Heavens Arena. A magnificent structure located within the Republic of Padokea, soaring nine hundred and ninety-one meters into the sky and boasting a total of two hundred and fifty-one floors.
According to official accounts, this place is a paradise for combat enthusiasts worldwide, as well as the premier destination for martial artists and Nen users seeking fame and fortune.
As long as one possesses a certain level of strength, they can fight in the ring to earn prize money for living expenses while simultaneously honing their skills and power through constant combat. Naturally, this attracts countless individuals confident in their abilities.
Looking at the bustling crowd and deafening noise at the entrance, Allen couldn't help but smile and sigh, "Should I say, 'As expected of Heavens Arena'? Just the registration desk alone has this many people."
"Hahahaha! Don't be fooled by the numbers. Most of them are just here for the spectacle. More than ninety percent of them won't ever make it past the 50th floor in their lifetime," Bodoro explained with a hearty laugh.
From his cheerful and confident demeanor, it was clear he had grasped the basics of Nen and was diligently training in the Four Major Principles.
"Have you been here before?" Allen asked curiously.
Bodoro nodded with a touch of nostalgia. "Yes. I came here a few times when I was young. My best record was reaching the 160th floor. But now, I'm confident I can make it straight to the 200th floor."
"Don't get complacent. In the world of Nen, combat intelligence and abilities are just as important as raw strength. Before you understand your opponent's ability, the biggest taboo is underestimating them. Furthermore, you've only just mastered the Four Major Principles; you're still a long way from being a true master." Allen took the opportunity to give the martial artist a crash course on Nen combat essentials.
Even without conducting a Water Divination test, Allen could tell that Bodoro was 100% a single-minded Enhancer. And the most common mistakes Enhancers made were carelessness and overconfidence.
Looking through the entire Hunter x Hunter series; Uvogin, Kastro, Gon, Rabid Dog...
Almost every single one of them had committed these two errors more than once, and some had even paid the ultimate price with their lives.
"Understood. Please rest assured, I won't bring shame to you." Bodoro bowed respectfully.
"No, it's not about bringing shame to me or not. Sigh... forget it, suit yourself." Allen wore a helpless expression.
Clearly, this martial artist viewed Allen as his Nen teacher. Coupled with the fact that Allen had saved his life, Bodoro maintained an attitude of utter reverence toward him.
Led by the veteran Bodoro, the two quickly completed their registration and officially began their journey in Heavens Arena.
Since they were both Nen users, ordinary contestants stood no chance against them. Opponents couldn't even break through their layer of Ten, allowing them to effortlessly ascend to the 180th floor and earn a substantial sum of prize money.
Just as Allen was jokingly teasing that their living expenses for the next few months were secured, he suddenly saw his name appear on the electronic bulletin board. He immediately handed his juice to Bodoro: "Hold this for a moment; I'll be right back."
"I trust that with your strength, you'll finish the opponent in a second."
"Hard to say. I might just happen to run into a Nen user..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Allen saw a small figure in a white martial arts gi step into the ring.
It was none other than Zushi, the young practitioner of Shingen-Ryu who appeared frequently in the anime.
Glancing up at the stands, Allen spotted the bespectacled and serious-faced Wing, just as expected.
"Hehe, this really is a pleasant surprise. Can you feel it? The Aura radiating from that boy," Allen asked with a smile.
"Incredible! Has he started Nen training at such a young age?" Bodoro's tone held a trace of envy.
If he had learned Nen when he was young, he wouldn't have wasted so many years in the Hunter Exam at his age, nearly getting killed inexplicably in the process.
"I'm going to the match. Talk to you later."
With that, Allen leaped from below onto the ring. Under the gaze of countless spectators, he released his Nen. "Finally, a decent opponent. I trust you think the same, right?"
"Nen..."
Zushi was visibly startled.
"That's right. Since we're both ability users, let's take off the limiters and fight with everything we've got. Show me the results of your training. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you." Allen instantly erupted with an astonishing amount of Aura, nearly blowing the nearby referee off his feet.
So strong!
Zushi immediately recognized the massive gap between himself and his opponent. He quickly looked toward Wing in the stands.
Realizing Allen's overwhelming strength, Wing gave a decisive nod, agreeing to let his disciple give it his all.
Having received permission, Zushi released his own Aura and bowed earnestly. "Please instruct me."
"Begin!"
At the referee's command, Zushi charged first, launching an attack with a considerable amount of Aura concentrated in his fists.
"Good spirit, but too slow."
Allen simply sidestepped and extended a leg to trip him.
Poor Zushi hit the ground hard with a thud, but protected by his Ten, he quickly scrambled up and continued swinging his fists, trying to hit the opponent who was right in front of him.
However, due to the massive disparity in Agility attributes, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't even graze the hem of Allen's clothes. Finally, forced to use his trump card, he began gathering all his Aura into his fist to form Ko, intending to increase his destructive power and damage range to land at least one hit.
But because the preparation and charging time were too long, he was knocked unconscious by a single punch from Allen before he could finish, prematurely ending this lopsided match.
As he walked down from the ring, Allen discovered that defeating Zushi had only given him less than fifty Honor points, and his Talent points remained at zero, not a single point gained.
It was obvious that in the PVP system's judgment, Honor points were awarded based on the opponent's strength: the stronger the opponent, the more points; the weaker, the fewer.
In contrast, Talent points required the opponent's strength to reach a certain critical threshold; they weren't awarded just for fighting any Nen user.
Having clarified these two points, Allen immediately muttered in a voice only he could hear, "As I thought, I have to hunt the strong. I just don't know if repeatedly farming the same person will cause diminishing returns on Honor, or if they'll keep giving Talent points. If there's no decay and I can keep getting Talent points, Hisoka might truly become an inexhaustible gold mine..."
Fortunately, knowing the plot like the back of his hand, he knew that before long, the Phantom Troupe would stage a grand performance in Yorknew City. When that time came, he could join forces with Kurapika and Hisoka to hunt the spider's legs.
He was particularly interested in the unique abilities of several Troupe members.
Moreover, since basically every member of the Phantom Troupe was a mass murderer, he would have absolutely no psychological burden hunting them down, and he could feed his ravenous Red Dragon in the process.
