Veronica's POV
From the corner of my eye, I caught sight of a tall silhouette entering the restaurant. When I turned to look, surprise flickered through me as I recognized Leonardo.
"Leonardo? What brings you here?"
"I was... in the neighborhood. Figured I'd drop by and say hi."
Leonardo walked over, his attention immediately shifting to Denton.
"So this is your 'friend'?"
"Yeah, meet Denton."
I could see right through him. He'd followed me here.
Was he actually concerned about me having dinner with another guy?
"Nice to meet you," Leonardo offered his hand first.
Denton rose and accepted the handshake. "Mr. Nelson, your reputation precedes you."
Anyone in my circle would naturally know about Leonardo.
And Denton struck me as the type who wouldn't pass up a chance to network with someone influential.
But Leonardo's grip intensified, applying deliberate pressure.
If Denton hadn't been physically prepared, his hand would've been damaged.
