NEW SIVER MEMBERS:-Nameless, Mahyeeka Munroe, 01
--XXXX--
The scream of the child, followed by the raw explosion of Conqueror Haki, rippled across the battlefield like a shockwave.
It hit Eris first.
She was fighting back-to-back with Xebec, her spear a blur of silver motion against the onslaught of the Roger Pirates. But when that specific, agonizing wail of Haki washed over her, she froze.
Her 'Voice' heard the truth instantly. The tiny, fragile, new 'song' of Teach... was gone. Silenced. And the 'song' of Aster was a broken, shattering glass of grief.
Her weapon dropped. Her hands flew to her mouth. A sound that was not human, a mother's sound of absolute breakage, tore from her throat. She collapsed to her knees in the mud and blood, oblivious to the swords swinging toward her.
"TEACH!"
"ERIS!"
Xebec's roar. He grabbed her by the back of her clothes and hauled her upright. He didn't look at the enemy. He looked at her, his wild eyes swimming with his own tears, but burning with solid resolve.
"DO NOT FORGET!" he bellowed, shaking her. "THE PLAN! ERIS! DO NOT FORGET!"
His voice pierced the fog of her grief. The Plan. The vision she had seen. The one, single, impossible path where one of them survived. Teach was gone. Xebec knew it. She knew it. But Aster... Aster was still there. The 'song' that she had sent earlier.
Eris gasped, the air rushing back into her lungs, and looked at her husband. She saw the acceptance of death in his eyes.
She nodded. Her face hardened with resolve. She wiped the tears from her eyes. And picked her spear again. She had one final job left to do.
Xebec turned back to the horde of monsters surrounding them. He looked at Roger, at Shiki, at Newgate, at Kaidō, at Big Mom, at all the Holy Knights, and the rest. They all looked like hungry hyenas.
"Try," he growled, his voice vibrating with his Awakened Haki, "to stay alive."
He let go.
BOOOOOOM
He stopped regulating his Haki. He stopped protecting his own body. He opened the floodgates of his 'Corrosive' spirit, pouring his very life force into the power.
The black sphere around his hand didn't just expand; it erupted. A storm of black, silent, unmaking energy exploded outward.
In that split second of chaos, Eris vanished.
She didn't run. She activated her awakened fruit. She didn't just silence her sound; she silenced her existence. She became a hole in the world, an absence of perception, and she waited. She could not move while in this state and had to wait for the right moment.
And Xebec... Xebec went to war.
It was not a battle. It was a massacre of legends.
Rocks D. Xebec, the man who wanted to rule the World, fought alone against the strongest beings on the planet. And he was winning.
"King's Corrosion!"
He punched the air. A dozen lower-ranking Roger Pirates and traitorous Rocks crew members were caught in the blast. They didn't fly back. They dissolved, their bodies turning to black ash before they could even scream.
"DIE, CAPTAIN!"
Kaidō, in his hybrid dragon form, swung his kanabō with earth-shattering force. Xebec didn't dodge. He caught the spiked club with his bare, Haki-coated hand.
The kanabō hissed. The steel began to crumble under Xebec's touch.
"You're a thousand years too early, brat!" Xebec roared, and he punched Kaidō in the chest. The impact caved in the dragon's scales, sending the massive creature flying through three buildings.
"GURARARA!" Whitebeard swung his naginata, the air cracking. Xebec met it with his saber, the collision shaking the island's bedrock.
"MA-MA-MA-MA!" Big Mom unleashed a torrent of fire and lightning.
Xebec walked through it, his Haki eating the flames, his skin blistering and regenerating in seconds as he burned his life force to keep fighting.
He was a demon. A monster. A father, ready to go till the end. Blood poured from a hundred wounds on his body. His left eye was swollen shut. His ribs were shattered. But he did not stop. He cut down Shiki. He blasted Gaban back with a wave of Haki. He fought Roger to a standstill, their blades locking again and again.
The fight raged for what felt like hours. The island crumbled into the sea.
The fodder died. The weak fled.
Eventually, only the titans were left standing. And Xebec... Xebec finally slowed.
The cost of the Awakened Haki was too high. His body was failing. He was literally burning himself out from the inside.
And for the first time, he stumbled.
Roger saw the opening.
"Divine Departure!"
The red slash caught Xebec in the chest. Blood sprayed. Xebec fell to one knee, using his saber to hold himself up.
Instantly, they were on him. Whitebeard and Roger leading the charge. They surrounded him, weapons drawn, breathing heavy, their bodies covered in strange, black, unhealing burns from his corrosive aura.
Roger stepped forward. He placed the tip of his saber, Ace, against Xebec's throat.
Rogers panted, blood dripping from his wounds. He looked down at his greatest rival.
