Phoebe's POV
I had planned to decline his offer, but when I heard Harold's words and spotted the crowd rushing toward us from across the campus, I gave in.
"Fine. I appreciate you driving me home, Harold."
Since I'd already blown one cover, I didn't need more attention drawn my way. Using Harold's status as protection seemed like the smart move for now.
The grin spreading across Harold's face was impossible to miss. "Don't mention it."
Alistair, keeping pace beside us, looked completely bewildered. 'Harold, you're smiling like an idiot.'
We made our exit fast. When the traditional medicine experts finally showed up, dragging Brian behind them in their haste, Harold had already gotten me past the university gates, across the road, and halfway to Starbrook Estate.
"Missed her again," they muttered in frustration.
