Chapter 1 - my life for the past two weeks

My name is Jayden. Most people call me Gen. At least here — and "here," to be exact, is the world of Minecraft. I know it sounds wild and crazy, but listen: I got reincarnated into Minecraft. I don't understand it either, but I found a village after my second day here. I had no bed, so I ran from the mobs. I remember one time I saw a zombie on fire; it was actually horrific. But never mind that.

My weeks of fun here have been kinda boring, just working a job helping a farmer. I look weird, they say — all of the villagers say I look odd, which hey, I definitely do. I have pink eyes and brown hair. Yeah, I look weird. Also the pink eyes happened after I got reincarnated. I'm not complaining though; it's cool. When I glare at people now, it's more intimidating.

I remember I had this fight with a guy at the Brush Tavern. I was having me a sip of water, and this guy poured a drink on me, said I was in his seat.

POV change — past tense

"Hey, you ugly brat, get out of my seat."

I looked back at the guy and said, "Sorry, I didn't know you owned a seat." I grabbed the towel that the tavern owner was handing me, and I patted down my hair to dry it.

He replied, "Then move." He glared down at me, and I just turned and leaned my back against the table at the front, put my arms on there, and glared right back. He looked pissed, and he threw a punch — but this was week one of my reincarnation, so I had a lot of anger to burn. As his fist came down, I kicked him in the gut and stood up. He grabbed his stomach.

I grabbed the back of his shirt and walked — pushed — him outside, and put my hands up as I stepped outside. He did the same, but this time I rushed him and threw a right hook. He went to block, and that left his left side exposed, so I took advantage of that and hit him with a left hook to the side. I then hooked my foot behind his leg and pushed him down. I followed and beat on him repeatedly.

POV — present tense

I think I might have went too far with him. I leaned back in the barn that the farmer lets me use and thought about how bored I was. So I stood up and walked around for a bit. I wondered: if I died, would I respawn?

That thought went across my mind a decent amount, but I wasn't too eager to try it out.

As I walked around, my eyes started to catch a different kind of light from two people walking down the street with umbrellas up. I thought that was weird, and the light my eyes were catching was a dark red coming from around them. This started to happen when I first arrived in this world. I took that as my pink eyes giving me the ability, so I thought, cool — I have powers.

So I experimented with them to see what different colors mean or what they do. I figured out animals have a light blue to them. Some villagers can either have light blue — which I assumed means harmless or pure — or they can have dark blue, which are usually the more aggressive ones. Some animals show this too, but not commonly.

For mobs like zombies, skeletons, etc., they all have a pure black, which I think means mindless evil or something like that.

But this dark red I haven't seen before, so I definitely studied them for a while. And they looked dead at me and stopped in their tracks to look at me, which I didn't stop looking because I don't really care if they see me or not.

The girl with black hair spoke up first. "You got a problem? Or something?"

The guy with blonde hair backed her up.

I replied with a simple, "I don't have a problem," and walked away.

The blonde guy said, "Weirdo," but I could feel the black-haired girl looking at me as I turned. And I felt everything in my body telling me I could take 'em — not just joking, that was my ego. My body was telling me to run. Which, who cares about fear, even though it's there to keep you alive and safe. But who cares?

I thought they were interesting, but I didn't really care beyond that, so I thought, why not go mining?

I did, and I got a bit of iron. It was actually harder to find ore; I think the villagers have used it all, at least from the caves around here.

As I stepped out the cave, I saw the sun dropping, and my breath stopped as I saw the sun dip below the village. One thing I always found odd but definitely cool is the fact that this world is so much more beautiful than OG Earth

I thought this as I began walking to the village. The wind had begun to blow harder, and I heard a distant howl — but louder than a normal wolf or anything I've heard. I turned to the sound, then remembered if my mom was here she would've took off, so I took off and did not look back.

But fate, or whatever, has a funny way of saying "F what you have or want to do," so the thing that howled was now running after me. And I saw pure black, but it had a core of dark blue. So it's not a mob — which means it's human!

I ran faster. Or somewhat human. And I saw a glimpse of it — a huge wolf running on all fours.

A werewolf!

Wait… does that mean those guys with the umbrellas were most likely vampires? Oh, that makes so much sense.

I ran, but of course the werewolf was faster. I was scared out of my pants — not literally, but still. As I ran, my eyes started to glow a lighter pink, and my body felt lighter. But the big wolf was already behind me, reaching out, so I turned, jumped back, and my hand flew out, and a dark blast of energy hit the thing head-on.

Magic?!?

It was what I assumed — it was magic. It started to burn the wolf's face but also make it wither away. The beast howled in agony, and I ran and got into the gates of the village.

One thing I picked up though was its tooth. Why? I played Minecraft with mods before — if this was the werewolves I knew, I had an idea.

But I was so damn tired, so I just laid down.

End of book entry number one.