"It's over, Xebec," Roger said, his voice devoid of his usual laughter. "I never knew... I never knew you were this strong. To take all of us... to push us this far..."
Roger looked at the black, smoking wounds on his own arms. "And that Devil Fruit of yours... I never guessed you had something so lethal. It's terrifying."
He leaned in, a mocking smile forming on his face. "But you made the wrong choice. You fought the world alone. Even your wife... she ran away. She left you to die."
Roger let out a laugh. "Smart woman. But don't worry. As for your remaining son... we'll find him. The Marines, the Government... someone will find the brat."
Xebec stared at the ground. His breathing weak. His body was a ruin. His life? Close to the end.
But at Roger's words... at the mention of his son... his shoulders began to shake.
Slowly, painfully, Rocks D. Xebec lifted his head.
He was smiling.
"You think... this is a Devil Fruit?" he wheezed, blood bubbling past his lips. "Fools. All of you."
Xebec looked at everyone around him. He looked at the black, festering wounds his Haki had left on them.
"From today... none of you will ever have the same strength again. My will... it sticks. It eats. Enjoy the gift I left you."
"Vohahahahaha..."
A bloody laugh came out of his mouth. Then his eyes snapped wide open, blazing with the final flames of his life.
"NOW!!"
A pressure, greater than anything he had released before, erupted from his broken body.
"HE STILL GOT STRENGTH AFTER ALL THAT?!" Whitebeard yelled, stepping back, his eyes wide with shock.
Big Mom shrieked, jumping back on Zeus. Even Roger flinched, raising his sword.
"ERIS! NOW!" Xebec roared, his voice tearing his throat apart.
From the empty air behind the circle of titans, a pillar of Silver Haki burst into existence.
In the center of the silver light, Eris appeared. She was kneeling, her hands clasped in prayer. Blood was streaming from her eyes, her nose, her ears. She was burning her very soul to fuel this one, final move.
She glared at them, her eyes glowing white.
"NOW!" she screamed.
Xebec didn't attack them. He clapped his hands together.
CLAP.
He burned whatever life he had left. He unleashed a 360-degree wave of his Awakened, Corrosive Haki. It didn't aim to kill. It aimed to strip.
The black wave washed over Roger, Whitebeard, Kaido — everyone. For a single, crucial split-second, their Haki defenses, their mental barriers, were corroded away by Xebec's dying will.
They were vulnerable.
In that single window, Eris screamed, pouring her life, her love, and her power into the ultimate technique of the Shizu Shizu no Mi.
"SILENT ARTS: MEMORY SWIPE!"
WOOOOOOSH!!
The silver light exploded, washing over the minds of every living being on God Valley.
She didn't erase their memories. That was impossible on this scale. She silenced a specific truth and replaced it with a lie.
She took the memory of Aster escaping. She took the image of the Marine saving him. And she silenced it.
In its place, she wove a new reality into their minds.
Both of Xebec's sons died on this island. The baby was beheaded. The older boy died in the crossfire. There are no heirs. The line of Rocks ends here.
The silver light faded.
The island went silent.
Roger blinked. Whitebeard shook his head. They all stood there, a strange, sudden fog lifting from their minds. They looked at the dead body of the baby in the mud. They 'remembered' seeing the other boy fall.
It was done. The Rocks' bloodline was extinguished. There was no one left to hunt.
Xebec crumpled. His strength was gone. He fell onto his back, staring up at the smoke-filled sky.
On the other end of the battlefield, Eris collapsed. Her heart gave out.
She fell sideways in the mud, her eyes finding Xebec's.
In their final moments, they had found each other.
They had only moments. The enemy was confused, processing the false memory, giving them a final, private second.
"We did it, love," Xebec's voice whispered in her mind, carried by the Voice of All Things. It was weak, fading, but peaceful.
"He... he will be fine without us... right?" Eris asked, her mental voice a candle that was about to go out.
"He is our son," Xebec replied, his certainty absolute. "Of course."
Eris smiled, as tears started to slide across her face. "I love you, Xebec. I love you, Teach. And... I love you, Aster. I wish in another life we could live together, hap....."
Then silence.
Her eyes closed. Her song ended. Eris of the No Name Clan died.
Xebec watched her go. A single tear slid down his cheek, cutting through the blood. His vision darkened. The pain faded.
He thought of a boy with a white streak in his hair. He thought of a boy holding a Supreme Grade axe, facing a Sea King. He thought of the boy he loved.
Show them, Xebec thought, his final will projecting out into the world, a legacy for the one who lived.
Show them who you are, son.
The King of the World closed his eyes.
Rocks D. Xebec died with a smile on his face.
And with his fall, my story truly began. My name is Aster D. Rocks — son of Eris of the nameless clan, and of Rocks D. Xebec himself. Brother to Teach D. Xebec. And the one they call Sol Ragnarok.
