An hour later, Hitomi entered the lounge, sat in the adjacent chair, and said:
"Nothing serious. I mended the bones and closed the wound. However, there are a few spots where the bones were shattered into tiny pieces, so rehabilitation will take at least a month. He's sleeping now, so it's best to wait until morning." She reported to Kenshin, who finally sighed in relief.
"Hitomi, you're pure gold! What would I do without you?" He said with a smile, lifting her into the air with telekinesis and smoothly pulling her onto his lap.
"And what would I do without you?" Hitomi whispered with a smile, leaning in to kiss him on the lips.
Kasumi, sitting nearby, just rolled her eyes and said, "Enough lovey-dovey. We need to make a plan of action."
Kenshin spent the next few hours in the company of his loving wives. Aya and Natsumi joined a bit later and participated in the discussion, but even so, Kenshin learned nothing new. The plan he had formed in his head in a few minutes was only slightly refined, and its implementation was set to begin the next day.
Over the next few days, Kenshin busied himself solely with constructing the primary perimeter around the future shelter in the company of several sons. Although Kasumi took on part of the load for creating formations, there was still an overwhelming amount of work.
Unfortunately, Natsumi couldn't help due to her late-stage pregnancy. She and Aya were due any day now, bringing Kenshin the desired twentieth level. He eagerly awaited this, hoping not only to upgrade the "Shelter Creation" ability but also to unlock another incredible one.
For three days, most of the sons cleared the designated area of forest, uprooted stumps, and massive boulders. Kenshin had already designed the approximate outline of the future base in his mind, ensuring nothing within several kilometers would obstruct the view.
Over the past four months, Kenshin had upgraded his exo-suit, which could withstand several hundred full-force strikes from a Chunin without issue. Combined with psionics, he could now fight Ichiro on equal terms in close combat. Unfortunately, he still lacked ranged attacks, so a lethal battle with a peak Chunin was out of the question. In contrast, Kenshin had finally mastered levitation, allowing him to fly at 120 km/h effortlessly, making him an incredibly dangerous opponent for peers in the long term.
"Kenshin, darling, let's fly to that mountain lake, please..." Kasumi purred at the evening of the third day after starting the massive project.
"Like flying that much?" He asked with a smile, then lifted her with his mind and rose into the air himself.
"Ah! God, I still can't get used to how quickly your ability develops... When we met, you could barely lift a chair, and now you can effortlessly carry both of us to the mountain lake..." Kasumi whispered, hugging his neck and pressing her body against him.
Kenshin mentally warned the Twenty-Fourth, Twenty-Eighth, and Thirtieth that he was heading to the mountain lake, and they rushed there to stay nearby and assist their father if danger arose.
He soared upward effortlessly, disappearing behind the clouds with Kasumi, complicating ground detection. Though flying with Kasumi was harder than solo, he could still reach 80 km/h and maintain it for about two hours.
"Ha-ha-ha! Kenshin, look how beautiful!" Kasumi squealed, reveling in the views of pristine nature in the sunset rays. She couldn't get used to the all-encompassing joy that free flight brought.
"All this is not more beautiful than you..." He said, "standing" in the air and embracing her from behind.
"What a flatterer you are, Nakayama Kenshin!" Kasumi said with a cheerful smile, turning and pressing her full body against him.
"What a beauty you are, Nakayama Kasumi!" He replied with a smile, diving with her into one of the clouds.
He loved spending time with her. After marriage, Kasumi had awakened a long-suppressed playful little girl trait, fearlessly displaying it to Kenshin, knowing no one would reproach her for showing her feelings now.
Ten minutes later, they landed by the mountain lake, and Kasumi, with a joyful squeal, jumped from a three-meter cliff into the water, emerging without her bra and beckoning Kenshin to join.
Several hours later, in the workshop, Kenshin listened to Ichiro's report, trying to catch subtle details.
"So you're saying Zabuza wasn't in place, and only half an hour later did you detect a slender figure with the formations who quickly grabbed the money and vanished into the forest? That must have been Haku. Zabuza is very cunning and likely feared an ambush..." Kenshin murmured thoughtfully.
"Father, your bombs weren't needed, so better take them back before the brothers hurt themselves..." Ichiro said, pulling several metal containers from his bag, shaped like tin cans.
"You're right. These 'little ones' can punch holes in a Jonin's body, so better keep them with me." He said with a smile, taking back all ten "bombs." In reality, these were homemade explosives built on a simple "nail can" scheme.
The explosive impulse came from one of Kenshin's newest formations. The principle was straightforward: all accumulated world energy gathered at one point and converted into a powerful blast. This ruptured the metal container, hurling nails in all directions with unimaginable force. These weren't ordinary nails; Kenshin had modified their shape and center of gravity for better aerodynamics and trajectory, and each was reinforced a hundredfold with a strengthening formation. Due to their durability, they could punch straight through ten-meter boulders if the impulse was sufficient.
After Ichiro left, Kenshin fully deactivated the bombs, dissipating all energy to prevent an extremely unlikely but highly dangerous detonation. He then formed a detailed work plan for tomorrow in his mind and was about to go to sleep when he heard Natsumi's call.
"Ah, Kenshin, it's starting!" She said mentally, and Kenshin rushed to the "delivery room."
