Chapter 9 - Wedding Photos

The photographer was already waiting at the entrance of the studio. Seeing them, he greeted them enthusiastically, patting Sun Zhewen on the shoulder like an old friend. "Hey, groom! Today's your big day, are you ready?"

Sun Zhewen forced a smile and nodded. "Ready."

The photographer laughed heartily. "Great! Come on, get in the car. The place we're going to today is a fantastic shooting location. I guarantee you'll be satisfied."

They got into the prepared vehicle and headed to Fairy Tale Town on the outskirts. Along the way, Li Zhiyan chatted excitedly with the photographer, while Sun Zhewen leaned back in his seat, staring blankly at the scenery outside the window.

Upon arriving at the town, the first thing that caught their eye was a colorful sea of flowers. The gentle breeze brushed over them, causing the flowers to sway gently, as if blessing the happy couple. Li Zhiyan pulled Sun Zhewen into the flower sea, wearing a white wedding dress, looking like a fairy descending to the mortal world.

"Zhewen, come closer." Li Zhiyan took the initiative to put her arm around Sun Zhewen's waist, gently resting her head on his shoulder. Sun Zhewen's body stiffened slightly, but he still complied.

The photographer gave instructions from the side. "Groom, smile! Relax a little." Sun Zhewen tried to force a smile, but his eyes seemed to wander.

Li Zhiyan didn't seem to notice Sun Zhewen's discomfort. She changed poses, sometimes holding up her skirt with both hands and spinning lightly, and sometimes holding Sun Zhewen's hand, gazing deeply into his eyes.

"Zhewen, kiss me," Li Zhiyan said. Sun Zhewen hesitated for a moment, then gently kissed Li Zhiyan's cheek.

"Oh, so light! It's like a kitten lapping milk. Put some effort into it!" The photographer joked with a laugh.

Sun Zhewen's face flushed, and he gave an awkward smile. He kissed Li Zhiyan again, this time putting a little more force into it. Li Zhiyan's smile brightened even further, and she asked the photographer, "Is this okay?"

"Perfect! You two are a match made in heaven." The photographer gave a dramatic thumbs-up.

Next, they went to an ancient-looking bridge. Beneath the bridge, a stream of water flowed gently, with flower petals floating on the surface. Li Zhiyan stepped onto the bridge, turned around, and reached out her hand to Sun Zhewen. Sun Zhewen walked forward and took her hand.

"Great! Hold that pose, it's beautiful!" The photographer excitedly pressed the shutter.

During the shoot, Li Zhiyan was full of energy, constantly communicating with the photographer, wanting to capture the most perfect photos. Sun Zhewen, on the other hand, seemed a bit passive, only mechanically cooperating under Li Zhiyan's guidance.

"Zhewen, look over here. Isn't this angle great?" Li Zhiyan said to Sun Zhewen, pointing to a flower bed.

"Mmm, not bad," Sun Zhewen nodded, his response distracted.

Li Zhiyan saw through him and teased, "Are you thinking about something naughty? Come on, tell us, let us have a laugh."

Sun Zhewen was amused by her words, shaking his head with a smile, "No, I'm just a little tired."

"Tired? Then take a break." Li Zhiyan pulled him to sit on a nearby bench and handed him a bottle of water, "Drink some water and replenish your energy."

Sun Zhewen took the water and drank a mouthful, but his mind was on other things. He knew how much Li Zhiyan was looking forward to this shoot, so he didn't want to disappoint her, but he really felt a bit weary.

"Zhewen, you know, I've dreamed since I was a child of one day wearing a wedding dress and taking a beautiful set of wedding photos with the person I love," Li Zhiyan said softly, resting her head on his shoulder.

Sun Zhewen was stunned, a pang of sadness in his heart. He knew how much Li Zhiyan valued this shoot, but he couldn't fully immerse himself.

"I know, Zhiyan, I'll do my best to cooperate," Sun Zhewen said softly, holding her hand.

Li Zhiyan smiled, "Thank you, Zhewen. I know you're tired too, but I really want to keep these beautiful memories."

Sun Zhewen nodded, silently resolving to do his best to cooperate with Li Zhiyan and take the most beautiful wedding photos.

After resting for a while, they continued shooting. This time, Sun Zhewen clearly put in more emotion. He began to actively interact with Li Zhiyan, and his smile became much more natural.

After the shoot, Sun Zhewen felt like he was about to collapse. He gasped for air, thinking to himself that he'd never been this tired in his life. Who would have thought that a pregnant Li Zhiyan would be able to walk so fast and for so long! He looked at the sweat on his body and couldn't help but question life. Li Zhiyan, this seemingly gentle and delicate woman, was today like she'd been injected with a shot of adrenaline, making him wonder if he was getting old.

"Ugh, I'm really defeated by her," Sun Zhewen muttered as he wiped his sweat. He looked at Li Zhiyan, who was choosing photos, and felt a complex mix of emotions. Although he was there to accompany her, the process was truly exhausting.

Li Zhiyan was at the computer in the photo studio, carefully selecting each photo. A happy smile was on her face, and her eyes were filled with anticipation for the future. She gently stroked her belly, as if saying to the baby that was about to be born, "Baby, look, Mommy took a lot of beautiful photos for you."

After a long while, the people from the photo studio and Li Zhiyan finally came out. The photographer in charge had a face full of smiles and said to Li Zhiyan, "Miss Li, rest assured, I will work overtime to finish everything for you by next Tuesday."

Li Zhiyan nodded, her face still wearing a gentle smile: "Okay, you also have to pay attention to the quality of the photos, okay?"

"No problem, Miss Li, you can rest assured. We'll make every photo absolutely beautiful," the photographer assured them, patting his chest.

Sun Zhewen stood to the side, nearly collapsing from exhaustion, but he forced a smile. He knew these photos were important to Li Zhiyan, and he had to see it through, no matter how tired he was.

The photographer glanced at Sun Zhewen, his eyes filled with a hint of disdain and contempt. In his eyes, Sun Zhewen was just a freeloader, a man living off a woman, and he barely acknowledged him. Turning to Li Zhiyan, the photographer said, "Miss Li, take care, and welcome back anytime."

Li Zhiyan nodded, linking her arm through Sun Zhewen's as they left the studio. Sensing his fatigue, she asked with concern, "Zhewen, are you alright? You worked hard today."

Sun Zhewen gave a wry smile and shook his head, "I'm fine. I'm happy to be here with you."

Back home, Li Zhiyan was still caught up in the day's shoot. Excited, she said, "Zhewen, I think our wedding photos will be beautiful."

Sun Zhewen just replied, "Mmm."

Li Zhiyan then felt she might have gotten a little carried away, and her smile gradually faded, though she still felt a sense of sweetness in her heart. After a moment, she calmed down and said, "Zhewen, you can cook at home in the future. It's not hygienic eating out every day."

Sun Zhewen was looking down at his phone. Hearing this, he raised his head and said with a smile, "It's nothing, I'm used to it."
