation magic.
Form atmost teams of four. The fastest team will be chosen for a special mission."
A boy stepped forward.
Zan: "We'll win easily."
Emily: "Of course. No one here is stronger."
Julian: "Who are those two?"
Luna: "The Paxley siblings. A royal family."
Nami: "Paxley? Sounds like cat family."
Eto: "Teams, get ready!"
The first team failed.
Then the Paxleys fought—ice and water magic in perfect sync.
They finished in five minutes. Impressive, but the crowd didn't clap because of their attitude.
Announcer Zeke: "Next—Luna's team!"
Julian's heart pounded.
Julian: "I'm nervous… I don't know any skills."
Yin: "Then how will you fight?"
Luna: "As I told u you will learn on the battlefield."
Nami: "If you can't fight, I'll protect you!"
Julian: "No need. Even if I die, I'll find a way."
Luna (thinking): That's what I like about him… he never gives up.Even back at the school when he used to get headache he never gave up.
Zeke: "Four fighters, four NCs. Begin!"
Luna: "Strategy! Yin and Nami together. J..juj.Julian, you're with me." Are you okay with that.
Julian: "I'm safer with you anyway."
Luna (mind explodes): HE SAID HE IS SAFER WITH ME(IN THOUGHT)

YIN & NAMI VS NC
Yin charged forward with wind magic.
Two NCs appeared—one sword type, one gun type.
Yin: "Wind Magic: Wind Spikes!"
The sword-type NC blocked and countered. Yin parried and crushed its core.
But the gun NC fired—
A bullet flew toward him—
Nami's green vines snatched it mid-air.
Nami: "Bro, stop leaving me behind!"
Yin: "The other NC—behind you!"
Nami glared OH THIS ONE (with a scary look)
"Take this."
A seed dropped.
Vines erupted and shredded the NC.
Yin: "BRO. MONSTER."

LUNA & JULIAN VS NC
Two NCs approached.
Luna: "I'll take bare hands. You take sword."
Julian: "Okay!"
Luna's sword was grabbed—
Luna smirked.
"Fire Magic: Scorching Flame Blade!"
Her blade heated red-hot, melting the NC's hand before slicing straight through its core.
She turned—
"Julian, did you—"
Julian was on the ground.
His sword lay meters away…
and at the tip, the NC's core was impaled.
Luna: "JULIAN!"
She rushed him to the nurse's office.

NURSE OFFICE
Julian opened his eyes.
Julian: "Ugh… where am I?"
Luna immediately hugged him tightly
Luna: "Are you okay!?"
Julian: "Y-yeah. But… you're kind of suffocating me."
Luna: "S-Sorry! What happened?"
Julian: "When you were fighting NC, I was handling mine. But suddenly my head hurt… like that day in class.
I fell…the NC tried to sneak attack you…
And then… I felt a strange energy in my right hand. It turned purple.
Without thinking, I swung my sword — a purple slash came out and cut the NC in half.
But its core didn't break, so I threw my sword with everything I had… then I fainted."
Luna (softly, embarrassed): "So… you got angry because the NC was about to hurt me…?"
Julian: "Yea, I just don't want to see any comrade get hurt."
Luna: I thought it was because you li..kke.ed (liked)me…
Julian:Huh what i didn't focus.
Just then Yin and Nami burst into the room.
Yin: "We won!! Thanks to Julian — if he killed the NC one second later, we would've lost!"
Julian: "Now we must prepare for the threats ahead."
Luna sat there frozen… replaying her own words in her mind.
