"Do you think Jojo will be happy with this selfish decision of yours?" Kael scowled. "He would be devastated knowing that in order to cure his blindness, he'll be separated from you. Both you and I know this for a fact, Sisi."
Sisi couldn't maintain her smile anymore. She was also sad knowing that she would be separated from Jojo prematurely, but she just couldn't bear to see him growing up without the ability to see the world around him.
It was too cruel for the boy, and she would do absolutely anything to free him from such torment, even if it might cost her own freedom.
"There's no guarantee that the faeries can help us. But it is a promise I made to my grandmother—the origin of all faeries," Sisi said. "Jojo might be able to visit me from time to time, but the faeries said that he can't stay with me. Nobody except the faeries is allowed to enter the faerie land."
