Terumi Mei spoke with a solemn expression,
"Minato Namikaze? I've heard his name."
"Konoha really has no shame! Sending a Kage-level powerhouse to deal with an ordinary Chunin like me."
Current Minato Namikaze had already made quite a name for himself on the battlefield.
The title
"Yellow Flash"
had emerged during his rampage across the Iwagakure front lines.
However, Minato had not yet developed the Rasengan, his super-killing move. He mostly relied on kunai to kill.
He became a Kage-level powerhouse thanks to the elusive nature of the Flying Thunder God Technique and his godlike speed; his raw destructive power wasn't particularly outstanding yet.
But ninja were high-attack, low-defense units. For the vast majority of people in the Ninja World, the lethality of a kunai was sufficient.
Moreover, Minato's Flying Thunder God gave him an overwhelming advantage against ordinary Chunin and Genin.
When Minato fought ordinary ninja, it was like turning on
"Dynasty Warriors"
mode (mowing down grass); his deterrent force was much greater than that of an ordinary Kage-level powerhouse.
"Relax! There won't be any problems. At most, you'll just lose a bit faster,"
Yagyu looked at Terumi Mei and offered comfort.
Terumi Mei rolled her eyes and said resentfully,
"Minato Namikaze earned his name as the Yellow Flash by killing on the battlefield."
"Rumor has it his Flying Thunder God Technique is incredibly powerful. Once used, he turns into a golden flash and can end an enemy's life in an instant."
"Aren't you afraid he might have malicious intent during the fight? Or if he accidentally slips up... I could die a tragic death."
Yagyu smiled and spoke nonchalantly,
"You don't need to worry about that problem. With me here, you won't be in danger."
Although Minato's strength was decent, Yagyu's Observation Haki and lasers weren't just for show.
Relying on the precognition of Observation Haki and light-speed laser attacks, Yagyu was absolutely confident he could protect Terumi Mei.
Even if Minato came into the match with a mission to kill her, Yagyu could ensure she remained unharmed.
Terumi Mei let out a breath.
"Since you put it that way, I'll go then."
Terumi Mei walked down from the spectator stands and stood in the stadium arena.
Minato Namikaze, with his golden hair, appeared on the field wearing a warm smile.
The middle-aged women in the audience greeted his appearance with enthusiastic applause.
"What a warm guy!"
"Who would have thought that Minato Namikaze, with such a warm smile, could be so cold-blooded on the battlefield?"
"Using the Flying Thunder God to cut down enemy ninja in succession... truly terrifying~"
Yagyu commented nonchalantly while taking out his nail clippers to trim his nails.
"Yellow Flash? I think that title suits you better,"
Genji, sitting next to Yagyu, chuckled upon hearing this.
"Yellow Flash?"
"Minato Namikaze earned that title thanks to the Flying Thunder God and his signature golden hair."
"Hmm~ 'Flash' represents speed, coming from the Flying Thunder God. As for 'Yellow'... well, such pure golden hair is rare."
"It's a nice title, but unfortunately, Minato Namikaze has already trademarked it."
Yagyu spoke with a smile, his expression casual and lazy.
"Are you not interested in the title 'Yellow Flash'?"
"With your current strength, you should be able to earn a title of your own,"
Yagura glanced at Yagyu and huffed.
"Even if I were to get my own title, I wouldn't want something like 'Yellow Flash'."
"Because that title doesn't fully express my power."
"'Yellow Flash'... implies my ability is just flashing? Shallow!"
"Not only can I flash, but I can also glow. How about... calling me the Golden Sun?"
"I am the Sun!"
Yagyu chuckled, his casual tone making it hard to believe he was discussing serious business.
"Forget it!"
"Titles and such are best left for your enemies to decide for you."
Genji shook his head, ending the topic.
While Yagyu and the others chatted idly, the fierce battle between Terumi Mei and Minato Namikaze was unfolding in the stadium.
Minato Namikaze pulled a large handful of special kunai from his ninja pouch, each marked with the seal of the Flying Thunder God.
He tossed these kunai around the perimeter of the arena. They scattered messily on the ground, with quite a few embedding themselves into the walls.
"Minato Namikaze? He truly is a handsome man."
"A pity, though. He's too effeminate; I don't like him!"
Terumi Mei looked Minato up and down twice, then formed hand seals, suddenly spewing acidic liquid from her mouth.
"Lava Style: Acid Toad!"
The strong acidic liquid sprayed toward Minato. He immediately used the Flying Thunder God Technique; with a flicker, he completed a spatial jump, appearing right behind Terumi Mei.
Minato casually picked up the special kunai that had served as his beacon and threw it at her without hesitation.
Terumi Mei had no time to release another jutsu; she tilted her body to the side, dodging the kunai shot.
However, Minato possessed exceptional combat ability. Moving instantly, he appeared right next to the kunai in mid-flight, grabbed it, and swept it horizontally toward Terumi Mei's neck.
Terumi Mei didn't panic at all. In fact, a mocking smile curled at the corners of her mouth.
Boom!
Her body exploded directly, turning into a massive wave that swept toward Minato.
Water Clone!
This Terumi Mei wasn't the real one; she was just a water clone.
Moreover, the clone's explosion wasn't because it lost effectiveness, but because she had channeled all its chakra into releasing a jutsu.
"Water Style: Water Prison Jutsu!"
The liquid generated by the clone's explosion wrapped around Minato, attempting to trap him inside a water prison.
Unfortunately, Minato's reaction speed was second to none in the Ninja World; his neural reflexes were terrifying.
In the original story, the Fourth Raikage, who activated his body's cells to their absolute limit, could barely approach Minato's speed.
With a flicker, Minato used the Flying Thunder God again, teleporting to the edge of the stadium.
"Water Style: Hidden Mist Jutsu!"
Another Terumi Mei emerged from underground. Her body immediately exploded into countless droplets of mist, rapidly enveloping the central arena of the stadium.
The real Terumi Mei was still hiding underground. Knowing some intelligence about Minato, she was well aware that she couldn't fight him head-on.
"Although winning will be difficult, it's not like I don't have a fighting chance. At the very least... I can't lose too ugly!"
Terumi Mei muttered to herself.
