Phoebe's POV
Whatever Mr. Ellis said made the guy bow and grin even wider. He responded, "Sure thing, I'll organize the photos and shoot them to your personal email immediately."
Shortly after, the black sedan pulled away from the school entrance. Anyone observant enough would've spotted how the vehicle avoided every surveillance camera, vanishing as if it had never existed.
I had lunch plans that day. Right before midday, I touched base with Brian and ducked out of school early.
lan was already posted up at the gate, lounging in a gleaming new G-Wagon with no plates. He flagged me down with his cigarette hand, then smoothly tossed the stub straight into a nearby garbage bin. "Hey, Phoebe, right here!" he called out.
I strolled over and burst out, "This totally isn't your style!"
