After lunch, we made our way back to the lab building, tension hanging in the air like a storm cloud thanks to all that forum nonsense.
Nadia looked like the cat who'd gotten the cream, practically radiating smugness, while everyone else scrambled to lift the mood.
Being the baby of the group, I could feel their protective instincts kicking in.
And honestly, the way those forum trolls were coming for me felt like a direct attack on our entire Traditional Medicine Department.
We were already the underdogs around here—when things got rough, we had each other's backs, period.
Dario jumped in to redirect things. "Hey, Phoebe, did you get yourself sorted at the dorms yet?"
The question threw me. I'd been dragged straight to the lab by Chad the second I arrived, and if I hadn't done my homework on this place beforehand, I'd be completely lost.
"Actually, I got my own place off-campus. Wasn't really planning on dorm life."
